I went to Anderson Nissan to check out a 2017 Nissan Titan, known for cylinder 7 scoring issues. They agreed to inspect it and include the cost in the purchase price. After the inspection confirmed the problem, they lied to me, claiming the cylinder was fine. I reviewed the video myself and saw clear carbon buildup and vertical scoring lines, pointing to serious issues ahead. They refused to fix it, charged me $250 for the inspection despite me not buying, and are now trying to sell the defective truck without disclosing its issues. Purchased a used Nissan Rogue a few days ago. They got two stars instead of none because the internet sales manager Dan was absolutely amazing and quick to respond and a thrill to work with. I wish he could have completed my purchase. Once i was forwarded to a salesman, I asked for an accident report, which i never received. I also asked for the spare key, which he said he would call me in regards to, never received a call. I also left a message asking for the user manual for the car, never got a call back. The do not perform safety checks on any of their cars, if they did maybe they would of told my daughter that her ball bearings were bad and the whole cv axle wouldn't of broke while pulling out of a parking lot. Good thing she didn't get into accident. Then I call the dealer and they so oh you didn't get the extended warranty so we are not doing anything. Then mr Pete who is a jerk btw said he'd let the general manager Jamie know and he'd give me a call. 24hrs later and nothing. Call and was told he'd call back today or tomorrow. Who cares that my daughter has a 3 yr old and needs the car. Very very very bad experience, there are sooooo many dealers in Rockford go elsewhere and avoid this disappointment of a place. Why risk it? You could buy a car and 2 months later the cv axle could break and you would be left this pricey repair. Kunes County is a little far but all their cars are definitely inspected and come with a free warranty, this place should be erased from existence for all the heartache it causes people. The last three visits to the service department were absolutely unacceptable. In June 2021 I went in for an oil change. The next day there was a huge puddle of oil on the garage floor, under my vehicle. My husband found the oil plug just fell out when he touched it, so it had not been tightened. It was a good thing I was only a half mile away as it could have led to real serious problems. At least they gave me a voucher for a free oil change. A few months later I went in because my low tire pressure light was on. I had proper pressure in all tires. It took three visits to take care of the problem. My last visit was in November 2021. I was going in for another oil change as I was going to be leaving for FL. The day before I was to go in my "check engine soon" light came on. I thought I would wait and just have Nissan check it, as I would be there for an oil change. You can get a free check at the auto parts stores, so I thought it should be close to nothing to just plug it in for the code. When I brought my vehicle in I told them I had replaced my gas cap a few months ago , so it could be from that. I think they did not like it because I had a free oil change, so they charged me 149.95 to tell me I needed a new gas cap from Nissan. They said it would be in 3-5 days. I said I was leaving soon for FL, and they said it will be in and they will call me. After 5 days I called them and they said it was not in yet, but they would call me as soon as it arrived. On the 14th day I went in on a Saturday, as I was leaving early that Monday for FL. The door said the parts department was open Saturday 9-noon. When I got there it was closed. A gal in the office went to check to see if it was in. It was in so she sold it to me, but I had NEVER gotten a call back from the service department. I am planning to upgrade my 2011 Frontier, but will never buy another Nissan . I do not want to have to rely on this service department for any needs to my vehicle. \ read more

I am on my third Lease from this Dealership! I have leased an Altima, and I am on my 2nd Maxima as of now. The entire staff here are top notch, and Jamie is one of the best GM's in the Biz! I have had some issues in the past with My Maxima's heated seat function, and he never quit until the issue was resolved, and fixed! I made a time specific appointment to change a part I had previously priced on line, the cost ranged from $80 to $130 for a top quality replacement, but because of my age and lack of specialized tools I made an appointment with the dealer to do the work. I had been in a week or so earlier for an oil change, and at that time the service department found me in the waiting room and reported that my battery had "failed" a test (based on six year vehicle age) not knowing the battery had been changed two months earlier at another Nissan dealer in Arizona. Other than raised eyebrows there were no comments or apparent need to pursue the cause of the "faulty" test results! While the oil was being changed I had reported that a part needed to be replaced, the dealer confirmed, but they had to order it, and I was told the price to change to the part would be just over $200. As stated above, the appointment was made and I arrived 5 minutes early. They reported that the part was there, and they would "get right on" doing the replacement!. After 30 minutes I went to check, and discovered that my car had not moved, same results after 45 minutes. I was able to make a few catch up cars and stay busy, but after an hour and my car still had not moved I asked one of the service personnel and was told that they had a vehicle ahead of me from the "Express Lane", and that I was next! Apparently, appointments are meaningless, or perhaps there is "no one at the wheel" in the Service Department! They finally moved my car into a bay, and in less that 15 minutes the car was outside for pick up. After another 10 minute wait for the paperwork I was notified that the final cost was well over $300! The cost on the part was inflated by over $100, and the less than 15 minutes of mechanic's work cost me $70! So with an APPOINTMENT to do a 15 minute replacement, I was able to finally able to leave after 90 minutes! Hey, why should they care, it's MY time! And they wonder why people HATE the dealership experience! WITH AN EARLY APPOINTMENT I waited a full hour before they did any work on my car, I had to pay a grossly inflated ($100) price for a part, and I was charged an unconscionable labor fee for 15 minutes of labor! The work is good, but the management, costs, and ethics are not! I know of several honest shops (Bove Brothers) in the area that although less convenient to get to, do good, fairly priced work! I moved here from Chicago and haven't had a car in several years so there were a lot of factors that went into my decision to purchase a new car. Made an appointment to have my transmission checked for a leak. The service writer had the mechanic change my engine oil "it looked dirty" They removed the sticker that showed that the oil had just been changed and drained out my synthetic oil and replaced it. My transmission was not checked even though it is listed on the complimentary check list. Made appointment for and talked of nothing but transmission. I don't like giving bad reviews only if it will help others or helps the business change a bad habit. Beware - about a month ago my infinity started sputtering and then died. Gas gauge showed 1/4 tank and after several attempts trying to restart I finally called a tow truck. By the way, Triple A rocks and if you don't know what to get your kids this Christmas then get then a triple A subscription. Anyways having some mechanical background (limited) the problem seemed to be fuel because sometimes the car would try to run but acted like it was starving for fuel. This led me to think it was either water in the fuel, fuel filter, fuel pump or no fuel. Since the gauge read 1/4 then it must be one of the other three. The next morning the mechanic called and said it was the fuel pump and said it would cost $1,100. "Ouch".. Anyways they ordered the pump but when it came in it was the wrong pump. Since I was doing some research on infinity pumps I asked how much the pump cost. They said a little over $400. I told them I found one with all the o-rings for $69. I even gave them the website. Infiniti.com but since their computers wouldn't allow them to access the website I had to order the parts. Anyways, I got the parts, brought them to Anderson and they put them in. Got the bill for $350 and drove off. 12 miles down the road the car started doing the same thing and died. "What the heck?".. Called triple A, did I say triple A rocks.. and they come and took it to Andersons again.. Mechanic called and said it was out of gas, even though it read 1/4 tank. My thought now is it was probably out of gas all along. I feel really embarrassed and about $450 less in my savings but REALLY.. Shouldn't Andersons own some responsibility? The only thing I'm happy for is it didn't cost the original $1,100. Again. Beware when putting your vehicle in the hands of a so called professional and before trying to over analyze like I did, ask yourself the same question you'd ask your kids. Are you out of gas? I recently used the service department at this auto dealership for an expensive repair on my vechicle. I was dissapointed to find that I pulled off the lot and within a short period of time had another issue.The service advisor Cory asked me to bring the car back so they could try to resolve and diagnose the problem.Sure enough it was a secondary issue that manifested itself independently of the original problem.Cory(my service advisor) took me to my vehicle and he and the mechanic diagnosed the problem and suggested the repair that was necessary.He was very attentive,friendly and offered the best in customer service!Even though the dealarship did not do exhaust repair,he did discuss my options. The beginning and middle of my experience was wonderful. Every single employee at Mazda was a joy to work with, such as Dustin and Zack. All of the salesmen were helpful and always offered a smile. It was a great environment and one that makes you feel at home when buying a car. I trusted every single person when helping me find the right vehicle. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the second portion of my experience. I wish the gentlemen I dealt with at the beginning were also the ones who handled the finance portion..... The ending was horrible and I am appalled at the lack of customer service in financing. Pete ( in financing) needs to take a few 101 courses on professionalism, how to treat people, and that it is never okay to bash fellow co-workers to a customer. I should never know of any frustrations between fellow workers. I would not have a job if I acted the way Pete did. Shame on him for being angry that the customer did not wish to purchase an extended warranty package. I am pretty sure he would have been a joy to work with if I had agreed to the extended warranty. As soon as I declined he threw a fit. He began slamming papers around and getting angry with me. Shame on him. He should not be the last face one should have to deal with. Again, I would recommend Anderson Nissan/ Mazda. However, request someone other than Pete when it comes to the finance portion. All of the guys at Mazda are fantastic!! Don't take your car here for service! I caught a mechanic joyriding in my car and I even caught it on camera. As a result, he popped one of my tires. Unfortunately since I have a Nissan Leaf, I have no other choice but to bring my car there for service. I don't want to bring it here but I am suckered in. Bought a used car there last week. Of course it was "AS IS" but never thought a big dealer like Anderson would totally screw you over. After having it one day the check engine light came on. Took it to our mechanic who said all the codes had been reset. Now it is going to cost another $1,500-2,000 for repairs. If they knew the car had issues it should have gone straight to auction and not on their for sale list. VERY upset, VERY disappointed in this local dealership. "We want to earn your business." Not so much of a sincere gesture, but rather an artificial slogan that this Nissan dealership's sales rep stated over and over again.. You could tell in his inflection that he was 'required' to say this. The rep was pushy and put stronger/adversarial words in my mouth when I clearly stated I was just looking around (told his associate "this man INSISTS that he will go elsewhere!" He didn't want to try to sell me the car at first; his boss had to tell him to (2 stars because his boss was nice). Also, the negativity that he placed on EVERYTHING else except for himself and his dealership really reflected bad. He talked bad about other dealers, my trade in, and all my reasons for believing the car should be priced lower. I understand that this is all part of the sales game; however, part of the game is to keep the customer interested. He said he would work with me on price... only to come back with a non negotiable low trade in offer and no reduction on the vehicle's listed price. I gladly walked out, never to return. Btw, 2 weeks later, they lowered the price to what I asked for.. Too late, they will never "earn my business." read more
