Basic customer service. AAC is a subcontractor of another contractor we use. Real simple stuff. Put in work order they come out and "fix" the problem. Or they're supposed to. This is a pretty successful business right they should have all their own tools and equipment to complete a job, you'd think. They don't, they relied on our equipment and when we had to get rid of it for safety reasons walked around the store saying we're gonna have to buy a new $20k unit for them to use twice a year. Likely story. It was some cranky old white guy what do you expect? These guys in sales and service are straight misogynistic. Thought they could talk to the GM like that because she's a woman. And continued to tell every employee that he could find that "we're gonna be buying a $20k unit". Deplorable. We'll see how things shake down from corporate in the coming weeks. But personally and professionally I would not recommend Anderson Air Corps. read more

After posting this review, I was contacted by the company and provided an explanation. While the behavior and demeanor of the technician is accurate, I applaud the company for their efforts in resolving customer service issues. ------------------------------- We had a service contract with this company. Calling their office, the phone is always answered by Brianna, whom is consistently clueless about finding accounts, passing on any messages, or scheduling service. She also seems unwilling to help in any way. It's very frustrating trying to get anything scheduled. We paid a lot of money for a service contract but got no service. We finally got someone to come out and look at our bedroom unit which is less than two years old and was installed by Anderson Air Corps. A fact which they repeatedly forget. The unit needed replacement of an electronic part that they admitted was installed incorrectly. Again, they installed it but keep forgetting this. The technician said he would order the part and it would take four days. 7 days later I called to check and no one knew what I was talking about. Finally got to someone that could help and the technician emailed that he had not ordered part because he did not known if we wanted it. WTF! We have no heat so yes, we want it fixed. The whole reason for calling. Part was ordered and repaired. 3 weeks later. He also agreed to replace two thermostats with ecobee smart thermostats. He replaced one, incorrectly so only the cooling works and not the heat. It's November. He said he replaced the other one but his a cheap thermostat and left the ecobee sitting on the floor. Atill cannot get them out to replace this. The worst thing about this company is how absolutely rude and disrespectful they are when they come to your house. They treated my mom very badly and talked to her very disrespectfully. We had other workers doing things at the house and they also were very mean in the way they talked to them. My sincere advice is to never use this company. They will take your money and not provide service. They will be rude and disrespectful. read more

I made an appointment to get an estimate for a new HVAC system. It took approximately 2 weeks to come out but I understand as this is the summer, and it's a busy time of year. On 6/24/22, Dino came out and checked out my current system and asked a few questions and left. He told me he would give me an estimate and I should have it by Monday. Well, it's now 7/23/22 and to date I have not heard back from this company. Apparently, they didn't want my business because there was never a follow-up call or estimate received. read more

Completed HVAC issue was performed great, however I had incomplete information from representative on phone, they stated that parts are normally received from the supplier, and then opened and tested in house, which struck me as an inefficient way to do business or it was a misstatement. read more

I recently had the central heat and air unit replaced by Anderson Air. I got 5 bids, and they were not only the lowest, but the most professional, giving me three choices, listing four rebates that I could get, and spelling out everything else in detail. By contrast, one of the city's major plumbing companies spent five minutes looking at the unit and the estimator said "It'll be about $8,500" - nothing written, no mention of available rebates... I was impressed by the installation, which only took a morning, even though the unit is on the roof at the back of the house, and it took a long-arm crane to remove the old unit and lower the next in place. The next week, when they came for final check, their person changed the way the thermostat was mounted to make it more attractive - no charge. Today I was to have my first scheduled maintenance. It had been scheduled for more than two months. Since I'd received no reminder from Anderson, I called the main office when it was about 8;45 (maintenance was scheduled for 8:30 - 10:30) and was assured the man was on his way. I put my phone on the charger and went outside to work in the yard while I waited. 45 minutes later, the man still had not arrived. I went in and found a message on my phone from the maintenance guy asking me to call him to verify that I was home. I called, and he said since I didn't call right back, he'd gone on to his next job and I'd have to call the main office and reschedule. My only negative comment on Anderson is that they should have better communication between the office and the worker - the main office knew I was home, but I had to reschedule because the worker was trying to check on his own. read more

The estimate was spot on and Dino made several trips to our home to ensure the installers knew what needed to be done and followed up on completion. He kept in touch throughout the job to ensure that we were happy. I have NEVER had a contractor provide this level of service. read more

I additionally requested a scoping of my hot air vents located in the slab as well as my furnace cleaning and check. I had one of our A/C units go wonky. It was 100 degrees out and we were sweating. I called Anderson for help. They got here within 4 hours, diagnosed the issue and fix it for a very reasonable fee. Benjamin, the technician who came to our rescue was great. He was professional, and fast. He diagnosed the problem in a few minutes and had the refrigeration unit back up and working in 1/2 hour. We continued a service agreement with Anderson Air Corps from a previous owner at our business. We hadn't had major issues until recently. The technician they sent at our last service request was not friendly, helpful, or knowledgeable. We have a staff member who has contracting experience that said he didn't seem to know how to use a drill. At some point as he was working I went outside and witnessed him fooling around talking to a dog that was in a kennel at our business. After he declared the compressor irreparable he quoted 3000-5000$ to either repair or fix it to my business partner. Upon coming inside and discussing it again he quoted 2000$ instead - possibly because there were contractors around? It almost seemed like he was trying to fleece my business partner based on her appearance - a young woman. The service call was over 300$ for basically NOTHING. I called to discuss these transgressions and was informed that a service manager would call us back. I never heard back. The next week we got a written estimate for the repair of the compressor but no phone call. We ultimately went with another HVAC company to replace the entire unit. We were told there were filters that were not in place in the old unit and a dead pidgeon in there too! Also for our routine service maintenance they would usually replace our duct filters, well turns out to cut costs they were just cutting full size filters in half and using them in our duct system. I ended up calling to cancel the rest of the service contract for the year. Their receptionist put me on hold for a minute and when she got back on the line she said, "OK, your refund check for the rest of the year will be in the mail." No effort at client retention for a customer they'd had for over 3 years and longer with previous owner. Disappointing. read more

We had excellent and friendly service on our Ultra Cool air conditioner from Archie Garcia. He was on time, pleasant and efficient in thoroughly cleaning and checking out our A.C. unit and the water lines to it, making sure it was operating well,, and even took down the covers from the turbines on the roof for us. A tad pricey ($400 for a FULL AC tune-up) but the guy who came out did a really first rate job. He silenced a noisy blower fan, showed how the homebuilder had MISTAKENLY installed filters in BOTH the unit and in the wall, AND we were using the wrong filters, helped us with programming the unit for weekday setbacks, then went on the roof and checked that unit, checking gas pressures & cleaning the condensor. OMG our AC works SO much better now and the "replace filter" light isn't constantly on. Without an unnecessary filter it blows 2x as much air and we set it 2 degrees higher. I'm sure we're saving on energy as well. Thank you AAC for a job well done. Feel free to use us as a reference! read more

This is long, but we had an awful experience with them, so I hope you read it before using Anderson: Hired them this year for regular yearly check/maintenance on our air conditioner, and when the person came out, I followed him around and observed him during the job - we have had so many bad experiences with servicepeople that we always shadow someone we haven't worked with before and make sure they are doing everything needed, see if we can trust them, etc. When the Anderson person went up to our roof to clean the air conditioner, I noticed he only washed the outside without opening it, whereas other servicepeople had always opened it up and washed both outside and inside. I wasn't sure if that mattered, but it was a difference, so I asked him for an explanation. He asked me if I wanted the inside washed too, and I said not necessarily, I just want to hear a good reason for each thing you do if it's different from what I have seen before. At this point he began getting defensive and asked if I was questioning him (yes, I was - I have that right as a customer, especially a new one), told me he was the most-requested serviceman at Anderson with 29 years of experience (great, but I'm not going to take your word for it - prove it to me by backing up what you are doing with an explanation), told me I had soured the job and when that happens sometimes it doesn't go as well (what, is that a threat?), and finally quit mid-job and left angrily. When we called Anderson and reported the incident, we told them we would be willing to give the company another chance if they sent someone else ASAP. However they sided with the serviceperson and told us to take our business elsewhere (get lost). Apparently customers of this company are not allowed to ask inconvenient questions like "why." We still cannot figure out why such a simple question/request escalated into this fiasco. One suspicion we have is: we follow a teaching of religious unification, and therefore have many different religious symbols exhibited in our house including Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Baha'i, etc. Perhaps prejudice against one of these religions played a part? We cannot say for sure, but it crossed our minds. Overall, cannot recommend this company at all - suggest you find a place more able to handle reasonable questions from customers. read more

I had a new evaporative cooler installed late last summer and used it infrequently as I had begun living in a different home at about the same time. I opened the cooler the second week of June because my son was coming to visit and would be staying at that house. The cooler was running fine when I turned it on and set it up, but stopped working after one week of use. I called Anderson because it was well within the 1 year warranty and was initially pleased that they were able to send a technician out the same day; however, that changed quickly. The technician told me that because I had turned the unit on myself, the warranty was void and I was responsible for a diagnostic fee and that the problem was not covered under warranty. The technician "diagnosed" the problem to be the rotary switch and stated he could not test the motor (the true problem) until he installed a new switch, which would be $140 plus tax. After speaking with the original salesperson, Dino; the Service Manager, Michael H; and finally the COO, Kyle, I felt it necessary to write a review about the business being dishonest, aggressive and failing to accept any responsibility to fix a problem caused by poor installation. The COO, in particular, was unprofessional and threatening. Rather than pay these dishonest, misogynistic men any additional money, I bought the $10 switch and installed it myself. When the technician, David, arrived the second time to address the problem he was not wearing a mask and was very aggressive. Thankfully, I had arranged to have a male friend with me who supervised David's work and was able to ensure the job was completed. After the new motor was installed, David shouted from the roof that he was done and offered no explanation about what had been done. While the evaporative cooler has been repaired (though I had to installe hose clamps to ensure the problem would not happen again) and I have a new motor with a 1-year warranty, I want to make sure other women are aware of this company's dishonest, disrespectful, aggressive and misogynistic attitudes and practices. read more
