The only reason I stuck with them for so long is because no other service was available to me in my area. Their per gallon amount is almost $2.50 higher than the company I just signed up with, and this is the rate for a customer who has been with them for literal decades. And to top it all off they're charging a removal fee of $420. $121 of that fee is a "dispatch fee." So ridiculous. If dispatching a truck to one of your regular customers actually costs your company $121, you need to fire your dispatchers! And $299 to pick up a tank that you own, that has already been disconnected...?? There is nothing positive I can say about Amerigas. If you are thinking of signing up with them, don't. In addition to this, throughout the years, every single transaction/contact I've had with them in the 20 years I dealt with them has been fraught with issues. Too many issues to mention. Just a constant frustration. As I said, before you sign up with this company, think about it long and hard. We only fill our 100 gallon tank once a year. We were with Thrifty until this year and switched because of the poor customer support. Ferrellgas has a real person to answer the phone. Kim took all the info to open our account and we are scheduled to get our first fill next week, she also provided a discount for our first fill.
