Today was my first time trying this place and I have 0 complaints! The environment is extremely clean as soon as you enter. I got the chicken shawarma plate and it was amazing. The flavors are so rich to the point where each bite is packed with flavor. The service was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly. Just tried out Mediterranean Food Center for the first time this afternoon. I like that the service was quick. The food is freshly cooked. I feel the prices are fair. I ordered the chicken kabob plate and it comes with a salad and pita bread with hummus. The food looks and tastes very good. I give it a 4 out of 5 star rating due to lack of AC - it was kind of warm in there in my opinion. I will definitely be returning and I recommend giving it a try next time you're up for Mediterranean. read more

Came by on a Friday lunch hour with a group of coworkers and it was packed! Despite the line we were all able to pick up our food (that we called ahead for) and squeezed into a table. The food is inside a mini grocery store filled with other cultural groceries. The staff were super friendly and had several tables inside. The food was so meaty and flavorful for the price! Everything was freshly made and the table had some napkins and condiments. I'm pretty sure I got the meat shawarma plate and it came with salad, hummus, and pita bread. It was plenty for one person and I had left overs for later! It also paired well with some mango lassi and baklava I bought as well. Parking can be tough in downtown, but there were plenty spots behind the store. Will be back! read more

I was in the area and had heard great things about Mediterranean Food Center so had to check it out for myself. I walked right past it the first time and then had to turn around. The setting at this family-owned spot reminds me of the old-school Italian delis I grew up with in NJ. No frills but all about the delicious food. Walk in and there are a few small tables for dine in, and walk to the deli case to the right to see a display of items and to order. I ordered the vegetarian Mediterranean Combo Plate and loved it - it was a lot of food including falafel, hummus (my fave!), baba ganoush, tabouleh, cucumber/tomato salad, dolma, and pita. In addition to freshly prepared foods, they also offer some imported packaged grocery items in the back. I'll definitely return for more deliciousness when I'm in the area again. read more

Been coming to Mediterranean Food Center for years specifically for their shawarma wraps which are delicious & my definite favorite in all of Solano County. You can pair the shawarma wrap with one of their salads which makes for a wonderfully balanced meal. Mediterranean Food Center also doubles as a market with plenty of Middle Eastern items that you can take home. Overall delicious & highly recommended. read more

If you don't know this place you will definitely pass by it...I circled the block a couple times till I found it. We had a taste of this place catchers and I had to have more. I had the chicken sharma sandwich (I'm sure I'm saying it incorrectly‍)...it was amazing. It looked like a burrito and it came with some type of white sauce that was similar to sour cream with a tart taste...it was sooo tasty. There was also a spicy sauce and that was good too. Tried this place for the first time--seems to be run by a very kind couple. The interior could use a bit of refreshing and tidying up, but they appear to manage it all themselves, which is admirable. Let me start by saying that I am a falafel snob :). They offer both meat and vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered the falafel plate, which came with cucumber salad, tabbouleh, a generous portion of hummus, dolma, and warm pita bread. The plate only included two falafel, which was a bit disappointing, and unfortunately, they were quite dry--so perhaps two was enough. I really wanted to like the falafel. The highlight for me was the small in-house market filled with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spices and goods at reasonable prices. That added a unique touch. If you're in the area, and have no other option then I'd recommend giving it a try, especially to support a local business. It won't be a next time for me. read more

Went here for lunch during a work trip. The gyro I ordered was humongous - was good for two meals. It was tasty, reasonably priced, service was decent. What could have been better was the speed in processing payments. There was a line of people trying to pay and most of us were trying to get back to work. This was really the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Literally everything including the salad. My mom and her co-workers used to come here a lot when she worked in the area so she as craving it. I got us takeout of #1 Chicken shawarma plates which included chicken, hummus, salad and pita bread. I really loved everything and have no complaints. The portions are large and filling. I had a lot left over. Loved that they grilled the meat upon ordering opposed to having it sit in a warmer. Upon arrival I was greeted with warm smiles. I truly appreciate the service here! The Chicken Kabob plate comes with the salad to cucumber and tomatoes with amazing sauce on it. Come with lots of chicken with grilled onion, hummus, and taziki sauce. It has a little of everything and was about $16.99. The service is nothing amazing, but they are kind when I come in. It is truly a hole in a wall place, but that is where you can find the best food. My friends been telling me for quite some time to check out this hidden gem and my husband and I are quite pleased. Came here originally to check out their chicken shawarma but decided to order the meat shawarma plate instead which consists of beef and lamb grilled with onions with a big side of salad and hummus, with pita bread to dip or make into little gyros to your liking. The meat here was cooked to perfection! So much flavor, I literally can order a few pounds of the meat itself and just eat it for the week. This spot is a one stop shop with a little market in the back. I didn't get to shop around but from a distance I can see it had some great imported goodies that's definitely worth checking out. They have a few tables in the front with a tub of sanitizing cloths on each table which I really appreciated. Service here was great. Food is delicious and portions are generous. My con is I saw one of the male workers handle money then touched the food with his own hands. It made me almost lose my appetite, but thankfully, I did not do a call in order and was being helped by the lady worker, who I carefully watched as she prepared my order. The chicken is delicious and lemony/citrusy. The red sauce tastes like chili sauce and the white sauce is a garlicky yogurt. The rice plate is one of their newer items and I recommend it. The rice is so flavorful. It comes with two different salads-- the cucumber and tomatoes are refreshing and the other salad with lettuce is also fresh. I saw the lady get the pita from a pita bread bag and microwaved them to keep them warm. The pita is very good with the red and white sauce. The chicken shawarma wrap is like the size of a huge burrito. So good. Portions are big enough for two meals depending on your appetite. Food is delicious. I walked in with a group of around 6 people, and the staff accommodated us well, and they even gave us extra meat! The customer service was top tier.
