    Braised Lamb shank
    Steven T.

The Watermill consistently delivers to the customer a superior experience in catering. Today we were at a wedding and the food/service was just amazing!!! The cocktail hour was just over the top with a bountiful of fresh sushi, stuffed pasta, prosciutto, maple bacon, mussels. Really there was too much and I had all my attention on the sushi!!! For dinner, the selections were just over the top! I ordered the braised lamb shank (see photo) which was so delicious. All the entrees from osso bucco to the filet minion and the sea bass. Mike the bartender was on his game today as were the entire staff! I forget my waiters name (he had a bracelet that said "Hope"). He was great!!! This is the place for your special event!

Came here for a wedding last weekend and it was great. The staff was overall excellent and led the event in a kind and organized way. Bartenders made excellent drinks and had great vibes. The cocktail hour food was quite tasty and had many options for people with different dietary requirements and restrictions

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews. I was here as a guest for a wedding... I did park my own car based on some of these reviews and had absolutely no problems at all, ample parking and not a far walk to the front door. The wedding was in the outside area, a little cold for March but what the bride wants the bride gets !!! The cocktail hour and dinner were in 2 separate spaces inside and everything flowed really well. The food was delicious and there was so much variety, even for the sit down meal there were maybe 8 or more choices (including seafood and vegetarian/vegan) Items at cocktail hour were mostly all labeled including things like GF. Last but not least, the most important part of my review, THE STAFF!!!! The bartenders, serving staff and all the customer facing employees i met were absolutely spectacular!!!! Shout out to Michelangelo (i think i read that right) he was so attentive and constantly made his way around the room checking on guests, clearing tables, taking drink orders...so A ++ for him! I don't know about the other side of this event space but as a guest, it was lovely!!

Came here for my nephews wedding, this isn't the first time I've come for a wedding here, and I'm always pleasantly surprised. The food is very good, the cocktail hour has great variety, dinner if so yum, the decor outside makes for amazing pictures, and very spacious. Overall always a great time

The day of the wedding was busy. We had to get ready and be on time for the shuttle van. My friend who was with me in the hotel was in the party was taking up all the time because she was waiting on her limousine. We all had one destination, "Watermill Caterers." Outside the valet was hard at work parking cars and making room for the vans. The outside of the Watermill spoke elegance. We walked through the building to the back for the ceremony. It was outside with a beautiful backdrop. The bride looked incredible and the Watermill made her seem like a star. After the ceremony we walked back inside to the cocktail hour. They had outdoor and indoor available. Now when it came to the food, they had too much! I say this as a compliment. I couldn't believe the selections. My friend tried beef wellington for the first time and feel in love. I'm glad he tried this one because it was amazing. They offered shrimp, meat and cheese the entire time. After we headed to the main hall located downstairs. It was large and seated two hundred people easily. I need to give my thanks to the staff. No glass was empty, they were quick and very polite. Again, I have to point out, they had eight or nine entrées to choose from. I never heard of so many choices! The bad part is they only let you pick one. I took the chicken parmesan, but quickly felt like I should have tried something different. Not because it was bad, it's because everything looked great. The DJ also made eating hard. The music kept making me want to get up and dance. I have to say, I definitely busted a few moves that night. I am all in regarding this catering hall. If I get married....wait, maybe I will recommend this place to someone, so I can definitely attend and try the lamb, or maybe the filet mignon.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect ! Our Maitre D Nick and Bridal Attendant Ella were AMAZING all night. Our guests said they had the best time and they were all raving about how delicious the food was. We are so happy with everything and couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much!

    Vases that where thrown away.

This review is long overdue, but still upsetting. We got married at the Watermill on June 24, 2021. In our contract with our florist the agreement stated that the vases used are to be returned within 1-2 days following the event. A $300 security deposit was charged to us with the understanding that this would be reversed once the vases were returned. In our contract it stated that each broken/missing vase would cost $45 dollars each. We had a total of 14 vases which would amount to $630. The night of our wedding we stayed at a nearby hotel and were told that we could come back the following day to collect the arch we left. We were not coming back to Watermill to collect vases as they were to be loaded up in the designated vehicle the night of our wedding. We were shocked once we got back to Queens (where we live); prepared to return the vases and realized that they were not with the other items. After calling Watermill we were informed by Nick that they were thrown away. Why anyone would throw away perfectly good vases is beyond us. We were then fed multiple lies such as the florist telling Watermill to throw them away according to Nick and also that Watermill tried to contact the owner about collecting the vases and they refused to collect according to Brian. We were left in the deficit concerning these vases. We understood our contract and agreement and we were being consulted concerning every minute detail the day of the wedding. We are really disappointed that something as major as 14 glass vases being thrown away was not something we would be asked about. After spending over $25k here, to be refused compensation of $300 for a mistake they made is dumbfounding.

Pork Osso Bucco (sorry for poor quality)
    Dan M.

This was an elegant and very spacious spot. The service was top notch as well. There was plenty of food at the cocktail hour ranging from pretzels, a bacon bar, tacos, an antipasto table, carving station, sushi, etc. My only complaint about the food was the sushi I had was extremely fishy, but besides that, great start to the reception. To start the dinner, there was a tomato and mozzarella caprese salad. It was fresh and presented nicely, no complaints here. For my entrée, I had the pork osso bucco. There was about 7 or so items to choose from, which was a pleasant surprise. The osso bucco came with celery root mashed potatoes and vegetables. The pork was very tender and plenty of it. The mashed potatoes were outstanding though, very creamy. My only complaint was the lack of sauce present on the pork shank. For dessert, besides the cake, there was a small ice cream stick with a chocolate layer and a mini cheesecake piece. All were good when mixed with one another. That was what I ended up doing for some reason, first time for everything! Will I go back? Yes.

From what I heard is that it is also newly renovated. It was a nice, open and airy catering hall. We waited on line for a short period of time before being seated for the Disney Princess Brunch we previously purchased tickets for. Part of our ticket included one brunch item of their menu. On the Brunch menu there was a panini, a salad, Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffles. I chose the panini which was grilled chicken with honey mustard. Children under 3 were free and all children were to eat from the buffet which included chicken fingers, waffles, and French fries. All the food was tasty and was of decent quality. While the fed the children quickly, which is much appreciated, our food came out at the very end of the program. I needed to leave early because the baby needed a nap asap. All in all I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and how nice the place was as well. I wouldn't mind coming back here for a special occasion.

The space itself looks nice at first glance, with an elegant setup that gives the impression of a well-run, upscale place. Unfortunately, that impression falls apart pretty quickly once you actually sit down. The menu was not very appealing and felt shockingly uninspired for a venue that hosts weddings and formal events. Nothing stood out, and the options felt lazy rather than thoughtfully curated. The food itself was subpar at best--bland, forgettable, and nowhere near the quality you'd expect from a place trusted to cater important life events. The guest WiFi system didn't work at all, which is embarrassing for an event venue that likely hosts long gatherings, meetings, and celebrations. If you're going to advertise WiFi, the bare minimum is making sure it actually functions. The cappuccino situation was the final straw. The machine wasn't turned on because a worker forgot. That's not a complicated issue--it's basic competence. For a place trying to pass itself off as polished and professional, this kind of oversight is unacceptable. Overall, despite the nice appearance, the experience just wasn't pleasant. The unappealing menu, mediocre food, broken guest WiFi, and careless service made it clear that this venue prioritizes looks over execution. If this is how they handle regular service, I'd seriously question trusting them with a wedding or special event. I personally wouldn't recommend. The other venues offer a much better experience for around the same price.

So I said you know what... let me try Texas de Brazil. I went on a Monday--figured it wouldn't be packed, no reservation needed. And it's just me... table for one. Now let me be clear--I'm not trying to spend an arm and a leg. I got cocktail dresses, wigs, and heels to fund So I went with the salad area buffet. Unlimited salad and charcuterie? I'm good with that. It's $31.99 and you get three sides included. They gave me fried banana--I thought it was plantains. Nope. A whole yellow banana, fried in sugar till it caramelized. Baby... AMAZING. You also get delicious crispy fries and creamy, silky mashed potatoes with a little skin in there. They were so good. They also give you a basket of Brazilian cheese bread. Salad is salad--your usual suspects. Romaine, spring mix, all the fixings. But I wasn't there for that. I was there for the charcuterie And they did not disappoint. A whole spread--cheeses, cured meats, olives, hearts of palm, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes. Fresh mozzarella, manchego, goat cheese, salami, prosciutto... Also pineapple carpaccio. The thinnest slices of pineapple fried in sugar for a delicious glaze. Was a good palate cleanser to combat the saltiness of the charcuterie. I could have eaten the whole platter. If you want to see the entire spread go to the website. But what got me? Smoked salmon. They had me at smoked salmon. Add some red onions and capers? I'm sitting there feeling like somebody's Bubbe Oh--and yes, they had linen napkins and actual water glasses. Real cute. Shame there were no linen tablecloths though... I love that kind of detail. Please look into it. I washed it all down with caipirinhas--had the traditional lime and the strawberry. Both did what they were supposed to do. They even serve their soda in wine glasses. Fancy AF lol Service? Amazing. From the hostesses to my server, Deliah--she was a doll. Answered all my questions like a pro. I left full and happy. Ngl the meats did look delicious. So one day I'll bite the bullet and get the full experience. I did order dessert. I got the pecan coconut pie. Didn't taste much coconut but it was good. PS: The bathroom? Clean and FABULOUS. Something about a full door stall that goes all the way up to the ceiling... yeah, that does it for me

Whether you're an ice cream enthusiast or just have a sweet tooth, Mickey's has something for everyone: traditional ice cream, cakes, hand made pies, premium pints, non-dairy options, and their famous ice cream sandwiches (yummm). There were so many flavors and treats to choose from that it took us a while to decide! I loved seeing the grab-and-go pints, such a great idea for busy families or for bringing dessert home. Before making my final choice, I sampled the cookie dough ice cream (which was rich and packed with doughy pieces), but I went with a scoop of Java Chunk in a cone with chocolate sprinkles. The flavor was spot on! A perfect blend of coffee and chocolate chips. My niece opted for her all-time favorite, cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. The look on her face was pure joy. We took our treats outside and enjoyed them in the seating area, which was spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing on a sunny day and making the most of the beautiful weather.
