Great Valentine's Day dance!!! This venue has a really great ambiance and is very accommodating. For this event the food was a bit lacking and bland. Not to mention everytime you got up from your seat, your dish and drink were taken away, which annoyed alot of people. If it wasnt for that I would've given 5 stars. read more

I loved it. I attend a picture perfect wedding. The day was beautiful, the wedding party was lovely, the wedding setup was grand and intimate at the same time. Rooms were clean, very nice and comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. Gym, exercise classes and pool available too. Food was delicious. Will go back to relax. They are building a mini town next door that you can walk to with restaurants and stores to browse. I will go back. read more

First of all the location is GREAT! Everything about this place is awesome! Would be a 4 star if waiter Lisa wasn't there. I was at a wedding recently and Lisa walked around serving appetizers; pigs in a blanket. All I asked her was, "is it beef or pork?" She said, "I don't know.....but you don't need to have one" then rolled her eyes and walked away. This type of service is unacceptable! All she had to do is just ask in the kitchen. Pure laziness! I had my wedding here June 2009 at the Country Gardens, and they did an absolutely fantastic job. Everyone was extremely professional and really knew what they were doing (which was great, because I had no clue). The food and service at the cocktail hour and reception were fantastic. The grounds were immaculate for the ceremony. I would definitely recommend this venue for a mid-range budgeted wedding. They made the whole thing very easy! Oh, and we had our rehearsal dinner at Desmonds, and stayed a night at the hotel, too. Desmonds was absolutely delightful, and they did a great job with the dinner and I would definitely recommend them for a small-ish semiformal event. The hotel was a decent; the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, nothing particularly special about the accomodations. read more

I had my wedding reception in the Northhampton room at East Wind in 2006 and it was the most wonderful night of my life! They are true professionals and they did a fantastic job with everything. The food was incredible - to this day everyone raves to me about the food. Not only did the guests get six choices for an entree, but they were offered a second choice. Between the cocktail hour and the dinner everyone was stuffed! The room was set up beautifully and they took care of everything for us. We were treated like royalty both in the bridal suite and throughout the evening. There are so many beautiful places to take pictures and the staff was courteous and attentive. We spent the night there and were very happy with our room, even though we awoke to a fire alarm going off the next morning! Desmond's is the restaurant in the hotel and it is also a great place. We had our rehearsal dinner there and we were very happy with the food and the service. A lot of people wound up at the bar there after the reception was over and were able to continue partying for a while. Overall, I would highly recommend having your wedding at East Wind, or even just going there for the spa or for dinner or brunch at Desmond's. Your wedding day should be special and they made it an evening I will never forget! read more

East wind did such a wonderful job for our wedding. My husband and I could not be any happier. Michele was absolutely amazing, as was Faith...both helped us in our time of planning. OUR Maitre'd Suzanne went above and beyond, as did put bridal attendant Jacqueline. My husband and I speak so highly of east wind and recommend it to anyone and everyone for any event. I can only speak of their wedding services, but I can only imagine that any event would be fabulous here. I know if we ever need a venue in the future, this is where we will be going. From the first time we booked to the days after the wedding, we felt loved, appreciated, and cared for. Everyone is so personable and helpful no matter what. I've attended/worked around 10-20 weddings at East Wind. It's a nice location. Variety of party rooms (old & new), well kept gardens, good food, excellent staff, etc. I recommend EW to potential brides. Easy to get to, close to the East End vineyards and very professional. I always look forward to the cocktail hour food- above average! read more

Can't say enough about the East Wind. I had my wedding at the Estate on 3/23/13. The food was amazing. Our guests are still talking about the cocktail hour. Service was top notch. Drinks were plentiful and well mixed. I will do a separate review for Desmond's but they were great for our rehearsal dinner, pre-cocktail hour libations and the after party. Our maître d and wedding attendant were both excellent. They really made my wife and I feel like we could ask for anything. I liked that they made sure we got to eat before everyone got there. The ballroom at the Estate was perfect size for our wedding of 160ish. I can't wait to come back and celebrate our one year reunion. A+ job! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm going to start out by saying that when my (now) husband I are booked with east wind, everything was great! It wasn't until the planning started that everything went to sh*t. When my husband and I were booking they told us that they would include a farewell station at the end of the wedding. they failed to mention that I would be losing one of my cocktail hour stations. I received an email from Laura saying that we would be down a station unless we pay extra. This was 2 weeks prior to the wedding. How do you tell a bride 2 weeks before her wedding that the menu agreed upon is no longer valid and that its going to cost me extra money?? I found that to be so tasteless and horrible customer service. So I had to shovel out almost $800 for the pasta station (that should of been included) it gets better.. 2 weeks prior to the wedding we sat with Laura and she gave us our remaining balance. We gave the check, Laura made a copy and said we were all paid up. Final Balance zero, no credits or refunds. my husband and I were so excited that our wedding was paid off and the wedding was in 2 weeks. Fast-forward 2 weeks after my wedding we received a call from our photographer stating he wasn't paid, he asked if we were a part of the all inclusive package. I told him we were and that I would have my husband call East Wind to figure out why he wasn't paid. My husband called Laura and then she realized that she charged us the wrong amount on our final payment. When my husband spoke with East Wind about this issue they were extremely rude and unprofessional in their approach with him suggesting that he should know more about THEIR contract. When he called about the contract issue, they said to him "do the right thing and give us the money were asking for". No conversation, no discussion, treating him like a misbehaving 2 year old. What kind of venue treats the customer like that?? It was my understanding that East Wind should be aware of the contract that THEY fill out. we signed the contract 2 years ago, I didn't know that I needed to bring the contract with me every time I made a payment How do you tell someone they owe you money A. after the wedding. B. over a month from when my final payment was given. What's the point of giving someone a final receipt stating that they owe you $0 and no credits or refunds will be given. So if I overpaid you I would be SOL? that doesn't seem to make sense or be fair.. Thank you East Wind for making my wedding memories a complete nightmare. I really hope that the $3,000 was worth it. East Wind is literally a nightmare to deal with. I will never refer anyone to have their wedding there. If you want your planning to go smooth with no headaches I strongly suggest giving your business and wedding day to another venue that isn't East Wind. read more

VIEWING&BOOKING I made my apt last minute unlike my other three that were months in advance and i got the best results out of my four appointments. I met with Keith and he helped us hand and foot. he started out by saying i am a sales man i am going to sell you the place! this was the best experience ever! He showed us all the locations suitable for me and explained why i couldn't have it in another location (my party was too big) the areas were so beautiful, very impressive. we went over everything i did not have to ask him a thing on my check list and went over more than that. he told us not to worry when aunt Milly picks up the plates to inspect them that she will see that they are the best quality, and he was also joking about how he loves chairs but made a very good point in that the chairs were solid one piece so they would not have screw in tops and have some missing thorough out the area, so you wont see that in any pictures. he was by far the best like i said every detail was explained. We still had one last location and when it was to our liking we called up Keith and asked if we can met with him again and see the place show my other in-laws, can i be there in an hour and he said of course and hour is perfect. the staff was always greeted us as we walked through the rooms. so impressive. the price was for a package and let me say it was the best i have seen especially for what it included for 150 people photography, DJ, flower centerpieces and cake all for under 20, the man did good. they have two very large generators so you never have to worry but also found out that during sandy they took other brides during sandy that almost got cancelled and saved them by hosting it at east wind and honoring whatever price they had even if it was a lower rate. i was filled with joy when i hear this. their menu is large and goes on and on which is all included in the package with a welcome champagne and free second plating during dinner. I have two children who have had their senior proms at East Wind in Wading River two years in a row (2012 and 2013) Both events were a grave disappointment. The students were charged top dollar and for two years in a row there was not enough food. Attendees have one hour to arrive, between 7 and 8 pm, before the doors "close" and the prom begins. Buffet food was served shortly after 7 pm while guests were still arriving and by the time everyone arrived by 8 pm, there was no food left. Guests are then required to stay until the 11:00 pm close of the event, to which more than half the guests promptly flooded the local diners to eat because they were starving. Sad that the adult class advisors would let this go on two years in a row and even more troubling that this highly rated caterer would take advantage of high school seniors trying to enjoy what is supposed to be a special night. I paid LESS than their fee of $100 per ticket to attend my high school reunion where we were treated to an open bar of top shelf liquor and a four hour buffet at a fantastic local restaurant. I should think that these kids should have at least received a proper dinner. read more
