I have been to herbalists elsewhere and I have also grown up with Chinese medicine since my childhood. Dr. Tina also helped me when I had a very bad medical situation and quickly mailed me some herbs. Now I'm rebuilding my strength and needed new herbs to support my rebuilding efforts. Other doctors have dismissed me about my wellness concerns because they only treat sickness, but Dr. Tina truly understands that I aim for strength and wellness. My ankle sprain was in addition to my internal issues, and she sent me to a nearby store to pick up the herbs. My swelling went down dramatically with this easy herbal soak that it even impressed my expert osteopath who was treating me for my complex ankle sprain. Dr. Tina is humble for all her knowledge and accessible, which is what I needed in my tough times. I can't wait 2-3 weeks when I have an urgent situation. I drive almost a whole hour each way to see her, but she's worth it! She's also available for telemedicine if you don't want to do the drive. Dr. Tina is in the business because she truly cares and tries to help you figure out the best plan. She's someone you want to know and support you whether for sickness or wellness. PS Some people worry that the herbs taste terrible. Really, it's not a problem.

Neither my husband nor myself speak Chinese so it could be difficult communicating. Dr Zhao performed his treatment today. She was caring ,friendly and best of all speaks English. The treatment given today seemed to give him relief from pain. We made a follow up appointment too. It's nice to know a good acupuncture office in our neighborhood. Tip: Book an afternoon appointment. It's less busy . 9/25/20 Went along with my husband for his second treatment and he suggested I try treatment too. I've been nursing right foot pain for a couple months now. Luckily for me, Dr. Zhao was able to see me. I quickly filled out new patient form and was brought back into the treatment room. I told Dr about my foot problem and she said treatment would likely help. I'm not too fond of needles, so I didn't watch as she went ahead with the treatment. She felt electric stimulation would benefit me. She hooked up the wires to the needles already in place and I could feel the pulsations. My visit was about 1/2 hour. I walked out without heel pain!

CAUTION: DO NOT COME HERE…read more I've been coming to this place with the female acupuncturist and she's great. Today I was in so much pain and came here but she wasn't here. So I figured I'd give the male acupuncturist a try. He was so harsh when putting the needle in my back, I screamed. He removed and re-insert the needle and it was even more painful. He is very harsh and doesn't care about his patients. He was upset that I was screaming from being in so much pain. On top of that, the lady acupuncturist charged me $65 for acupuncture and cupping he wanted to charge me $100. NEVER again will I come back. It's unfortunate for the lady acupuncturist, I really liked her. Stay away from the male acupuncturist.

I'm not down with needles and Tibetan tattoos done by a hammer and a giant pick. But alas. Today, I came relatively close to going ape shit while laying face down during my treatment. Per my last treatment, my neck did feel a helluva lot better... Until I stared practicing began. I understand I can't undo 10 plus years of neck damage in a few months of treatment from various medicines and practices, but one can hope sometimes... Which brings me back to my experience today. The acupuncturist decides to step it up today. While laying facedown, I felt oddly like the main character in 'the diving bell and the butterfly'. I had limited vision and had to be completely still. I felt little pricks and a little hitting sound after every needle entered my flesh. There was never unbearable pain mind you, but the monotonous soreness, hitting sound, and inevitable punctures were a bit too much take sometimes. And if that wasn't enough, my eyeballs spotted a tangle of yellow and white wires. I didn't see (obviously) how it was done, but electrical currents were somehow attached to specified needles, where I felt a low humming of current. Everytime I tried to adjust my neck, it activated the pressure points further due to tightened skin. This whole ordeal lasted only 9 minutes with a before and after presure point massage. I do feel better and I see no evidence of this on my skin. Kinda like the many alien abductees except I remember EVERYTHING. It's 50 dollars per visit, and these people do. Not. Fuck. Around. That being said. I just bent my neck back and felt no pain. That's Always a good sign. And who knows maybe I'm just a big pussy with no pain tolerance. If I go a couple more times... Maybe I'll have the guts to finally get that special tattoo I've always wanted (minus the alcohol).....
