It was plenty for one person and I had left overs for later! It also paired well with some mango lassi and baklava I bought as well. Parking can be tough in downtown, but there were plenty spots behind the store. Will be back!

However, my plan was to cook them at home on my own charcoal grill. So, full disclosure, the pictures I'm sharing are of their koobideh mixes that I formed on my own skewers and (over)cooked on my grill. Despite overcooking the kebab, they were some of the most flavorful kebabs I've had, in particular the chicken. The beef was deliciously, but pretty standard. The chicken had some magic in it. You should def come to Saffron, buy some things to take home or - better yet - have them serve up some kebab to you.

Everything looked so good, so we picked a couple different pieces of Turkish delight to try. To my surprise, my favorite ended up being the saffron, though rose petal with pomegranate and sour cherry with pastachio were close seconds. I didn't like the coconut or the chocolate one that much, so reminder to myself to skip those next time. After picking up the dessert, I did a quick circle around the store to see what they had. This place is great for families and very reasonably priced for the high quality of food. The place is charming with a terrace out back and the World Cup game in tonight. I have had good service from the people working there except for one older man who I think is the owner. Every time he is working there he is very grumpy looking and he glares at me like he doesn't want me there or something. I usually just ignore it, but the last time I went there he was extremely RUDE and disrespectful. I left without buying my items and I will never go back. I noticed there was another customer commenting here who noticed the same thing about this man when he shopped there. He should not be working in customer service.

At checkout I mentioned that I had just gotten into Indian cinema and loved Aamir Khan, two of his films, PK and Laal Singh Chaddha (An Indian remake of Forrest Gump that was portrayed so brilliantly by Aamir Khan.) being some of my favorites. He then wrote down the name of another film for me to enjoy. And today I visited again and got everything I needed ( I love those MTR Minute meals!
