So I bet the good Folks at anchor Chiropractic at one of the many home shows that I've done. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the friendliness and professionalism of everybody that works there. My wife has had back issues for years, including muscle spasming. After a few visits, the spasms went away. She was able to get a full night's rest. I cannot recommend anchor highly enough. Unethical, misleading, and a bit of a scam. When I first called I spoke with the Chiropractor and told him I was looking to get my entire body adjusted because I have tension and feel out of alignment in several areas. I was so looking forward to that neck crack and that low back crack. He knew exactly what I wanted when I called to make the appointment. He didn't mention that they do not do regular chiropractic adjustments and only adjust you using the small little click tool. He also knew I was concerned about funds and promised me that if my insurance didn't cover the visit, I would not pay more than $37. My insurance covers a certain number of chiropractic visits per year and I have not used any this year so I expected my insurance to cover my first visit for sure. My entire first visit was spent mostly with a very nice young woman who did her best to build relationship with me, asking lots of personal questions and trying to loosen up the atmosphere, you know what I mean. The Chiropractor evaluated my range of motion and then said I needed X-rays. Then the very nice young woman informed me my visit would be a total of $60 which I had to go pay right then, not at the end of the visit. I asked if the Chiro was going to adjust me and she had to go ask him and then let me know he would go ahead and give me an adjustment even though that wasn't his original plan. I objected to paying the $60 mentioning the insurance was supposed to cover a certain number of visits. She said they would go over that with me in a week after they came up with a comprehensive plan which my husband should join me for since there would be a financial decision. I paid them $60 and then the Chiro brings out his small click tool and that was it. No real chiropractic adjustment, no relief from my tension, and a waste of $60 and the time I spent. It was very misleading and feels pretty bad, like a scam. I can't believe I fell for it. I have been to so many chiros before and this one really got me. So disappointing. read more

I see a lot of bad reviews on here and most of them are only talking about their initial consultations and first visits. You have to remember, that the pain isn't going to go away over night, that with one visit, it's not going to change a whole lot. People think they can just go to a doctor and with that one visit, they're going to be fixed. When have you ever gone to a doctor and it was that easy?? Sometimes you have to be open to new things. Maybe by looking at something from a different point of view, you will find something that helps you that you would've never thought of. They definitely use a different method here, than the typical adjustment that you would imagine. But different can be good. It may also not work for everybody. There's nothing in this world that works for every person. Everybody is different. This however, works for me and maybe it'll work for you too. This is my experience, through the couple of months that I've been coming here. So, I've always been hesitant to go to a chiropractor because they are so expensive. I've had bad back pain for a long time now and earlier this year was my breaking point. I had the worst pain in my life, shooting through my back and other parts of my body. Of course doctors couldn't find anything wrong with me, even though I couldn't sit or lay down or really do anything, but be in tears from the pain. After a month, it went away, but I knew my back pain was getting worse and I had to do something about it. I finally gave in and started looking for a chiropractor because I hated not being able to do certain things that I enjoy because of my back and physical therapy and pain meds didn't work for me. I came across Anchor Chiropractic when I was at a bridal show earlier this year. i was hesitant because looking at the way they do things, I thought it might not actually work because it's not the same way you would think you'd get adjusted. I thought, why spend all this money if it's not going to work, but I got to the point that I had no other options and I had to try something. So, I gave it a chance and came in for a consultation. I've been coming here for a couple of months now and I will be completely honest. Has my pain gone away? No. Has it improved? Yes. Am I glad that I started treatment? Yes. It took a bit, before I felt much improvement. At one point, I thought maybe this treatment wasn't going to work. Maybe I'm spending thousands of dollars for nothing. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work right away. It's been a few months and I'm just now starting to feel a good amount of relief. But I am happy that I started because I feel a lot better than I used to. I still get back pain and aches, but they aren't nearly as bad or as often. I can definitely say that it has been helping, it's just not a quick process. You do need a good amount of adjustments and they only adjust a couple bones per session. They have me set up for a year of adjustments to get the bones to be trained to stay in the correct spots. I have seen improvements and I can't wait to see how I feel at the end of my treatments. Oh and the doctors are amazing. They are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They're very professional and they know what they're talking about. If you start getting pains anywhere, it may link back to a problem in your spine and they know everything about everything and do their best to get you relief from any problem you may be having. They are very thorough with everything they do and their goal is to make you feel like normal again. read more

TLDR: They will sign you up for "membership" with an exorbitant amount of adjustments before helping you, even though other chiropractors in the area can do it for much less with results coming much faster. Props on the educational seminar, but the fear factor is a tad strong. Background: I have been an avid user of chiropractic services for years. I understand the full gambit of what to expect and what new patients need to go through. I came in not being able to stand up straight. This was based on a single spasm that didn't seem to go away. My typical doctor was on vacation and so I chose Anchor for convenience. They did a full comprehensive evaluation (xrays, sublimation evaluation, even a machine used by NASA, supposedly, etc). They were thorough and I will give them that, but they specifically stated I had to sit through an educational seminar they put on (read an hour separate from the evaluation). Keep in mind, I am in pain the whole time. The seminar is informative. A little strong on the fear factor, which I can understand that health needs to be taken seriously. They also tell you to bring in your family and children so you start getting them adjusted even when they are toddlers. At the end, the seminar sounds cult like (get adjusted or you will never be 100% and bring your family so everyone can get the same benefits! I am paraphrasing of course), but it has good info. Evaluation is completed, but I am told I will need to sign up for an adjustment plan before they can do anything. This is where their shady practices come to light. Anchor specifically states they do not adjust the spine at once, but through a special device that moves vertebrae one at a time. The device is backed by other professionals, but it meant as a precision tool and thus it takes longer to do adjustments. With that said, they told me it would take 58 adjustments to bring me back to full strength. My health insurance does not support more than 24 adjustments a year, but they expect me to come in and pay for something that will take basically two years to fix when I am in pain? Talk about opportunists! If you were to go to any other chiropractor, you will typically see the number of adjustments (for my ailment) needed to be 24 a year (number given by multiple different area chirpractors, so not taken out of thin air). After signing up for a plan (like signing up for an athletic club membership), I eventually went through the adjustment. Next day I was still in pain and I was able to stretch it out to be able to stand up. My regular chiropractor was able to adjust me a day later and I walked out with just soreness. I state this to give you a reference to how quickly another qualified chiropractor could have had me back on my feet. After I was back on track with my chiropractor, I cancelled my "membership". I thought this would be the end of my ordeal. After telling them to get rid of my information, I received a text message advertising a "Dinner with the Docs" @ Dave and Busters. Seriously? I get trying to be creative with your advertising, but talking medical stuff in a barcade isn't my idea of professionalism. Also trying to play the social game of inviting me to a complimentary dinner to a fun community outing so I have to sit and listen to an unsolicited advertisement sounds like something all time shares already do. Everyone does not like them, but hey more power to you. I unsubscribed. read more

I was just there. I felt like I wasted 67$. I got the deal from social media. $37 for assessment n $30 for Xray. I needed to know if I go regularly how much I pay. Dr Alli was nice and that girl at front Tiffany won't give me a straight answer. I just wanted to know right away and not letting me go around the bush. They want u to go back again before the answer. I told her insurance not gonna cover n it'll be out of pocket. But no answer. . I basically just wasted money and my time. Why make it so complicated n waste my time. Just tell me everything on the same day. I have no time to go back and forth to find out ur office is really pricey. Uughh very frustrated. After posting my Yelp review I received a phone call from Dr. John. Unfortunately when he called I was at work, but he was very kind to call me back once I got off work. Dr. John was very apologetic of my previous experience and expressed how they have changed the way they do things in their practice to make it less than a sales pitch. Additionally, Dr. John further reviewed my file and expressed that they indeed owe me an insurance reimbursement for the X-Ray. Dr. John also stated that my insurance would have covered 20 chiropractic visits, if I was told that in the beginning, I would've stayed as a patient, but unfortunately I wasn't aware until years later. Anyhow, I appreciate the honesty from the practice and it was nice to have received a reimbursement check of $115... but it is a little disappointing that I had to leave a Yelp review in order to receive my money back. She wanted our full name, the person who referred us and still no price forthcoming. Then she said there was a $30 fee to be assessed but April still wouldn't tell us the cost for service. Talk about a total lack of transparency with pricing! And, there is no mention of pricing on their website either. Felt like we were dealing with a used car salesman with a hidden agenda. My husband and I have been coming to Anchor for a couple months now. It has been awesome! They are both so nice and educate you on the whole process so you know what you are getting into before you even get adjusted! I do lash extensions so am hunched over in a chair most of the time. Before I was seeing Dr. John and Alli I would have consistent soreness but now Im virtually pain free. My husband complained of upper back pain since he was 16 and even though he has been under chiro care before he has never gotten consistent relief. Since goung to Anchor his back hasn't spasmed once and he hasn't had any upper back pain return! And I love that they use the activator method so you arent bending in weird positions and "cracking". Its very quick, comfortable and effective treatment. They also make it easy to pay out of pocket for your services so you can have continued care! read more

We came here for a consultation for my mother. She is an 80-year-old woman living on Social Security. Seems like this company is all about the money and not the patient. If you're not willing to pay upfront for 3 to 4 months and they don't want to bother with you. They also charge $100 for a list of stretches for you to do at home. Any doctor cares about the patient will give you this print out for free. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! I came for a visit here due to having a sharp pain in my ribs following a nasty cold with a prolonged cough. I had been traveling and a family members' chiropractor helped me tremendously with this condition in one visit, but due to distance (being in Hawaii) was unable to give me ongoing care. I came to Anchor Chiropractic knowing that I needed to continue under chiropractic care to resolve this issue. At my first appointment I spent about an hour explaining everything to an assistant, NOT the actual chiropractor. This frustrated me as it felt like a waste of my time, as the doctor is the one who actually needs this information. When I finally saw the doctor I felt rushed to quickly give him the bullet points of all the information I had just told his assistant. Then I was handed back over to the assistant without having received any care and told I could come back in 5 days for an "orientation" and it would be at that time I would have the "opportunity to be adjusted". I felt weird about this, as it seems so wrong to send a person in pain away if you are able to help them. Completely opposite of my previous experience at a different chiropractor who was excited that he could help me and immediately did. Against my instincts, I came back 5 days later to this group orientation. While the presentation was informative and I actually learned and enjoyed it, what followed was very troubling! My personalized plan was given to me to have 48 visits over the next 12 months and their sales tactics made me feel like I was in a used car dealership. Would you like to pay $2000 up front and save 10%...pay monthly...or pay bi-weekly??? I told them I'd need to talk this over with my husband, but in pain I did agree to getting adjusted that evening as part of the first appointment I had already paid for. Dr. John used an activator to perform 3 adjustments to my spine, and completely neglected to treat my rib issue! I left not feeling better at all and slept horribly and was in extreme pain the next day. After sleeping on it and digesting all of this information I knew this was not the place for me! How could they present me with a year long treatment plan without ever having adjusted me?!? Sounds like I was viewed as an income source, not a patient. Fast forward 10 days and I got a recommendation to a new chiropractor who is fabulous and has helped me so much in only 3 visits! She understood what was happening in my first visit with her and explained to me that I had 2 rotated ribs...ouch! She was able to do an adjustment to fix this issue and I experienced immediate relief. Unfortunately since they had been out for awhile they did come back out the next day but she was able to easily adjust them back in and they have since held and I am recovering. So thankful to have found her!!! I look forward to having her as part of my regular healthcare for years to come. Now my husband is going to her and I plan to bring my son as well. Dr. John adjusting my spine and ignoring the rotated rib was obviously extremely dangerous! Whether he was not skilled enough to have seen the issue or chose to ignore it...I'm not sure which is worse! I could have gone to him for 48 visits over the course of a year and never have experienced any relief, as using an activator never would have gotten my rib back into place. I am someone who never writes reviews, but hope that I can save at least one person out there the grief and pain I went through from walking through the door at anchor chiropractic. They really don't even deserve one star, but none is not an option. read more

I wanted to give a well deserved review as I have finished my first round of care with Anchor Chiropractics, I am happy to say Dr. John and Dr. Alli have done more to improve my scoliosis and function of my back than any doctor in Las Vegas I've been to! I've been told by three different doctors my only option was spinal fusion surgery and I really did not want to go down that route. I transferred from another practice after a car accident and didn't realize how misguided I had been with the other guys since it was the first time I had received chiropractic care. I chose Anchor mainly because of the convenient location, but I've stayed because this is a well run practice. The staff is unbelievably friendly and patient! Every single person is sure to say hello and ask how you're doing upon arrival and I really like the energy. Dr's Allie and John are very kind people and you can see that in their genuine interactions with patients and their staff. They know what they're doing and are focused on educating patients about their care and bodies, which has helped me recognize what I can be doing to care for myself between visits. I've suffered from weekly migraines for as long as I can remember and the intensity and frequency have gone down significantly and I've only been going for two months now. From the beginning, the staff ensured I understood my care plan, the cost (affordable with my insurance) and my payment plan, so there's no guessing whatsoever. The office is clean and comfortable and they have an app for your schedule that makes rescheduling easy when life gets hectic (basically every day). I am extremely busy and I appreciate that they are respectful of my time. My visits are very short and I don't recall a time I've had to be there for more than 15 minutes since I haven't really had to wait. I also appreciate that they are active in the community, which shows me there is longevity in their business and I can count on them to stay in town for a very long time. It's difficult to find decent small businesses that last, so I'm glad to see they're doing well. I was optimistic at first. Scheduled an appointment online and when a staff member called to confirm she was very nice and answered my questions. I specifically asked about insurance for which she replied that some insurance plans are accepted. She even stated that I could be reimbursed for any costs I had already paid (I was charged a $37 consultation fee upon booking before I even set foot in the office: 1st red flag) that were more than what my insurance covered. I went through my 1st appt and then was told I needed an X-ray for $60. Again, I have insurance and my co-pay is less than that (2nd red flag). But, I agreed knowing that sometimes you have to pay up front and get reimbursed later and I'm not quick to judge. Little information was given as I was told I would need to come back for another appointment to review the films and treatment plan. I felt like I was at a time share presentation. While informative, it could have been condensed greatly. Then went to another room to finally get recommendations before you're finally slapped with the big price tag, $1700, which could be broken down into monthly payments. It was at this time I was told that my insurance did not cover Chiropractic care. That was a lie, which tells me they didn't even bother to check. I was able to verify my coverage in less than 2 minutes. It seems like they just want the cash up front. When I said I couldn't afford the $300/month I was asked what I could afford. Don't know any doctors who negotiate their payments. Thanks, but no thanks (red flag #3). I understand the importance and benefits of chiropractic care, but why should I pay full price? I have insurance for a reason. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do your research. If you want to use your insurance benefits there are plenty of other great chiropractors that will accept them. If you don't have insurance then they might be worth a shot. read more

This is by far the most caring, passionate, informative, thorough, and friendly chiropractor place I have ever been to. For over a year I have been planning and preparing to thru hike the Appalachian Trail, however I knew that one of the main things that might take me off the trail would be my back. Before coming to Anchor Chiropractic my movement was so limited I was terrified of bending, laying down, stepping, or even sitting the wrong way due to the excruciating and debilitating pain that would follow. While other chiropractors have made me feel worse after leaving, this is the first time I've ever physically felt improvements. I could feel pressure relief within my first couple visits here. After about a month I was suddenly able to lay down in any position and feel comfortable, I haven't had a severe back spasm since I started the adjustments, and when my shoulder unexpectedly went out, they were there for me the same day to help it. I've never been more excited to visit a doctor's office every week because of the relief I always feel afterwards. Although I'll miss them while I'm on my hike, I know I'll be using them again when I come back home! read more
