I was in the area and decided to stop in for a manicure and pedicure. It was a very reasonable price for both at $20. $15 for just a pedicure. What I did not like is that not much time was put into my pedicure and the fact that customers are expected to pay extra to use the massage chair. I constantly stop in at different nail salons around queens and I've never seen a place that requires you to pay extra for the massage chair. read more

I'm a big fan of the owner. Consummate professional and all-around kind person. Andrea is a wiz at waxing eyebrows. Her talent in sculpting them is not reflected in her very low pricing but is obvious when you arrive and have to take a number. I recently started getting a gel French manicure (hand painted), done by Natalie her daughter. She uses quality products, takes great pride and is meticulous when it comes to her art. She usually works by appointment but occasionally takes walk ins. This nail salon is a sanitary establishment. I would advise you call before going there to avoid a long wait. read more

I took a chance and walked in here today to get my nails done. I was prepared for disappointment because the place was pretty empty. How good could this place be if no one was in there? Then again, it was a Wednesday morning. Janet started on my pedicure right away. You have to pay extra if you want the chair massage, I haven't encountered that before. Janet was friendly and talkative. I felt I could tell her exactly what I needed. Pedicure was pretty standard, however, hot towels are only included in a spa pedicure. That was disappointing. Also she moisturized with oil instead of lotion. For the manicure, she convinced me to try dip powder instead of gel. I had never had this type of manicure before. What sold me was that I didn't need to dry under a UV light like gel manicures. I also asked Janet about the risk of damage to my nail beds. Whenever I got my gel colors removed, my nails remained brittle and broke more easily. Apparently the dip powder helps protect the nail. I ended up with a beautiful natural colored manicure. I'll update once I see how well the manicure holds up. read more

I've been going to Andrea to get my eyebrows done for as long as I can remember. In fact, so has my mom and grandmother! She's truly the best at what she does. She keeps her salon neat and clean. Can't forget to mention that she has probably the best mani-pedi special on Jamaica Ave. All of her polishes are top quality brands (OPI, Essie, China Glaze, etc.) not that cheap stuff all the other local salons use that chips off as soon as you walk out of the door. Andrea's does get very crowded at times so go during off-peak hours. read more

Great place to get nails, feet, and eyebrows done. Andrea is very good when it comes to eyebrows. She has a steady hand and is very precise. This is a small establishment with a few technicians and it packs up fast. Try to come early in the morning, otherwise you will have to wait a while for services. They also use Essie and O.P.I nail polishes as well, which is a plus for me. read more

I've been a customer of Andrea's before she moved to her own salon and she is a totally professional cosmotologist who does not toot her own horn. Her staff is also well-trained manicurists. Andreas specializes in eyebrows and it is well worth visiting her salon, especially if you love eyebrow tinting. Noone walks out dissatisfied with their service as long as I've been with her. If you have scarce eyebrows she works magic making them look good too! If you get there and it's busy, you take your number [only for eyebrows], inquire what # she's up to, do the math and you'll know how long your wait will be, then go on Jamaica Ave and do some window shopping or buying, whatever you choose. This review may be a little long lol but my mom has been going here for over 20 years and I've been going here since I was able to get a mani/pedi or get my eyebrows done. Amazing customer service (Andrea is so nice and funny) and I cant stress this enough but all of the products and services are of such HIGH quality. Andrea is a licensed esthetician and has mastered the art of brows especially with the changing styles over the years. I always go in to get a mani pedi with one of the nail techs, which is $20 on Saturdays (ridiculously cheap for the high quality) and my nails always look flawless and LAST so long. I recommend getting the Shellac gel which is much better than your average gel polish. Maria is the best for either nail service. There is usually a wait for either service, but that's because some of the regulars have been able to develop a relationship with Andrea so call to make reservations. But I doubt if a random person asked she would say no. All of the customers new or old tend to be respectful of the space but sometimes there's a rowdy person and it's so funny to see when everyone sends them the "look" to just leave. so come in, be respectful, chat a little, and become a regular! read more

Just went in for a manicure and the lady behind the desk let me in so I sat down for a few minutes and a nail tech was on her phone. The owner came in said hi and did someone's eyebrows. Hello?? I wanted a manicure maybe they assumed I wanted a brow service but in business there is "No room to assume" I'll take me and my money elsewhere! read more

I went to the shop last week & was told it would be a long wait, I left & decided to come back another day, her hours say 9:30-6, I got there at 4:30 & was told I can't be seen because I had 2 people ahead of me. She didn't even care that I came back a 2nd time. I will never go back there again. If you can not service certain amount of people during the day than you should not be opened for business. Andrea is the best person to do eyebrows HANDS DOWN!!! My sister and I have been going to her for years and she always leaves us happy when we leave the salon. It gets busy on the weekends, so I suggest going there early when they open which is 9:30 am. However, if it's way too busy just take a number, and come back before you're number is called. Both mother and daughter are very RUDE and NASTY. I called to inquire how much for a GIRLS manicure and pedicure....the mother asked how old is the child, I said 9. She said $15. When I arrived, she told me $18. I said that is not the price you said over the phone, she then told me that price is for smaller children, but I told you how old she was on the phone. She then said in a very nasty tone "if I don't want it, I don't have to get it." Really?! Who speaks like that to a customer? Anyhow, went to the daughter for the gift certificate, she charge me $1 extra for it.....where do they charge for gift certificates? She said in a rude tone, "we have to pay for it....do u want it?
