The symptoms were very unusual--the screen would go black at certain vehicle speeds and when using the turn signals, while the radio and other functions continued to work. Michael and Jared took the time to listen carefully to the history of the problem and immediately recognized that it could be related to the aftermarket backup camera interface rather than the factory CUE system itself. Within minutes they identified that the camera interface settings had been changed, likely after a battery replacement, and corrected the configuration. The problem was resolved immediately. What impressed me most was that they didn't try to sell me unnecessary parts or repairs. They quickly diagnosed the actual cause, fixed it, and didn't even charge me for their time. That level of honesty, knowledge, and customer service is hard to find. I highly recommend Safe & Sound Mobile Electronics to anyone with automotive electronics, infotainment, or backup camera issues. I found an identical car to replace it, but it was missing the SiriusXM tuner. Jared and Michael at the Chantilly Safe and Sound Mobile Electronics made it right. I walked in without an appointment and I was told it would take an hour and a half. I believe I was out of there in less than an hour. After speaking with them, their expertise was obvious and their customer service was superlative. I am 71 and not easily impressed, however, I have now found my Go-To store. I had my two front windows tinted here at 35% which is MD state law. The display in their lobby was…read morelabeled "legal". I said I want it legal. Even my receipt said 35%. This means it should test at 35%. They are supposed to account for the tint in the factory windows. When I got my car inspected my tint was 31%. This caused my car to fail inspection. So I went back and all they would do is take it off. They would not replace their product with the correct tint and fix their mistake. Now I have to pay again to have my windows tinted correctly. This is simply my honest experience. I do not recommend. They respond to all complaints in a very defensive and condescending manner. They aim to discredit the customer when they have made a mistake. They have a history of not being honorable when anyone complains. Response- Why on earth would I make this up or lie? I never said you were being deceitful. You guys simply made a mistake which you are unable to admit to. You jump to a defensive posture and make false allegations against me. You resort to insults. At no point was I insulting towards you, but you can't help but react emotionally. Being in business for 28 years does not make you immune to mistakes. I'm not going to call you as you suggested. You had an opportunity to do the right thing but chose not to. So now I'm going to share my honest experience which is my right as a consumer.
