I want to give an AWESOME shoutout to Anchor Environmental who came out today and removed 9....NINE... one.two.three.four.five.six.seven.eight.NINE massive wasp nests from my property. Everything my critter nightmares are made from!!! One was close to the size of a dinner plate. He took the time to walk through the property and make sure all nests were gone, and he addressed the other issues (main pest control and termite bond). The owner called me initially to make sure he understood my issues and could address them. Gave me a quote and talked with me about what to expect going forward. Very responsive. Super kind. This is a shout out to the ANCHOR team that came to do the inspection for our termite bond renewal. VINCE and NICK were here for hours on one of the hottest days in July. Both demonstrated a courteous can-do, and most importantly, a want-to attitude to go the extra mile to make sure we were secure in our historic home. The team went above and beyond to investigate evidence of moisture that was not present in a previous inspection. They surmised it was stemming from the dehumidifier that we have in our incapsulated crawl space. Apparently, the drain line had become clogged with algae which led to the compressor under performing, etc. That cause, coupled with the humidity from the recent heavy storms, ignited the evidence of mold. The team made freeing the clog a part of their task for the day. Then, suggested that we contact the company we have our contract with for management services to come out for a follow up. Putting this task behind them, the duo pressed forward with placing the annual termite barrier both inside and out. The men while probing around the exterior were respectful of leaving the flower beds as neatly as they found them prior to treatment. Careful explanation was given as to the plan of action they took and why such action was necessary. The men took pictures for evidence for themselves as well as for us and sent them to us prior to leaving. Based on the interaction with these two gentlemen, we feel they value the customer relationship. This in turn helps to strengthen the confidence we have in the company. The company is evidenced based which lends itself to truth in action. I would absolutely recommend this company. read more

Still have the same problem we did in March. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Save your time and money. Started our journey with this company back in March. They couldn't come into the house at first so just treated the outside. No problem. They said they would follow up with an appointment inside when they could. Never heard from anyone. Called and got an appointment a month later. They have probably come to our house 7 times at least since. The owner came once (apparently the two young guys they were sending to our house were just fired). Owner said he would be following up. Never heard back. We have had to call every single time. Never get follow up. They were supposed to come on Monday. We assumed morning because we had been waiting almost a week for them to come since the last time we called. Waited til 10. Never heard from someone. Called and was told they would be here from 3-5. Would have been great to know. No one showed up until after 6. Never got a call about it. Guy was nice that came out but that's not the issue. We called on Monday and asked for the owner to call us. Everything is just getting out of hand. Never heard back from him. The secretary Deena called back on Tuesday and gave a bunch of reasons why the owner still hasn't called. Wednesday we get a called at 6:10 at night from a number we THINK might be him. No idea because no message was left. It's now Friday still haven't heard. Just called and asked to close the account. Deena just said she did everything she could besides put the phone to the owners face. Well, perhaps you should have done that. $450 down the drain. I cannot imagine running a company like this. First of all, poor communication with their office from the beginning. They did not protect my home and I got termites. The SC Dept of Pesticide Regulation did an investigation and the report found signs of negligence. I had to tear apart my entire kitchen to repair the damage (all cabinets, kitchen sink, granite countertops, everything). Anchor Pest Management was not empathetic to my situation at all and even tried to place the blame on me, saying the termites came from pavers I installed. They offered me $350. It was obvious they either did not care about me, or they did not have the capacity to help me. There are several other superior Pest Companies in Charleston. Initially, Anchor was very responsive but since initiating service a few years ago, I have been asked to pay for service multiple times a year when I've already paid due to staff turnover and poor account management. Would recommend going elsewhere for your termite management/termite bonds. read more

Came out for the initial service with no problems. However, they missed the first quarterly service and did not return phone calls when we called to inquire. When we finally did get a hold of someone, they said they would look into it but surprise, surprise we never heard from them. Go with another company, there are several in the Charleston area. I have enough headaches in my life, getting reliable pest management service shouldn't be one of them. read more

We called Anchor after several attempts with our old pest control did not work. Karl and Mark showed up and were very friendly and professional. They seemed very knowledgeable and thorough. Prompt service and were on time for their scheduled appointment. These are the guys to call if you want it done right the first time. Saved me money and time. read more

I had an issue with roaches. I called one company who sprayed and nothing killed them. I called anchor he came out the same day and told me they were chinese roaches and they had to be treated a certain way. In two days the roaches were gone and never came back. Thank goodness bc these roaches flew. No thanks. read more

This experience has not been the best! I contacted them regarding rats under my crawlspace and the initial response was good however, after that they made another appt. to return and never showed up, which I took off of work. Then when I attempted to contact them again, they never answered the phone and it went to voice mail which was full. So needless to say I had to wait for them to contact me. Every time they came they sent a new person and was not interested in going into the crawlspace. One tech advised that I had a dead snake and that the manager would have to come out and extract that since she did not do that. This experience has been most frustrating and I hired them after reviewing the reviews on line and did not see anything that I should be concerned about. There office help has quit and they just used that as an excuse for all the issues. I would reconsider in hiring them. I am looking into the critter man who I spoke to at the home show.
