Did you hear that? Wait, maybe you didn't, because my brakes are no longer squeaking or pulsating! Wha-hoooo! We were referred to this place by a friend who told us of their phenomenal work and and even more phenomenal prices. We needed our front brakes done. We dropped off the car in the morning and they called us around two o'clock to tell us it was ready. I had forgotten to tell them I needed a tire plugged. When we got there they hadn't finished the plugging work because the guy I talked to on the phone was out to lunch. But the man we talked to said no problem he would do it for us. Fifteen minutes later I have a plugged tire and he DID NOT CHARGE me. Excellent, very excellent. All-in-all our tire expenditures were around $105. Not bad. Not bad at all. I will definitely be bringing my car here in the future. I would have been hesitant to come if it had not been recommended here by a trusted friend. It doesn't look like much on the outside but don't be fooled or judge too quickly. You will surely have quality work. read more

These guys are super honest and do good work -- sometimes I have to call them to see if my repairs are complete, but they always make sure to call my wife back when she's brought her car in. My little 2001 Saturn completely lost power and they are literally down the street. I went in and said pretty sure my car need a new coil. They called me back and told me it was the module. Great auto mechanic they won't overcharge you for your services. They're willing to tell you if they're not able to do something and will direct you to a place that is able to. My family's been going here for many years I couldn't recommend them higher. Many times have simply told me that they had to replace a hose and they would be charging me. Are even willing to help me troubleshoot to fix my car at home. Family-owned business and hopefully will be in this location for many years to come. read more

Our car broke a brake line & was unsafe to drive. I called & talked to Ken @ 7am. He made me feel comfortable with his knowledge of the needed repair & recommended a towing company. The car was towed by 8:15 (another nice guy). At 1:30 I got a call saying the car was ready. And the repair was very affordable. Been a satisfied customer for over 10 years and Ellis is always my first stop. Whenever i have a repair issue i go to Ellis for 3 reasons... 1. Wont do work that is not needed. Sometimes if it's just a loose radiator cap, they wont even charge. 2. Wont do work that they are not set up for. They are not a specialty shop, no electrical issues or tranny problems, etc. They will tell you right up front they can't do it. 3. Fair and reasonable rates on work they can do. We've been using Ellis since 1993 when we moved into the neighborhood. ALL our neighbors recommended Ellis. We were young with 3 small kids and Ed and Ken kept our 1978 Olds 98 running when we had little money. We were always greeted by a smile and the wagging tail of his old labrador. Ed retired and Ken kept us on the road and recommended Chevron Techron to keep my 92 Dodge Dakota injectors from plugging up. It works like a champ. Ken was a man of few words but you could see the kindness and care for people in his eyes. Always honest in every transaction. Tim worked by his Dad's side until Ken retired. Nothing has changed over 3 generations. Honest, accurate, reliable service and advice. They've saved me tons with their knowledge, advice and integrity. 3 grown kids and 7 cars later, we moved out of town but won't go anywhere else.
