SOOOOOO relaxing! This was my first time at a head spa and I really felt so pampered. The 90 min…read moresession was AMAZINGGG. It comes with 5 different types of hair treatments and they explained that they boil the herbal treatments fresh every morning. It starts off with an analysis where you can see your scalp zoomed in and they'll point out redness, build up, ask questions about stress level/sleep habits etc. Then, you go to the exam room where you can store your belongings in a closet and change into the top provided. The head spa itself was soooo relaxing. We lay down and get a heat mask over our eyes, there's calm music playing, and it's just a combination of gua sha/massage/water etc. Very soothing and relaxing. Afterwards, you go into another room to get hair dried and do the scalp analysis one more time to compare the before and after. I did minus a star because during my session there were 2 times where the music stopped to play ads (either YouTube or Spotify I couldn't tell). It just kind of brought me out of the experience. Calm soothing music, all of a sudden 2 ads back to back, and then back to soothing music. And then it happened another time later on. Would recommend if they get the ad-free version of wherever they're playing their music from! Overall it was an amazing experience but definitely pricey! First time customers do get a 35% discount so please take advantage of that! Once in a while will definitely treat myself to this again.

I came here because my mom has always recommended this place to me. I had been dealing with bad…read moreback pain and finally decided to give it a try. I asked for an acupuncture visit. About 10-15 minutes in I experienced the most horrific pain and panic of my life when I felt like my back had been lit on fire. I have had acupuncture/cupping done before and I know heat is involved but this felt completely different. I genuinely felt fire consume my lower back and let out a scream. He immediately began to pat my back and try to cool me down as I cried and cried. I apologized for screaming out of embarrassment and he said it was "just the heat" but it felt so much more different than what I've experienced before. He did different things to try and "cool me down" and then left me in the room for about 15 minutes. When he came back he removed the needles and once again rubbed things on my back. It also wasn't until later that I realized he never did any cupping on me. As he finished he said "next time just tell me you don't like heat" but this was so much more than just heat. I actually have a pretty high heat tolerance and knew this was just not normal. He then proceeded to charge me $60 and say I might need a second visit if the pain doesn't go away. As I left I began to cry again, I felt like my body was in a state of panic after feeling like I had been lit on fire alive. My family told me heat was normal during the appointment but I guess I didn't explain myself well to them because it was not until they saw my back that they understood what I went through. Everyone that has seen my back is left with their jaw dropped and telling me this is not normal. My family says they will never be going again and my mom is telling everyone she has ever recommended to not go. I understand this could have been an accident but the fact that he did not even own up to it and tried to pass this experience off as normal is what upsets me. Now I still have back pain and this insane burn on my back. If this wasn't an accident and is how this treatment goes, he needs to do a better job at explaining that and also warn clients about the gnarly scars it will leave.
