The staff is so on top of reminding, scheduling, accommodating for their patients. It is busy here because it is so popular. My kids are older but they still like coming for the last 3 years. They pick a video or iPad to keep them occupied, choose a toy/sticker/balloon animal and even get coins to get a couple little prizes from that old-school candy/prize machines. It's so cute how much they accommodate for kids! We also get quality toothbrushes...I haven't had to buy a toothbrush for them in years! Dr. Park is THE nicest man I have met and owns the business. We wait to see him and he is do personable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I really need to feel like I am getting the best care with honesty and integrity with service and pricing and this is definitely the place!! I hardly write yelp reviews unless I really find an excellent place or person. So this is a big deal.:)

The office itself is very overstimulating (arcade-like waiting area, open bay with multiple chairs, loud cartoons), which may work for some children but was overwhelming for ours. Once we were brought back, the hygienist lowered the chair without warning or explanation, which immediately frightened our child and caused significant distress. As she became increasingly upset, the response was to suggest holding her hands and legs to continue the exam. For a non-urgent, first visit, this did not feel appropriate to us. During this time, a second hygienist made joking comments and laughed about our child's distress, which felt unprofessional and dismissive. When we chose to end the visit, we were told "it will be the same next time," rather than discussing alternative, child-centered approaches. This was surprising, as we have had very different experiences at other pediatric dental practices where first visits focus on comfort, narration, and gradual exposure rather than restraint. Parents considering this office should be aware of the approach used here and decide whether it aligns with their expectations for a child's first dental experience.

After saying how that seemed extremely odd and concerning since this is a medical appointment and I'm their parent I was told it was "no different than day care". She asked about my insurance, maybe she assumed we didn't have any - and said it would "need to be paid upfront." Ok. I also see that they have the child in the room alone - no parents, which I expressed that this is not something we would ever do ; I've seen other reviews mention this, as did other mom friends, and even they seem to think it unnecessary and strange. She was rude, unprofessional, lacks decorum - and I told her this ; she then hung up on me. I called back, since I had asked for the spelling of her name and manager's name as this was happening - Amanda would be in on Monday I was told after I called back after she hung up. I could care less what your personal opinion may be, have some tact, be courteous - I will never bring my child here, and be sure to tell every mother in my area and the PTA about this prejudiced and unacceptable interaction. I've never called an establishment for preliminary information and questions as a potential customer and been treated this way. It's odd. I would reconsider who you have as the face of your business, as customer interaction is key.

There is a beautiful mural when you walk in and also a salt water fish tank. It is extremely clean and welcoming inside: there is a book nook, pac man machine, coloring station, and Etch-a-Sketch in the waiting area. In the rooms, there is a cartoon playing on the ceiling to occupy the kids. After each visit, there is a goodie bag, balloon, and stickers! Our daughter actually looks forward to going to the dentist and leaves each time beaming and proud. Zina at the front desk is ah-mazing. She has been there since the beginning and is always super sweet, personable, and helpful. The hygienists and dentists are professional, friendly and do a thorough job. I have BCBS of IL dental insurance (reputable, good coverage). The fact that the contracting with insurance and the leg work of insurance reimbursement is not handled by the office, but instead left to the patient, is in my opinion nothing short of a racket. I have not received reimbursement from my insurance and now it's my responsibility to call BCBS, sit on hold, wait for a reimbursement check. Hours of my time that should have been handled by the Grins administrative office. If you have money to flush down the toilet - this practice is great. If not - do not recommend. I will not be going back.
