I initially reached out to Alisa with my first pregnancy when it was looking likely that I would need to be induced. This was my first experience doing acupuncture and trying Eastern medicine but she made me feel so comfortable and cared for. We were able to focus on trying to naturally induce labor, and I was able to see her twice before my baby came. She was incredibly thoughtful and followed up after my delivery to check-in and see how I was doing. Fast forward to my second baby, I scheduled more regular visits for some other minor complications. Over the course of my visits, she also checked in on other symptoms and helped me feel better with things like congestion and other minor aches. With both babies, I had quick and healthy deliveries! I cannot recommend Alisa enough! I was recommended to Alisa through a breastfeeding support group after seeking help in getting my little one to nurse without a nipple guard. I was a little nervous to work with a lactation consultant again after having a bad experience with a different consultant, however I am so thankful Alisa joined our village. She took her time understanding our needs, met us without judgement and honestly was a part time therapist. Perhaps my favorite part of working with Alisa is she changed the way I was thinking about using a nipple guard. It wasn't so much focus of getting us of it, but more focused on our baby's long term needs and being able to nurse without the nipple guard was just a positive result of other exercises and bodywork. After the first session, the tension was greatly reduced and I could feel sensation across my whole scar area again (previously could only feel 1 side). I'm so grateful for PUSH and the magic that Deb is!! I went to PUSH specifically to support me with fertility. As a type one diabetic and a 36 year old woman, I wanted to make sure I did everything I could to ensure a healthy pregnancy. I think I got treatments at PUSH for 2 (maybe 3?) months before finally getting pregnant and I continued to go all throughout my pregnancy!! I loved meeting Deb and I always felt so taken care of in her space!!! The week before I was scheduled to be induced (because my baby Jax was measuring to be a BIG baby) I had Deb do a house visit to support me in getting things moving as naturally as possible. While I did experience some contractions, Jax was committed to staying in as long as possible!! Fast forward to being in the hospital - my induced labor caused unbearable back labor pains so Deb came in to support! She helped my stress and discomfort levels so I could continue on with my labor. After 33 hours of labor, he arrived healthily at almost 10lbs. Fast forward to last week (Jax is now 15 weeks old), and I started feeling the pains of mastitis. I am so grateful we found PUSH San Diego. Baby girl was one week late and Deb helped us tremendously. The accupressure was so effective and relaxing. I could feel contractions and baby moving on the spot. She even prepared my husband to coach me and massage me during labor and delivery which worked miracles on D day. The accupuncture was gentle and effective. At the end of the session, I felt so relaxed, happy, and mentally closer to hold our baby girl. I have been going to Alisa for 4 months now and she is by far the best acupuncturist I have ever had (I've had three!) she is so gentle when she inserts the needles but not only that, she is also uses herbs, moxibustion, ear seeds, cupping, massage, essential oils, breathing technique, steaming and so much more to help you heal! I came to her when I found out my baby had no heartbeat and she helped get the natural miscarriage started, just one session and it got it started! She helped and made sure that everything was successfully expelled from the uterus through acupuncture, moxibustion, herbs, and vaginal steaming. Since then she has been helping me recover and take care of my other health concerns. She is incredibly thorough, spends a lot of time each session asking about my overall health and customizes each session based on how I'm feeling that day. I went to PUSH and received acupuncture by Grace. It was an amazing experience, I did labor prep one week before, then on the 2nd of February. That night around 10pm my water broke and my son was born February 3rd at 4:46pm. Even with an epidural it was a fast labor; I advanced through all stages quickly. I am now doing the womb healing and it is an amazing experience. I am experiencing some postpartum complications, but Grace is so helpful and I feel physically and emotionally soothed after each appointment. It truly lifts my spirits and encourages me. There is nothing adverse that I can even think of, and I have worked in health care for over 60 years - I am pretty picky! Any care you need that they provide will be A-1. Grace is a god-send! I have arthritis is both knees and she has alleviated the pain and made it more bearable to walk and exercise. I've had a pinched nerve in my neck for decades and have tried everything from physical therapy to a chiropractor. Every time the pain had subsided but always came back within a few months. My first experience with Push was a hypnobirthing class during my first pregnancy. My husband and I learned so much about the birth process and how to work together to make the experience as beautiful as possible. Most recently, I went to Deb for acupuncture to help my second baby come on time. I am dealing with high blood pressure and gestational diabetes this pregnancy so the sooner baby comes after 38 weeks the better. I not a huge fan of needles!!! The idea of having them in my body does not sound relaxing to me at all. But my treatment yesterday was soooooo relaxing! The office is soothing from the moment you step in to the waiting room. As a mom of a toddler and a baby on the way, I don't find time to take care of myself as much as I would like. I walked in feeling stressed and worn down. I attended Deb Davies' Childbirth Class, and it was fantastic. It was so full of relevant information, which Deb explained in such a way that people of all different levels of knowledge would understand. Deb's passion for caring for pregnant mothers and their babies comes through as soon as the class begins. I loved that she not only gave us concrete information that could be applied immediately in a practice, but we also got to work with pregnant mothers who came in for a treatment and apply them that very day! We worked in groups to account for the different levels of the participants in the class. As I am in acupuncture school now, I assisted a licensed acupuncturist, and was happy to practice the acupressure points that Deb taught us, as well as give a bit of massage, which the pregnant mama was all too happy to receive. Another great aspect of the class was the other participants - there were licensed acupuncturists, those of us in acupuncture school, massage therapists, doulas and midwives, and every person had a different perspective to receive and contribute to the information in the class. It was a great collaboration and a testament to Deb that several different areas of the healing/birth world were represented in the class. I highly recommend this class and will even consider reviewing it again in the future when I am licensed, as it is an incredibly interesting and fun way to gain CEU credits. read more

Had my first ever acupuncture treatment by Deb Davies for natural progression of labor. I was attempting a VBAC and going into spontaneous labor was pretty crucial. Went in to see Deb and within 48 hours, I went into spontaneous labor and had a very quick, beautiful VBAC!! So grateful for her help and knowledge! PUSH was my first experience with acupuncture and I absolutely loved it during my pregnancy. I had placenta previa and a breeched baby. I was referred to PUSH to try and fix these issues and within weeks of treatment with Deb my placenta moved to where it needed to be and the baby moved into the correct position. If you need a massage, Crystal was also an amazing part of my experience at PUSH. Their techniques and knowledge allowed me to have a natural birth and put my mind at ease as they both assisted in the natural progression of birth when necessary.
