I got the carnitas benny and although it was yummy; there were too many conflicting flavors. There was the hollandaise sauce, bbq sauce and a berry jam. It could have been good with just removing one of them. I also got the fruity pebbles latte and couldn't even taste the flavor so it was just straight up coffee. But if there's anything you should get here, definitely pick an item with the biscuit! It was top notch! It was thick, flakey and crunchy! Truly incredible! My husband got the Mango Pineapple Mint smoothie and he said it was yummy too! It was a cute place to stop for brunch, we ended up eating outside and it was wonderful. I almost NEVER write reciews. Seriously, the WORST "coffee" I have ever had. I had a so-called "cappaccino". I think they must have forgotten to put the espresso in it, because it tasted almost like nothing, just a very mild nasty-milk flavor. I would have asked them to remake it, but the place was insanely crowded. Plus, would it really have turned out better a second time? Doubtful... I really wanted to give more stars as your one of my friends from Madison's favorite and I was told the wait would be long on Weekends so waited for a weekday. Was greeted by cashier Eliza and first impression was great, professional and helpful. Sat at table outside which was so wobbly I had to move twice. Then once my latte arrived rather quickly with in 5 min I felt like things where on a good pace. Delicious and Hot! After 20 min and almost drinking all my latte I asked about my Avo toast ? About 5 min later it was delivered. Cold but beautiful my egg was poached as I wanted it to drip it's lovely yoke on my toast. Sadly it must have sat somewhere awhile and the egg over cooked. Everything but egg was delicious. I will come back next time to Madtown but my advise to management. Servers need to get the chefs work out faster so our food is hot and as ordered. read more

This place was our second choice after seeing the line around the block at another brunch spot and I'm glad we did! They had plenty of outdoor seating during the warmer months and are just around the corner from the farmers market. Enjoyed a delicious latte and breakfast sandwich (with vegan sausage!) and was in and out before our parking meter was up with time to stroll through the market. The counter service was great and we had a nice conversation with the barista. Was also surprised they were able to keep up with running food and bussing tables. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is the best coffee place in Madison. A simple iced vanilla latte on a 75° day was perfect. It's delicious. Get it. To drink I tried the lavender latte and to eat we got the hella Stella and honey bacon biscuit sandwiches. The latte was good, but a little sweet (more sweet than floral) - next time I might just get a regular latte or coffee, but it was made well! The sandwiches were DELICIOUS!! The hella Stella might be one of my top 10 breakfast sandwiches I've had since each component was so good - soft roll, great aioli, yummy tomato, fluffy eggs, etc! Everything was good, including the mango raspberry donut I topped this indulgence with. The only thing I'd change? Add more toast, lessen the salt. The wait time was a bit too long at this popular location - like 25 mins to get a mint cold brew and a honey golden milk w one extra shot of espresso for us. So be sure to order ahead before you go. The coffee is decent. Their mint cold brew was so refreshing and not over sweet. The honey golden "latte" tasted a bit off though - there's a bit unpleasant bitter taste from the spices that could not blend well with the milk and espresso. This little café is absolutely delightful. I stopped in for brunch one morning and a pastry and coffee the next. The food is excellently seasoned and presented. I got the gyro hash special, which was absolutely delicious. There are not a ton of drink options, but I tried two of the specials - the rosemary brown sugar latte and the salted maple cream cold brew - and they were both delicious. There are some tables and booths to sit at in the café itself, and then a spillover seating area which is also indoors. You order at the counter, and the staff bring you your food and drinks once they're ready. The atmosphere is definitely cozy: you end up sitting pretty close to the other patrons. That being said, the tables are big enough to fit both a plate of food and a book/notebook/laptop. This place also seems to be a favorite of study groups: there were several around me both times I dined there. Lots of space inside but the parking might be a problem. We came on a Sunday morning, which meant free parking on the street! I thought that I wanted a white zombie, but when the barista asked what flavor, I did a backtrack. She explained that the white coffee has no taste, just caffeine. Sunday morning, free parking right outside. Great start to my morning coffee. As you approach this coffee shop, you will have some wonderful views of the Wisconsin State Capitol building. This is very convenient if you are actually visiting the capitol. There is a lot of room here to sit, work and enjoy your favorite coffee beverage with a pastry or sandwich. They have a white zombie latte as one of their speciality coffees. If you like the flavor of espresso, have a regular coffee drink. My vanilla latte was very pleasant but I should have ordered half strength on the vanilla as it was a little sweet. There are at least six comfortable chairs to relax in as well as some outdoor tables. Definitely worth a visit as you will be helping the local economy. read more
