I had Tim and his wife bake a special 50th birthday cake and it was absolutely spectacular and heavenly delicious! One of the best cakes we have ever eaten. It was a 10" 3-layered marble cake with buttercreme frosting, lots of colorful flowers as seen in the photos. The guests at the party were amazed at the quality of the cake and frosting. I came here to pick up some sweets and some Vietnamese pastries and I'm so glad I did! The pâtéso (a traditional Vietnamese savory pastry that has a meat filling) was really flaky and crispy on the outside! The filling was plentiful and to my surprise with ground pork, but was still tasty. For sweets, I picked up some chocolate chip croissants, strawberry cupcake, Boston cream pie cupcake, and a cherry and apple turnover. Both cupcakes had fillings in them - very delicious and not overly sweet! Favorite was the Boston cream pie. The turnovers were also were flaky and delicious. I've been meaning to try this bakery for months. It's on Gammon Road, but you access it on the Woodmans side of the building. One of the two sisters was behind the counter and her husband, the baker, took the time to introduce me to all the various bakery offerings. They had a larger selection of goodies than I was expecting! Cupcakes, cookies, tarts, bars, etc. My favorite purchase was a Carrot Cake and Cream Cheese Frosting sort of parfait. The cake pieces were moist and delicious, and the generous frosting layers not-too- sweet. Not to mention, the portion was enormous. The person at Two Sisters who took the call (I think he was the husband of the owner) was very kind and patient, made sure to get the correct spelling of my son's name, and delivered it himself on the morning of my son's birthday, which meant my son actually got it before he left for school, which was terrific! I went here for a Yelp event and will be back. Here's why: 1. Their banh bao are simply amazing. A tiny quail egg is wrapped in a pork/onion meatball, then enveloped in sweet bun down and steamed to perfection. The packet is about the size of your hand and it is DELICIOUS. 2. This is truly a man/wife and sister operation--all of the baked goods are made by hand by some truly lovely people. Each cake and confection is truly one of a kind, and you can feel (and I daresay taste!) the love in each bite. No, I'm not drunk. I'm serious. If you need a birthday cake, get it here--it's affordable and right next to Woodman's--you can't lose! 3. Just because they have "bakery" in the name doesn't mean they don't have some main course treasures hidden away in the menu (see #1). Be sure to ask what they recommend for the day--you won't regret it. 4. As I said, they're right next to Woodman's, so it's pretty easy to stop over and grab half a dozen banh bao on your way home from work. Just sayin'. 5. You won't find nicer people manning the counter. The service is top-notch! PRO TIP: Park under the light and cross the parking lot aisle to avoid the 5-o'clock busy-ness. Came here for the first time, unfortunately the chicken puff and cupcake I chose were not impressive at all. Chicken puff was kind of pricey, $3.99 .The crust was soft. Not much of a cafe, only in the sense that they had coffee there. That said, the bakery selection was pretty decent and each piece had a great presentation, so much so that I couldn't decide what I wanted. The guy working there suggested the bread pudding, which was pretty good. It carried a mild sweetness and the flavors were well separated, the serving size was also very large for the price.
