The new principal is Mrs. Worley and she's been great since taking over after Mrs. Stegman retired. The community of parents is extremely involved and volunteer for all the special events the school has often. This school feels more like a private school than a public one and it shows with all the kids loving their time learning. We feel lucky to be a part of Dunsmore Elementary.

One of the best offerings is the flexible drop-off/pick-up timing. As a working parent, this was REALLY helpful (we could drop off as early as 7am and pickup by 6pm). We looked at TK as an alternative but they only offered daycare from 8am-12pm. For hybrid workers, Valley Vista also has a couple of program options for 2 days/week (Tues/Thurs) or 3 days/week (Mon/Wed/Fri), which makes childcare a lot more affordable. We loved going to parent reading day, the adorable Christmas music show, and a cute little kickoff ceremony instead of graduation.
