Sep 27) Sent Brian scanned copies of the papers I needed served. Sep 28) I received a text stating that the papers have been served and Brian sent me an invoice to pay over PayPal. Sep 30) After paying through PayPal Brian emailed me a pdf of the invoice for my records and a pdf of the signed paperwork that the defendant in my case had been served. He also mailed me a physical copy of both. This was a very efficient and pleasant experience. For those who are looking to have court papers served around the Vallejo area give should Brian a call. ****Side Note**** For those of us that are around 30 years old or younger "millennials" and will never own or cross paths with a scanning machine in their lives, here is a good way to make pdf scans of any paperwork. Step 1) Use an iPhone 8 or newer iPhone. Step 2) Go to the setting and turn your camera resolution to the highest 4K setting. Step 3) Download the "CamScanner" app. Step 4) Take pictures of your documents with the app and they are automatically converted and saved to PDF format. Step 5) To get rid of the watermark that the CamScanner app leaves on the corner of every page in you PDF just open the PDF in your "Notes" app and there will be an option to draw over your PDF. Select the white color for the pencil and just white out those pesky watermarks! Step 6) Save the modified PDF and send them to Brian!

This is the second time they basically dropped everything and got something done for me that was pretty difficult. They have also finessed a few things in the San Mateo Sheriff's Office. (Frank knows the local Sheriffs and is careful to follow the procedures in each office -- this one needs a declaration re electronic writ even after the change in the SER forms etc...) My son and three of his friends found themselves in a tough situation when they got into an accident, and one of their headlights was out. The officer arrived and, noticing their distress, took the time to assist them in fixing it so they could safely drive home. As a mother, it's terrifying to imagine your child stranded and vulnerable, especially in an unfamiliar and less-than-ideal area. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to that officer for stepping in to help my son and his friends get home safely.
