DO NOT TRUST THIS DENTIST. I went there for a routine cleaning after not having one for several…read moreyears. After sitting in the chair they convinced me that I really needed an exam with x-rays. Since it hadn't been to a dentist in a few years, I decided to go for it even though I was paying full price out of pocket with no insurance. After the x-rays and exam they only cleaned the one side of my mouth informing me that I would have to come back to get the other side cleaned because my teeth were so dirty they needed to spend extra time. Keep in mind they used up my teeth cleaning time with x-rays and the exam. Even though I payed for those extra services they didn't give me any more time. They also informed me I had two small cavities which for $450 they could fix and also clean the rest of my mouth at that time. Anyhow, fast forward 8 months and I just went to a different dentist for a cleaning , exam and x-rays. To my big surprise I had NO cavities and they said my teeth are very clean not needing that much attention. So it seems as though Dr. Robert Hays office knows how to make a quick buck if you ask me.

If your teeth really, I mean REALLY, need work then he'll recommend it; otherwise, he's never looking to make a few extra bucks off you. The office is only open Wednesday and Friday afternoons, as well as Saturday mornings and appointments are required. He is pretty difficult to reach by phone, which is the only reason I'm not giving him 5 stars.

Wanted me to do 2 crowns and 2 root canals... took the xrays to dr. Shen he drilled off the decay and filled it like fillings thus saving my tooth and saving me from pain. No crowns needed.

One of my front teeth started chipping. I told Dr. Carter about it, and she said not to worry, it was superficial and wouldn't continue to chip. Guess what? Now I have a nice-sized notch out of my front tooth. 2. When she flosses, if she can't get in between my teeth easily, she gives up and leaves them unflossed. 3. Our previous dentist informed my husband that he needed a couple of crowns. Dr. Carter told him that his teeth were fine; however, his teeth have been causing him more and more pain over the last year. She is the an extremely nice person with great experience as a dental specialist. Our former dental office, Grant Rickey, DDS referred my daughter to this office years ago regarding a slight crossbite my daughter had. We trusted that former dentist (shame on us) and did make an appointment with Michael Kasso for some special X-Rays, which were very expensive. He also took some still shots of her face, including profile photos. Upon reviewing the photos with him, he rudely told my daughter she looked deformed. Deformed?!!! Hell NO she does NOT look deformed, for crying out loud. Honestly, her slight crossbite had not been noticeable to any family or friends. He then went on to tell us a less invasive procedure would probably not benefit her situation and that a VERY expensive, over $10K surgery would probably be necessary. That extremely invasive surgery entailed cutting open the entire roof of her mouth. We did not believe him and discontinued any further ripoffs...I mean "service" from him. The second he insulted my daughter, he lost all credibility from me. I don't go for cheap shot sales pitches. Interestingly, upon another visit to Grant Rickey's dental office, a different dentist examined my daughter's mouth and said her crossbite was so slight that no action was needed. Interesting. My daughter is in excellent, top-notch dental care now. Phewwwwwwwww. Just last week, our dentist his fabulous hygienist, my daughter and I chatted about what went down at Kasso's office. The dental professionals were appalled by what my daughter endured at Kasso's office as are we. I also know other people who were told they needed expensive procedures done at Kasso's office. What a shame for those who followed through with possibly unnecessary dental work. Sadly, we cannot always trust our dentists. We learned that many years ago. I can not stress enough how important it is to get second opinions on dental work. Not only can unnecessary procedures cost you an enormous amount of money, procedures do not always go smoothly and you can end up with further issues and needless pain. And, search and search this planet until you do find a trustworthy dentist. There are great ones who put the patient's needs and well-being first. The orthodontist told her that whomever her orthodontist was he had done a wonderful job. He said that her teeth were in perfect alignment, her bite was perfect and he said her teeth were a magnificent job of good ortho work. She has started grinding her teeth which is the cause for the visit. After over 23 years, thank you, thank you, Dr. Kasso, for your great work!

I've have exactly 8 teeth pulled by him, 6 babies and 2 adults (I have a small jaw and too many teeth, or something). As horrible as that sounds, Dr Hochstein did a great job and left me with no emotional scarring, unlike other dental experiences I've had. He is really honest and doesn't rush to fill cavities if he thinks that they may resolve themselves. I would recommend him to anyone especially if dentistry in general makes you nervous.

His staff were always friendly and I never was kept waiting long for an appointment. He's not one of those dentists who tries to sell you cosmetic procedures or overcharges you to use high-tech equipment. He sticks to the basics and gets the job done. I especially love his receptionist, Brigitta (sp?)...always so pleasant on the phone, even the time I had to cancel an appointment totally last minute. I just spoke with her this week to get my records sent to a new dentist near my new home, and she was so helpful and cheerful as always.

"i am actually reviewing the dentistry as a whole. i've been seeing dr. cu's mom, dr. young, since i was 5 or so (20 years ago) so i am very familiar with this dentist practice. dr. young has been very good to my family and is always looking after my needs...believe me, i get a lot of crap for not flossing twice a day. when i'm in her chair, i feel like i can still get all groany and squirmy like i'm still 5 without judgement. through the years, i've watched as she upgrades to the latest technologies and tools...and they are definitely with the times. i have recently had the pleasure of meeting dr. cu and having her work with me a little bit and will look forward to the day when she becomes my primary dentist. as a mother-daughter team, i think they're great and it makes the fear of going to the dentist less frightening. i also can't forget about alma, their assistant. i've known alma since my teen years and she, too, has taken care of me and my family. she makes sure i get in every 6 months and helps work around my schedule. my husband had his first visit today and i can't wait for future kids to make their way into these doors."
