This suggests to me that they are too busy to take a new patient except under serious conditions. However, Christus regularly takes out a half page advertisement in the local newspaper for their Urology Associates actively seeking new patients. This suggests that they are not to busy to see new patients. My health insurance plan does not require a referral to see a specialist. I go directly to a specialist whenever I need one all the time. I'm almost 70 years old. Generally, I know when I need a specialist. Very rude, uncaring and unprofessional treatment!!!!!

Also, I am in a moderate amount of pain, my body is producing this, not Dr. Snoy. I do not have faith in Dr. Snoy; his competence, compassion and knowledge are what I am reviewing. I had a procedure that was elective, Dr. Snoy did not apply enough local anesthetic and i felt the first steps of his procedure. His level of basic human compassion is 1-2 out of 10. His low energy demeanor, lack of interest in answering relevant medical questions (related to procedure) and providing adequate info on what to expect overall (overall healing timeline, physical sensation/pain, the fact that i have stitches but didn't know for the first few days) what you are currently feeling (physically). He showed no concern for any of these items and did not answer any direct questions competently and instead made remarks in generality. His level of compassion towards me was non-existent; his level of coherence was so poor that if you asked me under oath if i thought he was high during my interactions with him, I would have to honestly reply, I don't know. The fact that his initial info was wrong, i was told there would be relatively little pain. I've been struggling with pain all week and its taxing to be in a situation where you cannot concentrate because of pain. His general inability to answer a specific questions like what can i expect over the next few days or is swelling normal? His staff are decent people and I have no complaints with them. I'm moving all further inquiries and treatment to my general care practitioner, I do have doubts about Dr. Snoy's ability to have performed my procedure correctly, he broke my trust several times and this procedure was personal to me. I booked my appointment with what i thought was a professional, and left my 7-day follow up with only one thing on my mind, get a 2nd opinion. Found this place through coworkers and insurance to get my vasectomy done. I was given Covid and small business as the reason and that I would be reimbursed within 30 days for the Vasectomy and would have to submit a claim for the $164 take home test. 90+ days later, I was reimbursed for the Vasectomy. I sent the itemized receipt to BC/BS for the take home test and was reimbursed $10 for the take home post op test because of contract with the in service provider (MD for Men). Just like every other time BC/BS or I attempt to call, no one is answering. I will be stopping by in the next few days to get this squared away. Very disappointed. When I first conferred with Dr. Snoy he stated that he didn't relish taking other doctors' patients away from them. This outwardly ethical approach gave me a favorable impression. After careful and quiet examination of my previous test results he stated that the blocked kidney had a decent chance of being brought back to at least a 15% level of function. He proposed doing a dismembered pyleoplasty to clear a UPJ obstruction in addition to unblocking that kidney's ureter. For the previous 12 months I had been experiencing what seemed like severe kidney stone attacks, 24 hours of excruciating pain and vomiting. The duration between episodes was becoming shorter. The first doctor relayed his dismal prognosis via a phone call from an impatient nurse and was not to be available for further explanation for at least two weeks. Dr. Snoy impressed me as being an objective, thoughtful and meticulous practitioner. He answered questions only after careful study of test results. He is not one for banter or overt emotional gestures. He attempts to analyze the facts rather than conjecture or lecture and is composed yet not scripted. He becomes more personable in time, a trait of truly genuine individuals. He carefully prepared me for my several hour long operation and several day post operative hospital stay. He impressed upon me the need to become active and exercise my lungpower so as to affect a quick recovery. Dr. Snoy visited me every day of my hospital stay. My full recovery took eight weeks. After my final and most definitive kidney test Dr. Snow explained results that revealed my repaired kidney was now handling 58% of my total kidney functioning and my other, completely healthy kidney was taking on 41% of the flow. The operation was a success beyond my highest hopes. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Snoy and his staff. Doctors are often accused of thinking themselves to be gods. Dr. Snoy is too scientific and objective for that. I must say however that he impresses me as being a consummate master of his medical specialty. My husband who has worked in a scientific research environment with both Ivy league types and State University types says that Dr. Snoy has the earmarks of being an objective, inquiring and competent practitioner. Andrew Grollman is THE WORST Urologist I've ever met. He's extremely arrogant, rude, belittling,…read moredisrespectful, insensitive, pushy, and doesn't deserve to be a doctor at all. He's a HUGE WASTE of money, time, effort, and energy.... I've been experiencing severe pain in my right side for 2 weeks. I went to the Emergency Room and when they took a CAT scan, the Radiologist found scattered lesions in my right kidney. The hospital gave me pain medicine until I could get an appt with a urologist. My mother's mother passed away from kidney cancer and it started when she was around my age now, so there's a history here. Thankfully an appt became available within three days of going to the ER, so I was looking forward to seeing Andrew Grollman (I refuse to call him doctor). I hadn't taken any pain medicine that day so he can push down on the area where I'm having pain, gauge it on a scale of 1-10, then talk with me about treatment from there... Nope! He came into the room with the nurse, who actually held the door open and didn't close it for privacy. Then Andrew Grollman DID NOT ask me to show him the location of the pain, how much it hurt, how long have I've been experiencing it... Instead, HE sat down on the patient bed while I sat in a chair. He quickly told me that he looked at my records and said, "It's nothing," and, "I shouldn't be feeling any pain."... I was a half hour early for my appt and he was acting like I was an hour late. He also acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I showed him where the pain was and described my symptoms. He LITERALLY didn't care and kept trying to convince me that "it's nothing." Well, if it was "nothing," then I wouldn't have spent 8 hours in the Emergency Room, I wouldn't be in pain going on for 3 weeks now, and I really don't consider "multiple lesions in my kidney" to be nothing. When I tried to talk about my condition, he kept cutting me off and repeating himself. He talked over me, he talked down to me, he wasn't respectful, he had absolutely no bedside manner, and REALLY didn't care that I was in pain that is now at a level 14. So now I have to put more time, money, effort, and energy into finding and going to another urologist. Even worse, I have to be in pain that is getting progressively worse by the day for longer than I need to be and should be. I'm writing this review to warn everyone else to not make the mistake I did of relying on Andrew Grollman to care about you and help your condition. Save yourself the trouble and find another urologist.

Andy (I won't call him Doctor...more on that below) may be a technically proficient surgeon but he is a terrible human being, lacking in empathy and human compassion, and cowardly to boot. He doesn't care anything for his patients on a human level, and he won't lift one finger to help you once surgery is finished. PLEASE read the reviews online before deciding to have him perform any procedure on you or your loved one. My story: I was referred to Lovelace urology for an issue and was assigned to Andy. Everything seemed to go well, up through having the needed surgery. But that's where it ended. Once I was out of the hospital, it was like Andy and his crew had abandoned me on the curb. There was considerable post-op pain, for which I was prescribed Percocet, enough for four days. When I tried to stop the pain med, the pain went up to a 10. I have never in my life experienced pain like that. The Percocet (which I have never taken except post-surgery) did relieve the pain. But on the fourth day it ran out. I was panicked, as was my wife who witnessed my begging and literally crying for some way to relieve the pain. She started calling Lovelace that next morning at 8 am, trying to get a message to Andy that I needed a little more pain med. We didn't hear back. My wife started calling hourly. It took four and a half hours to get a call back from someone on Andy's team, which may not seem like much, but believe me that when you are in such pain, it can seem like days. Andy's team member was condescending, criticizing me for taking all the Percocet already, even though I took it in the time it was prescribed for. She assured me that Andy would not prescribe any more. Neither would he talk to me. She suggested that I take Advil or go to the ER. I protested. She said she would have a triage nurse call me. No one ever called. Andy didn't care about my pain. He didn't care about my recovery. Otherwise, it would be standard to have someone from urology call a few days after surgery to check up on the patient. Instead: crickets. He insulates himself behind a wall of assistants and techs who are instructed never to let a lowly patient talk to him. And that culture of not caring permeates the team, trickling down from him. A wise man once told me, "If the person at the top is a dummy, eventually everyone in the organization will be a dummy". And seems to be true at Lovelace urology. Among other things, Andy is a "dummy"! Fast forward to the two-week post-op visit. My wife and I did meet with Andy. He went through his script of how the surgery went and what would happen from here. I then told him I wanted to talk to him frankly about my experience in recovering during the last two weeks. As I asked him why he won't return calls, why even his team won't return calls, why he would let me suffer in such pain (which I described in detail), he tried to talk over me, giving excuses or talking about "policy". When that didn't work and I continued to ask reasonable questions, his demeanor changed and he literally ran...RAN... out of the room, telling me I had to talk to his manager. The image I had was of a scared little boy running home yelling "I want my Mommy!" What a COWARD! He not only won't talk to a patient as an adult and a human being, recognizing the person (as opposed to the body to be operated on) he is dealing with, he is terrified of adult communication! That's why I refuse to honor him with the title of Doctor. A real doctor needs to treat the whole patient, understand their needs, and be ready to address those needs. As the head of the team, he needs to train, and require, members of the team to live up to those standards. Andy does none of that. He seems interested only in doing surgery so he can make money. Andy Grollman is what would happen if a robot wanted to be a doctor and then turned into a real boy! Why does Lovelace still employ him? 2

Went to exam appointment with Dr. Jennings. Doctor was rude, in a hurry, not interested in discussing symptoms or treatments. Told me abruptly to "drop your drawers" for exam. He examined my groin and testicles WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS, BEFORE OR AFTER THE EXAM. HE DID NOT WEAR GLOVES DURING THE EXAM. He told me to try Physical Therapy, that the simple surgical procedure to correct the painful problem doesn't have good results, especially with OLDER males. He said the PT "might" help, "might not" help. Said to use heat pad for pain. Told me that was it. Got up, turned his back to me and rudely left the room with no further comments. Have done research and spoken to other specialists and no where is it mentioned that age negatively affects the outcome of the simple, orthoscopic procedure to affix the testicles and prevent the painful retraction. To the contrary, this procedure to repair the painful, retractile testicles is reported in research studies by National Institute of Health and Mayo Clinic to be almost 100% affective. This doctor is SMUG, rude, unsanitary, insensitive and totally lacks any empathy or desire to speak with the patient beyond minimal communication. Depressing encounter. Will seek treatment elsewhere with a doctor that knows how to wash his hands before he handles your body parts, and has at least common courtesy when speaking to patients.
