First time going to acupuncture and subsequently to this place. Hesitant for any and all types of medicine so I came in a bit nervous. Her website was easy to navigate and I received a reminder email and a text with the codes to the building and bathrooms. The process was very warm and inviting which instantly calmed my nerves. We started with a quick chat on my needs, experience, expectations and goals for a successful acupuncture experience. Before disrobing, I had a quick check in about consent as this involves touching and being comfortable with potentially less clothing on if you choose to. We started with a heating pad and electric shock pads placed on my back then I was invited to lay on my back and needles were placed starting on my forehead and third eye all the way down my body. I was asked between music or meditation and choose meditation. It was so relaxing that I dozed off a few times during the 20ish minutes! Afterwards I flipped on my back where I got cupping. A light lotion was applied along with the cupping. That process was another 20 minutes long. After that. Was briefly chatted and she answered all my questions. Highlights of the experience included the constant and check ins. It was a two way dialogue about it and she was receptive to when I asked for more or less. Another highlight was the atmosphere. She truly made it a trustworthy experience that was physically reinvigorating as it was emotionally and spiritually. Will be going back! read more

Cara is amazing, when I moved to San Diego I wanted to continue getting acupuncture for my chronic foot pain and I was also trying to convince. I found her from my old insurance website and so glad I did. She uses a variety of techniques in addition to acupuncture. I had a miscarriage around the time I started going to her and she help with that pain and well as point to increase egg implantation which must of worked too well since my husband and I now have twins. Used moxa stick to help with my swelling in addition to needle points issues during my pregnancy. I ended up with a lot of clogged ducts post giving birth and possible mastitis and she helped with those points as well. She also works on my foot pain, cold laser therapy in addition to needle points. I always leave feeling relaxed and reset. With the babies I do not get in as often as I should but when I do I'm so glad I made an appointment. read more

I had a session with Cara today and I am BLISSED OUT! Cara from Andara Acupuncture was one of the vendors that participated in the beauty and wellness passport from pink sugar that I bought. A couple weeks after buying the passport I texted her to make an appointment and she was quick to respond and very professional from the get go. On the day of my appointment I arrived and I instantly feel Cara was an elevated soul. I've been having problems with my wrists and feet and Cara was a VERY good listener. I started going to Cara Dinote at Andara Acupuncture about a year ago to try yet another treatment for migraines, fatigue, muscle tension, etc. I had learned to live with my pains for so long that I had NO CLUE how much better life could be.
