Blue star called me and gave me a quote for $360, he explained that most businesses use the camera recalibration as an excuse to up charge and that he wouldn't be disconnecting any wires when replacing my windshield. As many other reviewers have stated - if you are on the fence with ceramic, definitely do it - this is materials science technology applied to tinting and it is worth it in Texas. I strongly recommend the front windshield tinting and believe most folks aren't aware this even exists. The visibility is not affected, but the ceramic coating reflects a very high percentage of heat and excess brightness. This is one of the largest sources of incoming heat given the more horizontal orientation and the proximity to driver and passenger. So tinting this makes a huge difference. This is not the tint of 20 years ago where darker was the only way to stay cooler. Don't skip out on the windshield tinting!!!
