We were deciding between a few caterers and had a tasting with the Perry's that just sealed the deal. My (now) husband and I walked out of there saying it felt like we just had lunch with our aunt & uncle, it felt like we had known them that long! They are two amazingly warm people -- of course it helps that John is incredibly organized and good at his job and that Nikki makes the most delicious bites. We devoured every little last bite at that tasting.. Nothing went to waste! John was so helpful with everything leading up to the day of as well, from picking out rentals, to working out our timeline. We decided to have a different format (cocktail stations as opposed to a formal sit-down dinner) and working together, John helped us make sure we'd have a smooth flow and that everything would go off without a hitch. As we were working out the details with the rentals, I never felt like he was pushing me one way or the other -- even when he put together the list of kitchen items they'd need (my venue did not provide any set-up), I knew he was being careful about not over-ordering. I really felt like he had my best interests in mind at all times. Having him to coordinate all the details made me feel at ease.. I knew I was in good hands! On our actual wedding day, we were so well taken care of. The staff made sure we were eating (haha, doesn't always happen at weddings!) and everything ran so smoothly. Later in the evening, a very traumatic family emergency happened during the reception that put a frightening pause on the celebration. John was a rock and I really felt like I looked to him for the "What now?" John & Nikki were different from some of our other vendors with whom we'll probably not be in touch again. I feel like we'll be sending John & Nikki Christmas cards for years to come.. :) They embraced us and made us feel like family, and I'm certain they will you too.

John, Nikki, and the staff of A Small Affair are professional, attentive, and easy to work with. My guests and my husband and I were thrilled with the whole "affair". Food was delicious, well prepared and presented. Staff were helpful and considerate. Call these people- you will be happy with your choice.

We exchanged emails which he was also very responsive to. Then my plans changed where I had less people attending and ended up having to go with a smaller (cheaper) package. That's when the conversation stopped. He was no longer responsive, gave me little to no instruction or details for the day of (he couldn't even reply to confirm my reservation), didn't check in to make sure everything was going smoothly and I also called them a couple times the day before the event as well as the day of the event, no answer. On the day of the event, the venue ended up having a concert that ran late and instead of the 11pm entry time he briefly mentioned, they changed it to 12am. My group did not know that after arriving at 11pm. We waited 30 minutes and then ended up going to a different club instead. I've had much better bottle service experience elsewhere. Waste of time and would definitely not recommend.

Jeff was always available via email and text to answer my questions and help me decide where a good place for 14 people would be. With that many people, you need a place to call your home base. and a home base at a club means buying bottles. Everyone in my party was able to skip the line and get in for free- and we ended up getting buy 2 bottles get 1 free which was the perfect amount of alcohol for the night for myself and all my friends. Although the booth space Hudson Terrace gives you is small, Jeff put us at the end so my friends had room to stand around on the side. This was a fantastic birthday and I would definitely recommend Book My Birthday because they will really work with you regarding what you are looking for.

The Argyle Theater - The playbook to their production of a Christmas Carol

So my husband surprised me with tickets because he knows how much I love Broadway shows. Some of the standouts of the night were- the singing and the use of the screens. The actors & vocalist did a great job, really no weak links, they were clear, they projected all the way up to the balcony, and they carried a strong stage presence. The stage was set up in a specific way for the entire show but the screens helped to enhance the scenes by projecting different images to suggest a change in setting, making it a lot more interesting to watch. Some songs resonated more than others, solely because of the weight of the message they possessed. Overall, very talented artists on Long Island that we enjoyed watching use their gifts to bring joy to others. It didn't have to be perfect to be of great substance. I will note that they loosely interpret biblical events throughout the show, especially toward the end, so a few scenes might make you go huh, but as artists, they truly made it their own. It's nice to offer Broadway-like shows close to home, and to support the arts within our communities.

Saw the very last showing for the Annie musical for 2025 with my youngest son and it was such a great talented cast, with great scenic and live orchestra! The remodel of the space was done to keep the theater looking like it's always did just cleaner and more comfortable. Although I thought it was a little weird that they ran out of salty snacks at the bar for a full house performance, but regardless the bartenders were so friendly and warm! Will definitely be back to see more shows here!

I got a deal on Groupon for $45 "Glammed-up selfie spa package for 2" with a mini manicure , glitter tattoo, hairstyle with accessory & make up application. It was super cute and my daughter was so excited. As soon as we walked in the door her entire face lit up and she couldn't stop jumping around with excitement. The girls that did the nails and everything were very sweet. I remember Makayla because she has the same name as my daughter. She was very nice and even gave my daughter a little glittery coin purse. The place is adorable. They have sectioned off areas for everything. It's the perfect place to have a little girls birthday party. Costumes for dress up, manicures and pedicures, make up and hair glitter/glitter tattoos , etc. endless hours of fun awaits. I definitely would come back here. The best part, of course, is the visit from Elsa and Anna. They were so friendly and accommodating, all the kids just naturally loved them. The kids can sometimes be a little ruthless - "do you REALLY have special powers, Elsa?", "Anna, what happened to Kristoff? Did you marry him?", and I even saw one of the kids stepping on Elsa's dress on purpose. You can tell the staff were well-trained and handled everything like true professionals. I gotta say, I think even some of the parents had fun with the sing-a-long as well :). Anyone with a daughter who likes princesses, needs to come here!
