This is an elementary school, not a prison yard. The energy out there feels tense for no reason. There's a lot of yelling, finger-pointing, and attitude. Kids are small. Parents are just trying to pick them up. It doesn't need to feel so aggressive every day. A smile goes a long way. A calm tone goes a long way. Instead of acting like wardens, try creating a space that actually feels safe and welcoming for the kids. And this isn't just about pickup -- it feels like a bigger issue with how some staff carry themselves. Having a degree or a position doesn't mean people owe you anything. Respect goes both ways. Hopefully the principal takes a look at this and reminds the team: lead with patience, not pressure. These are children. The environment should reflect that. Now I can go into detail regarding my experience , but it would be a long review as I've been dealing with them since December 2019. Don't even take my word for it , just place a call and see how you're treated. Employees are unbelievably misinformed . One person tells me one thing and another person tells me something else . They had all summer to prepare for Covid restrictions but until the last day we still had no idea what was going to happen for the students. My child went to a private preschool for 3 years. I didn't continue private school and moved to Glendale because I had heard their public school system was doing very well. I have been informed that the teacher has been yelling at students, including screaming very close to children's ears. This behavior is causing children to feel frightened and uncomfortable in the classroom. Most concerning to me is that my child is now becoming afraid to go to school and is scared of being in this teacher's class. I understand that teachers need to maintain classroom discipline and correct inappropriate behavior. However, I believe discipline should be handled in a calm, respectful, and age-appropriate manner. Instead, she was met with the exact opposite; mockery, unkindness, and behavior that is the furthest thing from what God teaches. This isn't about one student. This is a cultural problem, a failure in guidance and leadership. If a school claims to prioritize faith, then it should actively teach empathy, humility, and compassion and not allow hurtful behavior to go unchecked. Do better. Hold your students accountable. My mother graduated from here in 1976, and when I had to change schools my freshman year of highschool, to Bell-Jeff I went. My freshman year, the only electives offered were sports, or one art class. We didnt even have a theater program (Bell-Jeff was known for its spectacularly well done musicals in the 60's and 70's) until I managed to scrape together some interest and funding my sophomore year. They will admit anyone with a decent bankroll, juice the hell out of the less wealthy families, and make the money disappear into new floors for the gym and other sports related bullshit. I graduated from here in 2001 and my god, thank goodness I can write a coherent paragraph. The academic staff is a joke, many are not even qualified to be teaching the classes they are assigned. For example, a former blockbuster employee with no degree was my 11th grade ADVANCED PLACEMENT english lit. teacher. I realize that I'm totally bashing my alma mater, and I have to be honest and say that yes, there were some amazing memories, and some truly outstanding staff members, and I dont wish to minimize the impact they had on me, but they alone are not enough to make it a great school. Some still remain like Mr. James Clerihan, the vice principal. Brother Phillip, who is the guidance counselor and Senior AP English teacher and Mr. Boysen, the religion teacher. But please, if you value rock solid education, save your children the heartache of college rejection later on in life and send them to Providence or St. Francis or any other Catholic school.

People are distant. Communication is poor. We sent in enrollment application online after a phone call. For two weeks, no response at all and we had to call in to follow up. Parents are not allowed to get into the classroom, even before COVID. The program director Angie was OK but the owner REALLY loves money. They forced all students to go back to school in the middle of the pandemic, after abruptly reducing care hours for almost three hours per day. In that case, the school gave only four days' notice. They sent out the email on June 27 2020 (Saturday) and asked all kids to go back school on July 1, with much reduced care hours. We asked to stay home longer until we felt more comfortable about COVID. The school rejected. Their position was: "if you don't like it, you can leave but we would have to keep your deposit because the contract asks for 30 days notice in advance". If you want to talk about contract, the school altered the contract in the first place, by reducing care hours for almost 3 hours! It's clear the school cares more about their money than the health of the kids and concerns of the parents. Now, they don't even want to follow the arbitration agreement they included in the tuition contract themselves, i.e. they refused to do arbitration after we filed complaint with AAA. Consequently, AAA sent them a letter, prohibiting the business to reference AAA in their contract. The school can no longer use AAA services either. I am going to upload the AAA letter. Parents, do you really want to let your child be educated by these cold-blooded, money loving, dishonest people?
