We only came in to have a beer. We chose the only beer that they brew which is an amber ale called Anclote Amber. Beautiful color and mild taste, cold and crisp. The service was friendly and efficient. Small and quaint place inside and plenty of covered outdoor seating. read more

I hadn't recognized the name but I had been there before! I went because a local entertainer named Cal Morris was playing that day! The place has some indoor and outdoor tables but the courtyard adjacent has lots of other options if you want. I can say from experience that the service is usually quite good but considering the crowd of local fans and the difficulties hiring service staff in this economy, they were slower than usual but they were their usual friendly and attentive staff. Not an easy job. The music was great as usual and since you missed it you can enjoy his relaxing sound at CalMorrisMusic on Instagram or go to Calmorrismusic.com.......their food is mostly standard bar food but they have great local craft beers! Great friendly craft beer pub with some good food options - variety of grilled cheese options, good cuban sandwich, fish spread, excellent hot spicy sweet pickles, even offer a guilty pleasure of 2 White Castle burgers as a snack option! Tara is awesome. The Capt and Tenille love her. So many awesome people that work there hard to list them all. They have a very strong tap selection, and will gladly share samples with you in order for you to get what you like. This location is great, right in the center of the historic sponge docks of Tarpon springs. Live entertainment most of the time either under their nice covered patio, or the ample open entertainment area just outside the patio. This is a MUST STOP if you're in the area!! read more

Run, do not walk to this place. They have both inside and outside seating. They have a vast list of craft beers. And here's the best part, the gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches - are to die for. In all fairness we didn't stay long as this was a quick stopover to dinner. The mimosas ciders are a must try. Service is friendly and the outdoor area is comfortable located directly in the heart of the sponge docks. The only thing I would have liked to see is the story of the brewery and more brews from Anclote; they only gave one and maybe that's all they have but I don't know. The big disappointed was that one a 100 degrees plus day they couldn't make any frozen drinks. Ironically frozen drinks are rarely what I crave but on this day it was, bad timing. I would definitely come back for a drink and bite. read more

Awesome little little brewery. This really the IT place in the Sponge Dock area of Tarpon Springs. Lively with good music. Lots of outdoor seating. Friendly stuff. This was the most enjoyable place on our visit to Tarpon Springs,otherwise the town is deserted and pretty run down,lots of closed stores,some for rent,some just empty. Stopped for a cold beer.We've done a lot of walking, shopping & eating. There was a cold beer menu, drinks on tap on the television screen , specials on a board and a separate food menu. The beer was really good. The Apricot Wheat beer was great. The food options are limited. Made the mistake of ordering the Smoked Fish Spread appetizer. When it arrived the entire table looked at each other in disbelief. Prepackaged spread served with a sprinkle of Tostitos chips. Have a drink here, but eat elsewhere. read more

I am not much of a brewery kind of person since I don't drink beer but the strawberry cider caught my attention. The outside was a nice shaded spot, there was a huge fan in front of me and my fur baby Mocha Coconut, and right outside in the courtyard was an awesome musician. Everything called me in and I must say this stop was the cherry on top of a perfect day. I loved my refreshing strawberry cider. It was so relaxing there, and I totally felt a release of stress leave me. I would love to come back when I'm in the area. I would totally relive that very moment when I first stopped by. read more

We came here on a very rainy day over Memorial Day weekend. I saw an ad for this place in a brochure and noticed that they had "gourmet grilled cheese," so that of course sucked me in! We had our small dogs with us in their stroller, so we appreciated that they had covered outdoor pet friendly seating. It was fun to sit on the patio and people watch. My biggest gripe though, is that the outdoor area stunk from all the smokers. The menu has something like ten grilled cheeses on it. Some choices include Plain Jane (basic), Pizza, Turkey Apple Cheddar, Caprese, Benedictine, Sweet Hot Swine, Pimento Delight, Cuban Style and Mediterranean Veggie. The grilled cheese was tasty and had a generous amount of cheese. Our waiter was fairly attentive and good about checking back on us throughout the meal. We each ordered a beer, but they also have items like Sangria, Margaritas, wine and more. I don't know when we will be back up here again, but I'd come back! read more

Anclote Brew is a small pub at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. They have a seating area outside and a small bar inside. The items you must try here are the fire and ice pickles as well as the pretzels with beer cheese. I had never tasted fire and ice pickles before and wow were they good. You get both a sweet and spicy taste in the pickles. The pretzel was as big as the ones you get at the ballpark. And my oh my that beer cheese was divine! I truly wanted to bring some of it home with me. We also had the ceviche with nacho's which was a rainbow of flavors. It included avocado and mango and it is another must-try! They had Shock Top on draft so that was my beer of choice. The staff were super attentive and friendly! Stop by when you're looking for some amazing snacks and a few adult beverages. read more

Right up front of the Sponge exchange is Anclote brew, a cozy beer bar to cool off after a walk around Tarpon springs. My date and I met up here on Saturday at 7:30 & let me tell you the Docks are Empty. Easily found a couch to sit on the patio and enjoy the live music. After a quick trip inside to check the beer menu I settled on a nice Porter. The inside is small with only a few tables and 4 seats at the bar socially distanced. The list of beers is perfectly varied for any pallet with lots of local favorites and some surprises. The staff is friendly and masked up, and we got checked on by more than one of the staff. Outside the patio seating has expanded out to the middle of the sponge exchange and there was plenty of seats open. The one man band was good and kept the atmosphere tapping their feet with lots of good cover songs. The beer is cold, the staff friendly and they have food as well if you're so inclined. Gourmet grilled cheese is their thing and I would have gladly ordered if I didn't have a hankering for a Gyro. I had a great time and will come here again. Do yourself a favor after a long stroll around the Docks and cop a squat, order a beer, and Try Anclote brew. They even have their own beer. ( tastes like Yuengling) read more

Stopped by with the idea of refreshing with a cold beer on a very hot afternoon. Sat outside on their shady patio, but the waitress took no less than 10 minutes to take our order and another 10 to bring the drinks. Disappointed to learn that they weren't a local brewery but just a bar that apparently prides itself on its beer selection. But to be fair, the selection was indeed good, with less common beers by several well-known out of state breweries (a stout by Rogue, Milk of Murder Hornet by Hubbard's Cave) and a number from other local breweries (e.g., Arkane, 26 degree, Brew Life). But the pours were inexplicably small (8oz for a 6% abv IPA?), and service frustratingly slow. Would try another one of the half dozen nearby breweries next time. read more

We were so excited when some locals told us the food would be amazing what to order and the sides to get. Here is the problem 34 minutes later I went to get out first drink. 55 minutes later our three grilled cheese and nachos were not prepared. Yes we left and took another group with us. They apologized. Said they were swamped. Two tables on the inside and three on the patio were occupied. My guess is bar rescue does not fix this place it will be closed soon. Cute little bar with some great interesting craft beers in their lineup. They also offer growlers to go. I did not eat here, but was fortunate enough to try a few of the beers they had both on tap and in a can. They have some great prices and specials as well. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly and on top of things. My boyfriend really enjoyed the peanut butter blonde ale, which was a rare find. They also have a host of local brewery craft beers including ones from Dunedin, Tampa, etc. read more

Awful food! And I'm not even a foodie!!! Don't eat here! The cheeseburger sliders were literally frozen White Castle burgers, down to the crumbly buns that signal they've been in the freezer too long! I couldn't believe it when they were served, even the seasoned server seemed a little nervous about serving them. She kept asking us if we were satisfied, I think she knew it was absurd. The pretzel app was also microwaved tough fare. Just don't eat here. They had a regular menu but swapped it for a quite "limited" menu. Woefully understaffed on a busy Saturday too. I don't understand the nearly 5 star rating for this place but it just felt like a really sad place. This is a cute little stop just off of Dodecanese Boulevard. We stopped here to cool off and have a few drinks. They have approximately 10 local craft brews here. They also have wine! We didn't try the food though since we were on our way to another restaurant. Maybe next time on another visit. The staff is very friendly and social. They'll inform you of anything they serve there with pleasure if you have questions. Just like most of the shops and restaurants in Tarpon Springs, this place has a sense of charm that makes it just adorable here. There's nothing much more I can say about the place that wasn't already said and other reviews or shown in the photos. Very welcoming and fun bar! They have a variety of domestic and craft beers on draft, many of which are local. They also do a signature amber ale for $4 per pint. The staff were very friendly when we were here and engaged us in playing one of the pub games. Fun times were had by all. The price point is also very good ($3-7 per pint). Great location close to the action but not the hustle. Tiki bar has a great breeze Luana is the amazing bartender cold beer cool drinks. We were visiting Tarpon Springs last night for the Night in the Islands event. It was a bit chilly last night, a whopping 60 degrees, which is quite cold for Floridians (myself included). My husband happened to spot a sign in front of the plaza about craft beers, which I completely missed. So, there we were searching for craft beer, in hopes that a drink would warm us up. We would've completely missed the bar if we hadn't been looking for it. It's tucked away between other establishments in the plaza. Inside, you will find yourself in a nice, cozy bar to have a craft brew and relax, no frills needed. It's not a large establishment by any means but it doesn't have to be to serve its purpose. A long bar splits the room in half and the decor is modern-looking and tasteful with exposed brick and fish-catching mementos. There's outdoor seating and a few areas of indoor seating, in addition to the long bar area. The bartender was friendly and sociable. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I definitely foresee more visits to this bar whenever we are in the Sponge Docks area. read more

We enjoyed the grilled cheese with bacon, the ceviche was super fresh and the fish spread delicious from what my friends said. They also make their own pickles in a super secret brine. We sat outside among the shops of the sponge docks and watched a local musician "SmarkG" perform in a very unique atmosphere with a laid back vibe. Highly recommended read more
