I was referred by my dentist, who happens to be in the same building fearful that I might have a fractured molar. I visited Paces Ferry Oral Surgery for wisdom teeth extraction. I have severe anxiety with dentistry/surgical procedures and this office by far exceeded my expectations. My dentist had originally sent me to Atlanta Oral and Facial Surgery to see Dr. Bankston. The staff at the office was rude and expressed terrible bedside manner, especially in dealing with patients with anxiety. I was told I MUST remove all four teeth without any other options, and that one tooth had a complicated nerve which could lead to permanent nerve damage. After researching online, I found Paces Ferry Oral Surgery with rave reviews. Upon meeting Dr. Aiken and explaining my anxiety, he was incredibly patient with me and took the time to explain all of the risks and benefits behind removing the teeth. We took more extensive X-rays to look at the tooth with the complicated nerve and he actually suggested NOT to remove that tooth. He educated me and left the decision about the others in my hands. He was not pushy in any way. The office was very clean and his office staff was incredible, from the folks at the front desk, to the nurse with him during my surgery (I believe her name was Mel - she is fabulous). They made me feel very comfortable during the procedure. I felt ZERO pain and trust me, I have low pain tolerance. After the procedure I followed their instructions and had little to no pain. I did have some swelling, which was to be expected. Dr. Aiken himself called to check in on me post surgery. I developed a small infection a few days post surgery, and saw Dr. Berry when I returned as Dr. Aiken was out on vacation. I enjoyed Dr. Berry just as much. Very nice, patient, informative and concerned to get me better as fast as he could. He also checked in on my progress. I would highly recommend this office and will be going back for any future oral needs. One of the best in the Atlanta area! read more

Dr. Andrew Aiken is a gifted oral surgeon and just a great human being. I was referred to him by my regular dentist for consultation on a fractured tooth. From the first phone call to Oral Surgery Specialists I was positively struck by the friendliness and the level of professionalism. As I was in a fair degree of discomfort, they were able to fit me in within twenty four hours of the initial call. During the office visit/consultation Dr. Aiken explained the condition my tooth was in and thoroughly discussed treatment options. In this case the one/only option was to have the tooth extracted. Definitely in my top five all time fun things to do...not! The extraction procedure was successfully done the same day and everyone involved (Eunice, Sharon and Michael) made the whole process an exceptional experience. Just got 3 of my remaining wisdom teeth extracted by the wonderful Dr. Aiken. I live in San Diego now, but after last year's pain-free extraction of my left molar- I had to come back to Dr. Aiken for the rest. His professionalism and general ability to put a patient at ease is beyond the level of any other healthcare professional in my experience. He assuaged all of my fears by answering each and every one of my questions. He didn't even get annoyed! The cherry on top it all was that Dr. Aiken himself called on the weekend to check up on how I was feeling. Now, that's service! In terms of the office/scheduling, I was able to book an appointment for a consultation on Thursday and had my wisdom teeth extracted the following day. After reading the rave reviews, I scheduled a consultation to have two of my wisdom teeth extracted, and I was able to get my teeth pulled the same the day (what a relief!). Everything was explained in detail - procedure and billing. The procedure was about 10-15 minutes with almost no pain. There is absolutely no swelling. I visited Dr. Aiken of Paces Ferry Oral Surgery today for a consultation. I had been having a tooth ache and knew it was time to have my wisdoms removed. He was soooo patient and very informative regarding the things going on in my mouth. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable with him and his staff. I have never had any type of surgery before so naturally I was extremely nervous but he made me feel really good about everything. I am so excited about going back to have my teeth pulled. I had a wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Aiken. The staff was friendly starting with my initial phone call. They didn't have an opening when I called but called me immediately once one became available. I was able to listen to music so I couldn't hear the drilling while getting my tooth removed. Dr. Aiken as well as his staff was very friendly and professional! The video on home care instructions was very helpful, short and to the point. I hate going to the dentist but this appointment was by far the best dental experience I've ever had. read more

Absolutely outstanding techniques and services. There might be some misunderstanding while I was scheduling the appointment, which resulted in that my appointment wasn't on record when I arrived. However, the lady at front desk checked with Dr.Aiken and got me an appointment right away. Finding out that my orthodontics office (Georgia Orthodontics Alliance in midtown, 14th street, don't go to them ever) failed to send my X-ray images to them after three requests, the staff gave me an X-ray scan for free. After consultation, Dr.Aiken did the wisdom teeth removal for me right away. It was a cheap procedure, and they gave me the option to separate into two payments, which is helpful and nice. Now it is two weeks after the procedure, and I believe I have completed recovered. Actually the surgery site stopped bothering me after a week. It is worthwhile to mention that I had two complete bony wisdom teeth at the bottom plus I am wearing braces, which means it was more complicated than average wisdom teeth removal. Eva, the assistant addressed my concern professionally and patiently when I called them later. As a previous reviewer said, I also got a check up call from Dr.Aiken in the weekend after the procedure, which totally amazed me. Last but not the least, when I requested for my X-ray scan (which they did for me for free) and the 3D scan, so I can bring to my new orthodontics office, they sent out a mail with printed copy and a CD within or at the latest the second business day. I got 2 wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Aiken recently. The procedure was fast and pain free. The hardest part was waiting. The night after my procedure, Dr. Aiken called to see if all was well. Dr. Andrew Aiken is hands down the BEST maxillofacial surgeon or oral surgeon in Atlanta; no fabrication whatsoever!!! I got into a major mountain bicycle accident and had three teeth that were knocked out, one of them I couldn't recover. I thought my mouth would NEVER be the same however THE GREAT Dr. Aiken was able to restore the two teeth that he had to work with very smoothly and successfully and was able to save the teeth from dying in the long run. Without the hands of God and Dr. Aiken this would have never been possible due to the extreme and severe condition the teeth were in when I arrived, literally scariest moment of my life. I am very grateful that I was with the right surgeon during this devastating time and surgery because any other would've struggled or failed and trust me I did call many highly reviewed offices before I contacted his to ensure I was in the right hands because I had just came out of four years of orthodontic treatment and began and acting and modeling career, and completed my first commercial. He also followed up with me many times to make sure I was okay and made himself available if I needed him. I felt at home when I was there thanks to Dr. Aiken and his warm staff. Dr. Aiken is a genius, highly composed and very personable and his staff is very educated, friendly, professional and accommodating. The one trait I picked up from him the whole time was that he under promises and over delivers which is key in any profession. Not to mention his strong dental dexterity, leadership, organization, and interpersonal communication skills he displays on a daily. Trust me you will not regret using him for any of service's he offers. The ONLY reason I will not be able to follow through with my implant with him is because my insurance has a provider they use and they are covering the costly procedure in FULL, as many know dental implants are not cheap regardless of the surgeon. On Friday, May 26, 2017, Dr Aiken extracted one of my lower teeth. I had never been to his office before, but that will change. When I arrived , I was welcomed by the front desk assistant. I did not have a long wait. I was taken to the back where my tooth was "gently removed." I can honestly say I never experienced any pain. I waited for the numbness to go away. Even then, there was no pain. Dr Aiken"s staff was courteous. Each and every employee performed their jobs in the best possible way. I am an extremely pleased patient of Dr. Aiken and I would recommend him to absolutely anyone in need of seeing an oral surgeon! I had a bit of an emergency when I was on day 6 of having an infected wisdom tooth that needed to come out as soon as possible. Once I was told that I couldn't be seen by my local oral surgeon for a consultation until January 6th, I panicked and turned to google to find the highest rated oral surgeon in my area, which is where I found Dr. Aiken. I called his office on December 29th and spoke with a very professional receptionist who told me that I could be seen for a consultation with Dr. Aiken on December 31st. Two days after my phone call, I was in his office where I was not only able to be seen for the consultation, but also have all four of my wisdom teeth extracted on the same day! It is now three days after my procedure and I am feeling great! I've made sure to follow the post-op steps very carefully and I have not experienced any pain! Absolutely love this doctor . He is very professional and my extractions went and are healing perfectly. I got all four wisdom teeth removed with ABSOLUTELY NOOOOO SWELLING which is amazing I did have pain which pain killers helped a lot with. I would highly recommend Dr. Aiken! I went to a consultation with Dr. Aiken followed by a surgical removal of the bottom left and right wisdom teeth. He was so professional and had so much wisdom when it comes to oral surgery and making patients feel comfortable. His assistant was helpful and friendly. FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!!! I would highly recommend Dr. Aiken and his practice at Oral Surgery Specialists of Atlanta. I had an emergency extraction of a broken wisdom tooth last Friday. I was in incredible pain prior to the visit and Dr. Aiken made time to see me on very short notice. His office staff was incredibly friendly and helped with my insurance paperwork. I am a bit dental-phobic and I was very nervous heading into the office. Dr. Aiken immediately put me at ease. He explained the procedure that needed to be done and gave me several options regarding anesthesia/pain control. He wisely advised that it made sense to remove both lower wisdom teeth since the other tooth was a potential problem in the future. He recommended laughing gas and local anesthetic, which was the right call. He and his staff made me feel very comfortable during the actual procedure. They provided headphones and an IPOD with my choice of music. I never felt the injections I got before the extractions. During the procedure, he performed both extractions quickly and smoothly. After the procedure he took the time to give me an excellent referral to a regular dentist. He even called on the weekend to make sure that I was healing properly. Dr. Aiken is a fantastic oral surgeon. I would highly recommend him and his practice.
