This was our first visit to The Wine Society, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The vibe was welcoming, and they offer a great wine selection. We each ordered a wine flight...one red and one white. I especially enjoyed the white wines, while my husband preferred the reds. As we relaxed and sipped our wine, we ordered the Grande Chateau Charcuterie Board. Unfortunately, this was the only part of our experience that fell short. For $38, we expected a more complete board based on the menu description. Ours was missing items such as nuts and spreads, and it included only a few apple slices. We felt the presentation and portions could be improved to better reflect the price. That said, the wine, ambiance, and overall experience were very enjoyable, and we would definitely return for another visit. read more

So cute! Great spot in downtown tarpon. Extensive selection of unique wines. I tried a Spanish red. It was excellent bold flavors. My friend had the non-alcoholic corona. She was happy having that option. She said it tasted as good as the real thing. I was really impressed by the menu and am looking to try some of the food. I must admit I am a continued patron of this place at least 1-2 times a month. Last time i went I asked why do i still come here? The wine is good, the food is okay but the service SUCKS The waitresses see you come in and not a hello - humor me and at least smile. Last night; Walked in- sat down and waited for at least 10 minutes for the menu or an acknowledgement- the lady next to me gave me a menu! She was a customer. HIRE HER! Now another 10 minutes to have the waitress who in her defense is now on a Saturday night handling the entire place. Ordered a bottle - she poured glasses the bottle was dripping wine and placed the bottle on the side. Honestly horrible presentation for the bottle we paid $50 for. Wine Society is hands down one of our favorite places to go for a date night or girls night out! Their wine selection is vast, and they offer flights so you can try a little bit of everything! The ambiance and service is always pleasant and prompt, and if you go on Thursday or Saturday they have live music. Some of the musicians we've seen there have been the best we've ever seen. TLDR: calm vibe, great wine & beer selection. Small eclectic menu. Perfect for a date night or girls night. We enjoyed a nice moms night out at Wine society tonight. I enjoyed the beer flight and was very happy with the sample sizes & glad I was able to try multiple beers without getting a larger one I might not have enjoyed. I ended up favoring the lemon raspberry cider which is outside of my normal taste range. We share a high society charcuterie board & loved that it could be customized to the meats and cheeses we liked! We also LOVED the baked Brie with apples! I then had the side salad which was simple but I was very full from all the cheese so it felt like a perfectly balance option. There was ample parking in down town tarpon with a couple blocks walk to this cute little spot. They had live music on Saturday & he played a variety of music for all the different generations preference in our group which was just delightful. So glad to have found this hidden gem! read more

My guy and I stopped in after dinner and a quick walk around the mostly tucked in down town. We were happy we were able to procure a table and enjoyed the atmosphere. What a great experience! My husband and I were looking for a new, unique place for a date night. Wine Society was about 30 minutes from our house but the reviews on yelp looked great and it seemed like the type of atmosphere we were looking for. We saw that they offer live music on Thursdays, so that's when we decided to go. We got there pretty early in the evening and the place was packed! There was literally not a seat available at a table or the bar. I was a little disappointed since we drove 30 minutes and I was really looking forward to some red wine! But what was great was the owner created a spot for us! Two chairs and a couple of small tables is all we needed. I was so impressed and we didn't feel crammed; we had plenty of space, and the good news was we weren't elbow to elbow with people who had to share tables or sit at the bar. It was a perfect little intimate spot for my husband and I to share a red wine flight and charcuterie board. Every wine in the flight was amazing! Later that evening we split one of the flatbreads, which was awesome. It was an pricy night but worth every penny! I will definitely, definitely go again. The food was amazing the wine was awesome, as was the extensive wine list, the atmosphere was unique and charming, clearly everyone in town knows this is the spot since it was packed, and the service was top notch! The owner was amazing and I believe it was her husband behind the bar. It was a packed night but you wouldn't know it because the service, the timing of the meal, the quality was as if we were the only ones there. What a wonderful spot! My companion had never been to this Wine bar. It's very comfortable inside, the decor is warm, comfy sofas to sit in while you sip your wine or enjoy a nice tap beer. We had a dry Pinot Noir, very dry, light too. They have a good picking menu too. We had glazed meatballs with pretzel knots cut in half. So tasty! We also got a 3 cheese charcuterie perfect nibbles. We will return to see what new bottles they have to offer. More menu items to explore. The service was excellent as well. Bartender was very pleasant as well as knowledgeable about the menu.
