We usually enjoy the cookies from the market, but today we tried the seasonal pumpkin spice cookie and unfortunately it was beyond ooey gooey.....it was literally uncooked in the majority of the center. There's a fine line between perfectly gooey akd dough, and while they usually nail it, today they missed the mark. For almost 5 dollars a cookie we expect it to be right. This is my 2nd time visiting this store since my partner was craving for its gooey cookie. It's a small family owned bakery and they also sell buns with boba drinks. They got a loyalty program once you download its app. My partner loves the s'more cookie and it's placed inside a bag with reheating instructions. The little thing that counts. Yummee is a family owned bakery on the West Side that is my go-to for boba in Madison. Their Yummee milk tea is simply delicious, with perfectly cooked tapioca balls and the right balance of sweetness and texture with their tea/cream. Whenever we get the boba cravings, we come here. As far as their cookies, you will not find a richer or sweeter cookie in Madison than the ones here. The ooey gooey chocolate chip is a must try. Similarly, their cheese bread is rich and hearty, and I had complaints the one time I got it. Price wise, like much of Madison, the boba ($6) and cookies ($4/each) are a little steeper than what I am used to in my home state of Texas, but not outrageous (especially for the great quality) by any means. I first learned about Yummee Treats from their booth at the Dane County Farmer's Market. We heard high remarks about their cookies and had to try them out for ourselves. There always seems to be a long line at their stand (and for good reason), but don't let that scare you away! They are speedy to take everyone's order. These cookies are no joke. They are large and can easily be split in half to share. We tried the chocolate chip cookie and the s'mores cookie. Each were still warm and goey which gets high remarks from me! The chocolate chip cookie is DENSE! Honestly, I don't think I could finish a whole one myself due to the richness of the chocolate. But I love, love the added sea salt. Yummee Treats also offers other baked goods at their farmer's market stand including spicy cheese bread in two sizes (which I appreciate because although I could eat the larger size in one sitting, I probably shouldn't). Bread may be a bit too heavy or greasy for someone but not me! The yummee milk tea and Thai milk tea are good too. I asked for no sugar in my Thai tea but it still tasted sweet & rich enough. Hubby liked his 50%-sugar traditional milk tea w cloud added too - rich and creamy. Bobas were chewy. We didn't taste too much tea flavor from the drinks. Dedicating my 450th review to this recently opened storefront of Yummee (although I've tried them whenever at the capital Farmer's Market pre-COVID). I was able to stop by the storefront a week ago and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space! There is one entrance which leads to where you order and there are stickers on the ground for social distancing. There are also clear guards at the ordering for extra precaution. Madison got a real treat with Yummee that has an impressive cookie assortment as well as traditional Asian baked goods (changes daily), and their infamous breads (spicy or the cheese filled). I ordered the Yummee bread, the ube bun, funfetti cookie, and Yummee milk tea boba. Boba had a strong milk tea flvaor and the boba was soft and chewy. I had dessert first trying the funfetti cookie and the surprise of the strawberry cheesecake inside was so good! Cookies are sweet, but arent they supposed to be? The Yummee bread was perfect! It has a hint of sweetness from the bread but the garlic butter goodness coated on the outside. Then the surprise of cheese is the cherry on top. I paired this with some tomato soup -- chef's kiss good! I essentially did a dessert meal sandwich because I ended the meal with the ube bun. Yummee's signature sweet brioche style bun but inside was ube filling, which wasn't too sweet but al the flavors you want from ube! It's refreshing to have another staple place to buy Asian baked goods and I love having more diverse storefronts in Madison! read more

A highly recommended place to grab bubble tea or a delicious cookie on the west side of town. I have been enjoying the lavender hot tea and recently got to try the honeydew iced milk tea and was very surprisedly satisfied with both. I also tried a few of the cookies, and found the cookie to just be heavenly sweet and equally delicious! There's a lobby area to order any of the treats and drinks, and then a decent seating area which doubles as the waiting room for the drinks. Masks are required upon entry as with any other local establishments, as well as hand sanitizer at every table that is adequately spaced out from each other, so that you can sit and enjoy the cookie/tea or take it to go as most of the orders are to go. My favorite bubble tea spot in Madison!! I absolutely LOVE their bubble tea - my friends and I joke that they put crack in it because it is honestly addicting. They are generous with the boba addition and I love how chewy it is! There is not too much ice in the drink and the Yummee Milk Tea had a really good tea flavor. I don't like the Thai Milk Tea as much as the Yummee, but it is still good! I love the Coffee Milk Tea (like iced coffee with boba) and the Matcha Milk Tea (basically matcha with boba). I love the Blueberry one for a fruity option! The Lavender is super good - I didn't think I would like it but I was pleasantly surprised. I have yet to try any fruit punches or blended drinks but I'm sure they are all just as good:) Their Ooey Gooey Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie is my favorite! The first time getting it, I was a little concerned at the price ($4/cookie) but honestly they are SO worth it!! They're pretty large and pretty sweet so you could easily split them with someone. It was the perfect texture in my opinion and it was filled with lots of chocolate and walnut morsels. You're getting what you pay for! I had recently read on Madison.com a very positive piece about this newer place so it was great timing when I had to stop in to pick up some gear for an upcoming Yelp event. The staff was beyond friendly and did a nice job of explaining all of their offerings. We went traditional with one of their chocolate chip cookies. Wow was it heavy (see attached photo for the exact weight). It is hard to believe but we waited until we got home to eat it - it was delicious! Easily a cookie for sharing. I only found out about Yummee from our recent Yelpies event but I'm glad I know about them now! I ended up getting an extra cookie and 3 cinna buns... for myself, *cough*. The cookies are definitely hefty, but I'm not gonna judge if you finish them off in a sitting. I got a triple chocolate mint and chocolate chip. Both of them are chock-full of choco chips scattered throughout the cookie and about as big as your fist. If you've had "The Cookie" at Seattle's Metropolitan Market, they're a similar size. They were also pretty dense, having somewhat of a cookie dough texture (which is great!). My backpack was already too full so I wasn't able to get the spicy cheese bread on this visit, but I've read that it beats another unnamed well-known spicy cheese bread in town. Motivation to come back! They also have boba so I'll be trying that out too. The cinnabuns were 2 for 1 for yesterday's extras. The frosting isn't cloyingly sweet and you can tell it's real cream cheese/buttercream. By the time I was able to eat it the next day, the roll itself wasn't as moist as I was hoping, but that might be inevitable when it's not fresh. Although I could see there was plenty of cinnamon in the rolls, the taste didn't come across as well unfortunately. From the Yelpies event, I also know there's a great story behind the bakery and that they are very dedicated to their customers, even going as far as hand-delivering packages to cities like Milwaukee and Minneapolis if mailing won't get them there in time! That's real dedication! I'll definitely be back for more goodies, and hopefully the taro bun or some other great specials will be available! read more

If you haven't tried Yummee yet you definitely should! The cookies are delicious! Every single one I tried was good. From ooey gooey chocolate chip to the pumpkin spice and everything in between. If you warm it up a little it's even better. A little on the pricy side but for the flavor and fullness of the cookie. I say it's worth it. They also have an amazing Yummee Buns! Warm it up a little. It's garlic and cream cheese goodness! It's the perfect balance of sweet & savory. The spicy cheese bread is also good but I would probably choose this yummee bun over it. Perfect snack! If you want a refreshing bubble tea the the Lychee Lemonade Green Tea or the Passion Fruit Butterfly Infusion! I added lychee jellys. Both were refreshing and tasty. For those comparing.. YES I think this place has better cookies than those certain chain cookie places offering big chewy/soft cookies. The pumpkin spice cookie I had in particular was perfectly made and soft inside even before reheating, and after reheating they were incredible. Same for the caramel pecan! But I will say the smores cookie I had in particular was a TINY bit burnt on the bottoms, like had a bit of a burnt flavor but still looked fine, and this was before reheating so not my fault for leaving it too long or something. They have good chewy and solid boba pearls here too, and the lavender milk tea wasn't too sweet and had a fairly strong lavender flavor, especially compared to other boba places that usually don't have that good of a lavender taste to them. Pretty solid boba and good for the area + price (5.95 for a cup with boba pearls included for the milk teas). Overall definitely a great place to go for boba and cookies, and the worker at the counter was nice and helped us out really quick! read more

Oh my gosh these are the best cookies ever - what a find! This is not just eating a cookie... these are like pie sized! And delicious! My first time here I came pretty close to closing, and the cookies were still ooey, gooey, and soft on the inside. I don't know how they do it, but these are the best cookies I've found. I bought six the first time I went... I intended to behave but all six cookies were gone in 24 hours and I was so full I couldn't eat for days. Also, upon your visit, the staff is always soooo nice. When I told people I visited Yummee, the first thing they asked was, "Did you try the spicy bread?" Yes, and it was probably my favorite item on the menu! They offer to warm it up so if you plan to dine in, this is a must. I took mine home and heat it up in the toaster oven. It came out crispy on the top, soft on the inside, and ooey-gooey cheese in the inside. We paired it with deli meats. Splendid! I've never had a creme brûlée boba blended drink before. It came out perfectly flavored. I was kind of disappointed that there were still chunks of ice in the bottom. My Husband ordered the Thai Tea milk boba. Flavors weren't strong and it tasted watered down. The cookies looked absolutely divine. Keyword, looked. At $4 a pop, I was expecting more. We got the blueberry one. It was crispy and almost burnt on the outside while inside was slightly undercooked. It was basically batter in the middle and unappetizing. Flavor was nice but boy, it was super sweet. I also got their cheesy garlic bread which was not cheap at $6 but worth the money. Per instruction- I warmed it up in the microwave for 55 sec. Drove here on a day trip from Illinois and these cookies were well worth the trip. We ordered a 6 cookie box and one of the yum breads. Everything was really good.
