I got my original mortgage through Anderson Financial, it was a contact of my realtor at Dream Town. 1.5 years later I am looking to refinance with rates dropping and contacted Blair Kerr, the original person I did business with there. Several times he did not reply to any emails or voice mails I left him over a period of several months. Then I called his boss and owner Michael Anderson. He said he would have Blair Kerr get in touch with me. Blair Kerr told me I was locked in and ready to go and he had just failed to communicate that with me. That I was to just sit tight and wait because he felt the numbers would even drop more. So a month goes by, and I emailed him asking for updates, nothing. Called got his voicemail and didn't bother leaving him a message since he doesnt respond and called the owner Michael Anderson again. He said that he had thought Blair Kerr told me about the problem with my condo being a problem due to a higher percentage of renters to owners. NO!! "Oh he didn't explain that to you?" NO!! So I have no idea what they are talking about, was sitting waiting for my better rate to lower my monthly mortgage and blown off just about all the time. Michael Anderson had someone in his office (he said) and couldnt get into it and should be calling me later or have Blair Kerr call me (yeah right!! only if his boss is standing over him maybe!!!) Do not use Blair Kerr for your financial needs. and Anderson Financial for keeping on such a person and letting it go on and on like it has. My boyfriend was already mad at me a month ago for after the super crappy service I got for hanging in there with them....now I just feel really stupid. He told me I was locked in and ready to go. So I thought I would hang in there and stick it out, that it would be more trouble to go find someone else. After getting completely screwed at the last minute from the fine folks over at Chase Bank we turned to Tony Ranft to do the impossible. Our entire house was packed, our old furniture was sold and then Chase dropped the ball Monday afternoon with our closing scheduled for Thursday morning. We basically had a week to close before Thanksgiving, our lease running out in two weeks and our options were limited. We were told that Tony could fix this problem. Tony took the time to walk me through how our loan would get approved and why we were in the situation we were with Chase. After that conversation Tony began to move quickly to get everything in line for a rescheduled closing the following Friday. This process was organized, informative and effective. Tony was proactive in gathering any additional information that the underwriter could conceivably request. Everything went according to plan and we closed that next Friday without any issue. 1. To recap, Chase screwed me. 2. Tony Ranft was able to solve my problem with in 10 days. My wife and I can not recommend Tony enough. There truly are not enough great things to say about Tony Ranft and Anderson Financial Group. My husband and I had hunted around for our perfect first home here in the city...After over a year, we finally found the place we wanted. We began working with a friend of mine from college who assured me this would be no problem. Fast forward a few months and we finally get it approved. (Short sale situation) Long story short, our buddy fumbled the ball BIG TIME. We were supposed to close last week, and the friday before our closing date we were informed that they hadn't been able to get it done. ( Some advance notice might have been nice, right?!?!?) Where do I begin. At the beginning I suppose. My husband got pre-approved by another financial institution for a home. So we got together with our real estate agent and started the search. After two days, we found the one and my agent suggested Anderson financial and more specifically Tony Ranft. We thought, why not? We had someone willing to give us money, but we should see if we can get a better rate with someone other than the first company we looked at. Tony Ranft was the one of the best decisions we made. He, not only, got us a better rate but also mentioned that we might be eligible for a grant that would offer down payment assistance because of where we wanted to live. Even though this grant was new and even though he'd never done one, even though it took special underwriting and was time consuming and lengthy, Tony went out of his way to make sure we got it. Throughout the process he was upfront, candid, sincere and kept in constant contact with us. As neurotic first-time homeowners, we had a million and one persnickety questions and he was always willing to answer them and make sure we understood. Whether through email or phone calls he was always available. But beyond that, Tony was honest and a man of his word, which is sometimes lost in the world of lending and business. That's truly what sets him apart from the people who want to sell you a loan and forget you the next day.
