I was in the area and had heard great things about Mediterranean Food Center so had to check it out for myself. I walked right past it the first time and then had to turn around. The setting at this family-owned spot reminds me of the old-school Italian delis I grew up with in NJ. No frills but all about the delicious food. Walk in and there are a few small tables for dine in, and walk to the deli case to the right to see a display of items and to order. I ordered the vegetarian Mediterranean Combo Plate and loved it - it was a lot of food including falafel, hummus (my fave!), baba ganoush, tabouleh, cucumber/tomato salad, dolma, and pita. In addition to freshly prepared foods, they also offer some imported packaged grocery items in the back. I'll definitely return for more deliciousness when I'm in the area again.

Been coming to Mediterranean Food Center for years specifically for their shawarma wraps which are delicious & my definite favorite in all of Solano County. You can pair the shawarma wrap with one of their salads which makes for a wonderfully balanced meal. Mediterranean Food Center also doubles as a market with plenty of Middle Eastern items that you can take home. Overall delicious & highly recommended.

Love this shop and food center. One of the best if not the best Levantine food in Solano county. The family who owns the store is always very nice. I like buying spices and lupini beans. Shop is pretty small but has a decent variety for its smaller size.

    Chicken shawarma plate

Today was my first time trying this place and I have 0 complaints! The environment is extremely clean as soon as you enter. I got the chicken shawarma plate and it was amazing. The flavors are so rich to the point where each bite is packed with flavor. The service was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly. The red hot sauce and yogurt garlic sauce blew my mind--it's extremely complimentary to the food. I will definitely be returning to try the shawarma sandwich

This picture was taken after we had our fill, so know we received a lot more food. It was just so good we forgot to take the picture!!..

Came to get ingredients to make Dubai Chocolate bars and got the Mediterranean combo with all the goodies. The chicken and gyro meats were great. The grilled onion was a bonus. Salads and hummus also excellent. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend!!

Tried this place for the first time--seems to be run by a very kind couple. The interior could use a bit of refreshing and tidying up, but they appear to manage it all themselves, which is admirable. Let me start by saying that I am a falafel snob :). They offer both meat and vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered the falafel plate, which came with cucumber salad, tabbouleh, a generous portion of hummus, dolma, and warm pita bread. The plate only included two falafel, which was a bit disappointing, and unfortunately, they were quite dry--so perhaps two was enough. I really wanted to like the falafel. The highlight for me was the small in-house market filled with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spices and goods at reasonable prices. That added a unique touch. If you're in the area, and have no other option then I'd recommend giving it a try, especially to support a local business. It won't be a next time for me.

Went here for lunch during a work trip. The gyro I ordered was humongous - was good for two meals. It was tasty, reasonably priced, service was decent. What could have been better was the speed in processing payments. There was a line of people trying to pay and most of us were trying to get back to work. I wouldn't mind having their food again though.

Small Mediterranean market that also offers some of the best fresh made Mediterranean food! I stopped in to buy some ingredients to make the viral Dubai chocolate bars with my kids and decided to grab a snack for the us to share. As always, the chicken shawarma sandwich was on point! Juicy chicken accompanied by fresh veggies and the most delicious sauce. The food is upstaged only by their amazing customer service!

This was really the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Literally everything including the salad. My mom and her co-workers used to come here a lot when she worked in the area so she as craving it. I got us takeout of #1 Chicken shawarma plates which included chicken, hummus, salad and pita bread. I really loved everything and have no complaints. The portions are large and filling. I had a lot left over. Loved that they grilled the meat upon ordering opposed to having it sit in a warmer. Upon arrival I was greeted with warm smiles. I truly appreciate the service here! Fully recommend and I'll be back!

Power luncheon w/ the directors and managers...Mediterranean Food Center is always an excellent choice. We all got the falafel veggie plate and it's perfect for a clean, light, but filling lunch! Their baba ganoush is hands down the best I've had...it's perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of acid and salt! I always feel good after eating here because it's feels incredibly healthy and light. Ms.Shop-Owner/Boss never skips a beat and is kindness hostess and welcoming vibes. It's a market, so order at the counter and take a seat when you're ready to eat! We always make it back to this familiar favorite and we always get the best service. shkran lak!

    Chicken Kabob Plate

You cannot go wrong from ordering food here. The food is amazing and I crave it all the time, though I am not from around there anymore. Whenever I am in Fairfield, this is my go to spot. The Chicken Kabob plate comes with the salad to cucumber and tomatoes with amazing sauce on it. Come with lots of chicken with grilled onion, hummus, and taziki sauce. It has a little of everything and was about $16.99. The service is nothing amazing, but they are kind when I come in. It is truly a hole in a wall place, but that is where you can find the best food. They even have a little store inside as well. If you want good Mediterranean food come here!!

How do you make the salad that comes with the chicken kabab plate?

Do you mean the tomato, cucumber one? It has tomatoes, cucumbers, lemon juice, tahini sauce, salt, pepper and I think that's it.

Having just returned from an all-day wine tour, we decided to split an appetizer and an entree. We love lamb when it is prepared well. The Lamb Kebobs caught our eye and we went for it. And, we started with the warm hummus and pita bread. The quantity was just right for us. The hummus was very good. We have a place in Corvallis, Oregon that prepares the best hummus we've ever had in our lives, so the bar is high. Tarla's hummus was excellent with just the right amount of smokiness. The lamb kebobs were also tasty. And the roasted veggies with them were great. Nice combo of spices. Note: there are only two kebobs. We weren't massively hungry, so it was just right, but it may not be enough for you. Servers were attentive but didn't hover. A very nice experience!
