TO ANYONE ON A BUDGET WHO RELIES SOLELY ON THEIR DENTAL COVERAGE AND CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY ANY OUT OF POCKET: The Atlanta Dental Spa is located in my building so I was interested in cleaning/ preventative services out of convenience. Although the place looks nice and the staff seem nice, don't be deceived. My bf and i walked down and spoke with the front desk about an appt. I gave her my insurance and instructed her to notate in my chart that all services needed to be pre cleared with insurance before appt bc I am legally disabled, on a very limited fixed income, and could not afford anything not covered. At the end of Sept I spoke with the Insurance person, Lura, regarding my coverage. On the phone I also informed her about pre-clearing my services and she told me no problem. At the 1st of the month she ran my insurance and told me I was good to go. To me, this means that she called the insurance company and made sure the preventative services were covered. Otherwise I would've hoped that she'd advise me to find an in-network provider who did cover the care. But she didn't do that. Just a go ahead to come to the appt. Day of appt, I signed the forms, including the financial responsibility forms, under the assumption that I was pre-cleared for my services. Boy was I wrong. I received a $325 bill for services- which is astronomical for someone on a tight budget. When I reached out to Lura I received the exact response that I was expecting-- reference to signing the financial responsibility agreement and that it was my responsibility. How unsympathetic can you be to not even do the proper insurance verification on a patient specifically requesting it for financial reasons, and then surprise billing them. It's just completely dishonest and wrong when the patient is greatly depending on the services to be covered. I highly recommend finding a dentist that works in network. I found others on Yelp with the same exact complaint as I had- being told out of network insurance is accepted and then getting a surprise bill. This dental office is so amazing. It truly was the best dental experience I've ever had! The office is beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff at the front our friendly and helpful. The parking situation is a little tricky, but if you want the video they send to you prior to your visit, it's super easy to find! My dentist, Dr. Stinson was thorough, professional, helpful and also funny! I highly recommend him!! His assistant was really great too. Right before my cleaning started, she offered me a drink, a warm blanket and a heated neck pillow! When we were done with the cleaning, they provided me with a warm, towelette to wipe my hands and face. It smelled amazing. It felt like I was at spa or something! Wow ! Is all I can say ! I came here for a cleaning it's located in buckhead. So pretty inside I was too busy looking around at the ambiance I didn't take pics lol. Comfy chairs , water fountain in the middle of the office flat screens the works ! Now I am terrified of the dentist but was instantly put at ease by the professionalism the staff had . I had my X-rays with the fancy machine. I was then taken to another room where they explained everything in alllll detail. Each step of the cleaning by the hygienist was explained in great detail. The cleaning was great , she took her time and was very gentle. Then dr cresman came in reviewed my X-rays and I just loved he sat and talked with me and took his time. He even asked my profession !!! I love when drs take the time to talk I felt so informed about my treatment plan . Oo and the next thing I left with a whole electric toothbrush. A nice one at that. So I had a cavity .So I came back and dr yeung filled it. Omg he was so gentle and thorough and explained everything. He was great. I am so so happy I found this place . For Watever reason my Insurance was out of network or something so I paid a little bit out of pocket , but IDC the care and professionalism I received is welllll worth it. read more

I am amazed with the level of professionalism and honesty from the Atlanta dental spa team. I scheduled a consultation with Dr.Creasman for veneers. The process of scheduling was easy, did it via text. My consultation was very informative! They took high quality pictures of my teeth before starting, and during the consult the pictures were in front of me on the tv which really helped me see in detail what my teeth needed. Dr.Creasman spent time explaining all of my options and helped me make the right decision, which actually wasn't veneers. I'm so happy to have received an honest consultation with no pressure. I owe a great debt to the people at Atlanta Dental Spa. I came into their Buckhead office a sobbing and blubbering disaster. After years of neglect and abuse, my teeth a rotting mess, I had to make a change. It took cracking one of my front teeth in half to get me in the door. I have a severe dental phobia. The sound of the drill and the suction sends me into a panic, and up until a few months ago simply calling in to schedule an appointment would result in an hour of hitching sobs. Before July of 2019 I hadn't stepped foot into a dentist for more than five years. Five years of chewing only in that one spot because those teeth weren't cracked, of feeling the pain and throb of infection in a badly neglected cracked tooth, five years of soft foods for fear of breaking another tooth... Dr. Currie, Dr. Kirby, Ms. Lacy and Jeanna and the whole team at ADS have been nothing but supportive and kind throughout months of work. I had two extractions, three crowns, and a massive descaling and deep cleaning. Never once did they make me feel bad about bawling all over the exam chair. They held my hand. They told me it was going to be okay. I got a hug from Jeanna every time I walked through the door because she was always there to meet me. I told them out of the gate that I would need to be sedated, and they made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole process and listened to my every concern. I know I still have a long way to go, but thanks to them I can smile again and recently I got through a cleaning with only nitrous. That's huge for me. Y'all don't even know. I am new to Georgia and was nervous about starting over with a new dentist. I had a routine checkup and cleaning back in February at the Roswell location. Everything went extremely well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I left that appointment feeling relieved about finding such a great team. Last week I went to the Buckhead location after a piece of my filling fell out. The office was great at getting me an appointment right away. Once again, the staff was very warm and welcoming. After the x-rays and exam, I was presented with a bill and told that 100% was due upfront. Apparently they charge their patients upfront and then file the insurance claims. I was not made aware of this. I left that appointment disappointed and unhappy. Now I am back to where I started and looking for a new dentist. read more

I deliberately waited to review this place until after my second visit and I have to say, this has been the best dentist office I've visited in my whole life. Past experiences have given me a fair amount of anxiety when it comes to dentist appointments and while other places have been pretty good at listening to my concerns, the people at Atlanta Dental Spa go above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable throughout the whole visit. On my very first appointment they conducted an interview to find out how I feel about going to the dentist, what my concerns are, whether I have any questions, and what my overall goals are for my smile/teeth. They addressed all my concerns and made sure to remember what we discussed during the follow visit. They also offer cool features that really make it feel like you're visiting a spa as well as going to the dentist. They give you the option of doing a hand soak, give you sunglasses, a warm neck pillow, etc so that you actually end up really enjoying your appointment. I live about an hour from New Orleans and I was scheduled to have a new patient appointment/cleaning today at 8:30 am at this office. I was trying to establish a relationship with them so that when I get done with my current Invisalign treatment, I could go on to get my bonding or veneers with a dentist that was familiar with me at that point. I had an appointment a few weeks ago but I had to cancel it the day before because of an emergency (truck was officially totaled due to the flood and the rental agency did not have my vehicle ready). They basically told me that they had a strict 2-day cancellation policy and that I couldn't let it happen again, etc. So, I had an appointment yesterday morning at 8:30. I set out on my 6-7 hour journey Tuesday night. Found someone to keep my special needs child, booked a hotel, rented a car, etc. only to wake up to a text message that they sent at 6:39 in the morning yesterday, less than 2 hours prior to the appointment, that my appointment was canceled because my hygienist won't be there. They are were basically pretty nonchalant. I went back and forth with them from when I woke up until about 8:18 am when they asked me if I could make a 9:00 am appointment 45 min away. I told them I could try but traffic was so bad it was going to be 9:30 before I could be there. They told me that if I could be there they could just do what they can in the time I have left. Uh, no. It's already expensive, I'm not paying someone full price to give me a rushed job. They had to have known that by 6:39 in the morning, I had to have already been in Atlanta or would have been already there being that I was coming from out of state. If they're going to welcome out of state patients, they should be able to work them in with another hygienist if someone doesn't show up for work. I refuse to believe they only had one hygienist. And don't hold customers to cancellation policies that you don't adhere to yourself. Respect other people's time just as you want them to respect yours. This was the best teeth cleaning I've ever had. They were so polite and welcoming. I got a paraffin wax on my hands and they blasted my teeth with some baking soda mixture that made them feel so clean. I was super happy with the staff and the whole experience. I knocked off one star because of price. My insurance covered the cleaning in full but it was almost $400 without insurance. I need to have a few cavities filled but I won't have them done here since my insurance won't cover the full cost. I've price compared and every place I've contacted is less expensive. I am fairly new to ATL, and have lived in a variety of big cities. Being a New Yorker, I'm often a snob about how "great" and "better" things can be in NYC. I also often travel a lot, so I get to check out various facilities around the world. That said, Atlanta Dental Spa is the BEST dental facility I've ever come across. The layout is small, but cozy, clean, and the general atmosphere is that of relaxed calm. After you phone in for your appointment, they send a follow-up e-mail with a link to get to know a bit more about you. Most dental places simply have you come in and present you with a clipboard with some random form to fill out. Here, they saved me a ton of time by having me submit all my relevant info. in advance, which is great if you're picky about your time. Julie, who I view as the concierge, is fantastic at getting to know you and what your goals/objectives are for seeing the dentist in the first place. She then follows up with the dentist, hygienist, and assistant to make sure that your needs are understood and are being considered by all interested parties. She's so nice and sweet about making sure you're comfortable and that you understand everything related to treatment. I am currently recovering from major dental work at ADS and based on sub-par experiences that I've read about on the net, I must say that my recovery is a walk in the park compared to what others have lived through at other places. Doctor Currie and Jobeth have been incredibly beyond compare in their skill and attention to me as a patient/customer. As a pair, they were thorough, gentle, and answered all of my questions. Dr. C even explained everything exhaustively to make sure that I had no concerns whatsoever. I never thought I'd love going to the dentist, but I'm already looking forward to my follow-up appointment and post-op care. They're THAT good - for real. I'm beyond impressed with my visit today. Not only is the design of this office nice and pristine with a very polite and embracing staff. The experience was one of a kind. It started with a tour and ended with a stuffed goodie bag of mints, shades, lip balm, and a self-branded travel electric toothbrush. I appreciated the small things that are expected like pre-pasted disposable toothbrushes and the unexpected like paraffin wax hand treatment while getting serviced. Consultation: I had my consult and cleaning. The hygienist Lacey took her time to explain the treatment and future treatments for my concerns. We discussed what I'd been experiencing based on paperwork. She actually looked through paperwork to address past and present concerns and if they're treated, what caused it, and how to prevent it if current. I thought that was a step above the norm. Another do-good was her explaining the option of a perio saliva test for those applicable and the pathogens disease trigger/connection. Actual service: Following this was the scanning and pictures. She took my blood pressure which is routine here, that's the first I've experienced blood pressure testing at a dentist. It was a comfortable very pleasant dentistry experience. I highly recommend this place for all ages although there aren't child play areas it's a unique and friendly place that would calm a child plus there are TV's on the walls and ceilings to keep focus on while in the chair. The entire visit was two hours. Returning: I received a well-priced quote for an in-office teeth whitening treatment. It's a product better than Zoom! Whitening and I'll see immediate results up to 3 shades lighter, and my teeth may continue to white over 48 hours. The service is two hours long. I'm excited about my return! read more

The staff is absolutely amazing. My insurance company is a real bear to work with, and this place's billing staff bends over backwards to work with them. She's also really informative, explaining exactly what's going on, and getting into the science of dentistry. They had a Groupon for a whitening, and the first time I went to that place was great -- hygienist was nice, no problems other than some minor gingivitis. 6 months later after making sure to take really good care of my teeth and coming in for a cleaning and exam... somehow I had 3 cavities that were in active decay. I smelled bull, so I asked friends for dentist recommendations and one of my best friends recommended this place. I am so very, very glad I took her recommendation. I am new to Georgia, and came from Washington DC pretty anxious about finding a great dentist who could meet my expectations, and make me feel comfortable, but I have to say I've been so impressed with my team at Atlanta Dental Spa in Buckhead. I came to them with some minor tooth pain, and got a cleaning as well. I also asked to speak to someone about the option to correct some crookedness with my top two front teeth. Something minor, but it had bothered me for awhile. They had me consult with Dr. Creaseman, and he was fabulous. He didn't try to sell me on getting all of my teeth re-done. He even told me if it were up to him, he would do as little as possible since my teeth were pretty straight from Invisalign and years of braces. I went with his recommendation to just get veneers on my two front teeth, and could not be happier. He matched the rest of my teeth so perfectly. Friends and family have said they can't even tell I have veneers, and that my teeth look super white, which is always what you want to hear. Ultimately, I found the dental practice of my dreams. They give you a warm neck pillow, and blanket, and make sure you're as comfortable as possible at all times. They also give you noise cancelling headphones to help you relax and block out the noise from their tools. They over communicate and make sure they bring you along in every part of the process and they set completely reasonable expectations. I wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else. Try them. I had recently moved to the Buckhead area and found this dental office on yelp. I'm very ambivalent about my experience bc I would give the overall customer service and friendliness of the staff 5 stars, however, the dental work that I came for wasn't what I anticipated. I came to the office with a chipped crown on one side of my mouth and a temperature sensitivity on the other. Coming from my previous dentist out of town, I had already took the conservative approach to the sensitive tooth and knew that the cavity was very near the root and so a root canal would've been the next step. Before placing the permanent crowns he said he would do another X-ray to ensure the root wouldnt be a problem. The X-ray was done and the permanent crowns were placed but I wasn't able to chew, floss, nor brush my teeth on the left side. Dr. King then said, "If he needed to do a root canal they would go through the crown he just placed,@ which to me, seemed weird because it could've been done before placing the permanent crown. My experience is solely related to Dr. King, as he was very nice and personable, however, he exacerbated my issue from being just a sensitivity to temperature, to not being able to chew, floss, or even brush on the left side of my mouth. This issue came at a whopping out of pocket charge of $3,089.88, or $1544.94 per crown. Now, the money is only an issue because I didn't receive the solution to what I paid for. Before I left the facility after having both crowns placed, I notified the staff that I was in excruciating pain. At that point, I was given two Advil's and told to swish with peroxide. I was down for the count the rest of that day due to the pain and was thankful I had something stronger at the house. Dr. King did call and leave a voicemail the same day to check on me but like I said before, I was in so much pain I fell asleep to try and get through it. Days after, I was not able to chew on the left side of my mouth as my bite was off from the crown and anything I tried to chew on that side gave me a cringing pain. I wasn't able to make an appointment immediately due to my own personal obligations. A reason that I gave two stars is because this office is extremely accommodating in getting you in for an appointment. However, once I returned for my bite adjustment I was told by Dr. King, in a very friendly tone "this was a first time he'd ever heard of this kind of painful situation." As a medical provider myself, I am not one to belittle someone's pain but I am charged with the authority to fix it and find a solution. I was very disappointed to hear him say that especially since African American women are placed with the stigma of having "phantom pain" and aren't taken seriously when we voice it. He then said he wanted to test the temperature sensitivity of the crown and asked my permission to do so, I agreed, however, I almost jumped out of the chair because it was so painful. He then stated, "that I had a hypersensensitivity to that side." At this point I was terrified. Terrified to grind my teeth back and forth or even clamp down so that he could see my bite without numbing the area because of the pain and knowing his thoughts about what I was experiencing. Again, Dr. King's "bedside manner" is very personable and friendly, however, I had lost all trust in his "competent care" of my being. I agreed to let him numb the area so that I could clamp down and grind my teeth to adjust my bite. I was sweating in the chair I was so nervous and frightened that I might leave in a worse condition than I had came. Thankfully, I didn't. However, I am still not able to floss nor chew on my left side. I was given a referral to an endodontist office for a possible root canal if the problem persisted. At this point, I wouldn't trust ANYONE he referred me to bc I left with damages and minus $1544.94. I canceled the preventative cleaning scheduled for the following week and am currently researching a provider who can help me regain chewing on my left side and fix the hypersensitivity. Although the staff was very nice, I would not recommend this office to anyone for the service because I feel like I'd been ripped off and left in a terrible situation. I was in the market for a new dentist, specially one that specialized in both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry (since I have veneers) and came across Atlanta Dental Spa. I reached out to them through their website to ask a few questions and set up an appointment. I received a response immediately from Kelsi who not only answered all of my questions, but worked with me to schedule an appointment quickly based on my availability. She was not only helpful, but so friendly. When you walk in, you are immediately welcomed by whoever is working the front desk. Frankly I felt like I was walking into a spa---the name does not lie. It smells so good and office has a calming presence about it, which is good if you have anxieties about the dentist. I am not going to lie---I don't hate the dentist, but I don't particularly love the dentist either. I was immediately greeted by Kelsi and met with my hygienist Brittney minutes after I arrived. When you go in the room, there is a tv on the ceiling and one above you (when they put the chair back). You have the option to receive a FREE paraffin hand treatment (ummm hello AMAZING) and a warm neck towel. Of course I said YES to both of them. I mean this was become more and more of a spa experience and I loved every part of it. :-) It also completely calmed my nerves. I felt like both Brittany and Dr. Kirby took the time to get to know me and discuss my whole tooth history. Something that rarely happens with dentists/doctors these days. And frankly that is really important to me. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this place. The whole staff is AMAZING (Ansley, Brittney, Dr. Kirby, Kelsi, and ALL of the others who have helped me, but I cannot remember their names) are so sweet! I found Atlanta Dental Spa via Instagram and after months of following them I finally took the plunge to make an appointment for a cleaning. The appointment scheduling process was super easy! I called to make my appointment and was able to get in the following Friday. I was emailed a link to fill out my new patient paperwork online which made the check in process fairly simple. There were still some papers that I had to sign in person but all of the heavy lifting was already done. Another reason I really liked this is because my care team had the appropriate time to review my paperwork prior to me getting in the chair so it was almost as if they already knew me! I have extreme anxiety visiting the dentist but thanks to Danielle and the rest of the team at ADS I actually got out of there without shedding a tear! They made the whole experience extremely comfortable for me with everything from a paraffin hand dip to laying under a heated blanket. There was a TV on the ceiling so I was able to watch tv in comfort while having my teeth cleaned. I cannot recommend Atlanta Dental Spa enough! I am new to Atlanta, and my primary doctor recommended ADS. I was just simply excepting just regular service, but they really went up and beyond to treat me wonderful. Amanda was so thorough in explaining everything that was going on with my teeth and also if any charges need to be paid by the patient that the insurance isn't able to cover. Not being blindsided with unexpected charges. Definitely recommend. Also, they gave me a cute welcome package which included a new electric toothbrush. read more

Overall, I'm happy with my cosmetic work at Atlanta Dental Spa. The pros: highly rated, lots of patients, lots of experience from the dentists, accessibility to the assistants and dentists. My biggest concern was that I always feel rushed when I go in... whether it's to correct something, ask a question or voice concerns, I always feel like they're trying to rush me out of the door. For instance, I had an issue with the back of one tooth being uneven. The "fix" was less than 5 minutes, with a very quick "That feel ok now? ... Ok bye." When in reality, I'd like the time to feel the changes and address concerns. So know that going in. Even after spending $20k there, I never felt the "spa" experience. I am terrified of all things dentist and am in the middle of some extensive dental work. I have no idea what I would do without the kind, caring, gentle staff at Atlanta Dental Spa (particularly Tori and Dr. King). They go above and beyond to allay my fears and make me feel safe. There is absolutely no shaming about dental fear and they are so informative and encouraging. They call to check on you after dental work. Rarely do you find care providers with a high level of integrity, but Atlanta Dental Spa embodies this trait. The outcome of my appointment was not MY intended result, but instead the recommendation of options by professionals who have your best interest at heart and not out just to collect a fee. I really wished I had the professional staff information I interacted with handy, but all of them were great. I want to thank the dentist again for his honest evaluation based on his knowledge and experience. I had an AMAZING first time experience at ADS. The atmosphere is modern and relaxing. Everyone treated me so kindly. Kristina, the receptionist was forgiving that I did not fill out the patient questionnaire prior to my appt... OOPS. My hygienist, Lacey, was super kind and very gentle. She was upfront and knowledgeable about my dental health. :) Dr.kirby was kind and not 'scary' ha! His 'tableside' manner was reassuring. He took his time checking my chompers and asked if I had questions. Jeanna, the treatment coordinator presented options for future treatment. Overall, my first time experience was stellar. Found them via a quick Google search and so happy I did. I don't know if I've ever had such a posting earlier experience at a doctors office. Booking an appointment was so easy - they email responses come so fast and are very convenient. When you walk in you truly think you're in a spa. Nice, modern furniture in the waiting area. With a connected media room with computers, coffee bar and snacks. The staff is super friendly. Extremely high tech in all of the X-rays and processes and makes getting your teeth cleaned and X-rayed a breeze. They have two tvs in your room so you always have something to watch if you want. They also have a paraffin hand wax for the duration of your appointment- my hands are so soft! They provide warm neck towels and blankets. This truly is an incredible experience. It doesn't feel like going to the doctor at all. The staff is friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. I will definitely be referring anyone and everyone to come here. read more

I went to Atlanta Dental Spa for the first time about a year and a half ago for a checkup and consultation for veneers, a dental implant, and whitening after an accident. I did end up using them for my 8 veneers and one implant and I am beyond pleased with the work. However, when I called today to set up a cleaning, something very upsetting happened. I was informed that despite having had upwards of $20,000 work of work at Atlanta Dental Spa, I was still considered a "new patient" for the purpose of cleaning. This meant that I would need a schedule a 2 hour appointment, full x-rays and the works. When I explained to the girl who answered the phone that this didn't make sense and I would just like a simple cleaning, she said that this was a necessary part of their treatment protocol. I have been to this office at least 15 times and have had my mouth examined more in the past year and a half (by THIS office) than anyone should in their entire life. The two hour "new patient" workup costs significantly more than a basic cleaning, which is what I needed. Despite the huge amount of money spent on having every single thing done that was recommended to me at this office--I find this insulting. I just can't stomach going back, no matter how lovely it is. read more

My motto: If it's free, its for me! I had the opportunity to get a complimentary teeth cleaning and X-rays at Atlanta Dental Spa and so I took advantage as I was already past due on my six month cleaning. I had been thinking of getting a consult anyway for basic overbite correction but as I suspected there wasn't much that could be done short of a mouth of veneers. No thank you. Atlanta Dental Spa is in a super easy location to find on Maple Drive. You can find them on Maple which is the street across from the LA Fitness and Gordon Bierch on the corner of Piedmont and Peachtree. It is truly a beautiful dental office/spa. When you walk you in you will be impressed. There is a cute Internet cafe with coffee and tea that your ride or guest or anyone receiving services can use. The interior is white with stones and a fountain inside too. It gives you the spa feeling immediately. The rooms are state of the art with flat screens on the wall as well as the ceiling. No expense was spared in making this facility beautiful. Now onto the service. The staff are very friendly with beautiful smiles. I forgot to ask if they had there work done at the ADS. The hygienist and dental assistant were very funny and I got a hand parafin wax while I was getting my teeth cleaned.. Cha ching! The X-rays were easy and a lot more enjoyable then ones then I had in the past. I would chalk that up to the staff and the modern equipment used. My teeth were very clean and I am glad they didn't used that nasty fruity stuff that my other dentist office uses. The hygienist also made me some whitening trays and I have been whitening all week. All in all, it was a good experience and a great addition to the neighborhood. I think the Buckhead and surrounding neighbors will enjoy there experience if they are looking for a new dentist or looking to try somewhere new. read more

Folks, this is not your typical dentist. In a time when typical dentists' offices are all too often trying to expand their services and becoming part dentist office part beauty salon, massage parlor, aromatherapy center, or auto repair shop just to bring in a little more money and a few more clients, it's such an incredible breath of fresh air to find a dental clinic whose primary focus really seems to be delivering the most quality, diligent, and professional clinical dental care. "Spa" is in the name, and yes, it looks really fancy on the inside, but don't be fooled - I've been in hospitals with less clinical and diagnostic accommodations. Atlanta Dental Spa is the real deal. Everything from the incredible staff and doctors to the unbelievable diagnostic technology and the breadth of their in-house clinical capabilities is seemingly surpassed by none. Most importantly, these doctors are really unbelievable. They operate more or less as a clinical team, each with a particular set of skills that is exploited based on your specific needs. I have not had the best dental experiences in my life, and it's easy for me to be biased, but it does not take much to know true quality when you see it. I won't go into the details of my visit, and I don't want to name any names yet because honestly I haven't met everyone in the practice yet - there are plenty of people already weighing in on the great customer service experience, hospitality, and comforts of being a patient here. What I will say is that this place gave me a completely new outlook not only on going to the dentist, but more importantly on clinical care. It's so refreshing to be surrounded and cared for by clinicians, dentists, and dental hygienists who truly seem to be invested in you as an individual. People who take their time, who get personal, who let you talk, and who take your concerns seriously. It felt so great to see my dentists (yes, dentists, plural) actually creatively and collectively interested both in my dental concerns and in the treatment plan that they recommend. It's hard to explain, I suppose, but it suffices to say that I felt so cared for and so comfortable here that it is unlikely I will ever go anywhere again. I apologize for the slightly less detailed and slightly more emotionally-charged review, but it's important that people who are considering switching to this practice take into account that finding a great dentist is about so much more than how close it is to your house or how many people work there or, yeah, I'll say it, even whether your insurance is accepted. I'm not saying these things are not important, but let me tell you - sometimes you get rewarded by thinking slightly out of the box. Actually, for those of you who just got skeptical, let me comment briefly on that. This practice is out of network for many insurance companies and while this is certainly a downside for many, let's consider a few things: (1) The rates for routine work are surprisingly reasonable, especially considering what you get for your money; (2) In spite of this, they have special people on staff to help with financial planning, as needed; (3) By being less bound by insurance, they offer solutions and services personalized to the patient. This is particularly important, I imagine, for people who suffer from serious dental problems and really need a doctor to get creative and diligent about their care. Now, let me be clear: I am not some rich guy who is happy about this place simply because I can afford it. I wish. No, I am a nearly-broke grad student who recognizes true quality and professionalism when I see it and I am happy to pay for what Atlanta Dental Spa has to offer (seriously, you've really gotta experience this). Anyway, I've rambled on enough. I've never said this before but I am honestly looking forward to coming in and seeing my dentists and hygienist again. I'm so grateful to have found ADS at a time when I was really losing all hope in dentists overall. I highly recommend this practice to anyone considering making a switch. For as long back as I can remember, my visits to the dentist have been mediocre at best, and that is related to the fact that I am always pushed to spend lots of $$$. I visited Atlanta Dental Spa a couple weeks ago and I was blown away by how friendly the staff and overall service was, in addition to the fact the location is gorgeous. It has a lounge with iMacs, drinks, and snacks! About five minutes after of completing my new patient forms, I was greeted by a wonderful person that I am already looking forward to seeing again on my next visit. The appointment was the most pleasant and informative dental visit I've ever had. Sure, I needed a cleaning and found that I have a wisdom tooth that needs to be pulled, which the staff fully addressed. But they also placed a lot of emphasis on oral health and how to prevent problems from occurring. Frankly, I learned more in my 2 hour appointment today than I had in 20+ years of going to the dentist. She took great care of me and presented me with a treatment plan plus many other recommendations, all without trying to push me into spending a ton of money. I highly recommend Atlanta Dental Spa to everyone and anyone that is looking for a 5 star staff + service + location!
