However, they have been under new management for a couple of months. All the previous providers have left the practice. I was never notified that my provider left the practice. In fact, photographs of my former provider and others are still on the webpage, so how was I to know they left? I never received a phone call or a letter in the mail. I found out about this recently when my insurance request requested a prior authorization. I went to their new website, and my provider wasn't listed. So I called to ask about this. The first time I called and the phone rang forever with no one picking up the phone. When I was finally able to get through, a young lady answered the phone. I told her about my situation with the prior authorization and she told me that my provider was no longer there. I was told that I had to come in and see a new provider and when I asked why , I was told have a nice day and then hung up on. I wasn't rude; I just had questions, like who my new provider is and why they need me to come in, since I just had an exam two months earlier. And I don't know why, but they called me back 10 minutes later and said they suddenly had an appointment for me the next morning. So I came in to see what was going on. My new provider was very young and I'm not sure how much experience they had. While they were nice, she informed me of the new policies. For example, they began charging for blood draws in the office that had previously been free. It was $35, and now it's down to $15; otherwise, I have to go to another location to have my blood drawn. They put an order for me to have my blood work drawn, even though I just had it drawn 6 to 8 weeks. I asked for a prior authorization which I was told they would do, but after two weeks, I went to my pharmacy and they said they never received one. The front desk used to be helpful, but recently when I went in, everybody was sitting around in a circle talking to each other, pretty much ignoring that I was there. This used to be a very warm, friendly practice that put the patient's needs first. Now, it seems this new management is very business-oriented, looking for ways to make more money at the expense of providing good customer service and focusing on my healthcare needs. I am now leaving this practice, which makes me sad. I feel very sorry for older people who go there. They probably don't know who their provider is anymore and will have to start over with a new provider from the beginning. It's hard to find a good medical practice for your routine healthcare these days, especially in Boca Raton, where everybody is moving towards concierge service. I wouldn't be surprised if this place goes out of business in the next year.

Don't come to this office looking for bells and whistles, technology or quick visits - you'll…read morelikely wait a good while to be seen and yes, it seems to be that most their charting and scheduling is still conducted on paper. With that said, this doctor is a rare gem - someone who truly cares about his patients and really knows his stuff. The reason you wait so long - yes, inconvenient - is because he takes his time to actually evaluate you and answer any and all questions. He provided my father with a more thorough physical assessment than his own geriatrician during his yearly physical. They even use manual blood pressure cuffs to get accurate readings (in both arms) and the DOCTOR is the one taking the measurements! The office staff can come off as abrasive, and I don't make excuses for that, but they do eventually warm up to you after a few visits. If you're looking for a quality specialist who is humble, knowledgeable and approachable - so long as you have the ability to spend some time in the waiting room - Dr. Gaier will take great care of you or your loved one.

After ten plus years with Dr P doctors do not return phone calls and the receptionists are now giving medical advice. Receptionists are rude and if you ask for an opinion other then theirs they hang up on you. Since Dr. P is out of the office their is no oversight on office matters. I am not paying for the receptionists medical opinion and that seems to be all you get as of late! After ten wonderful years with Dr P I am considering leaving due to these issues. I am deeply saddened and hope Dr P is well. At this time you cannot speak to Dr. P rather plan on getting medical advice from the rude main receptionist as well as being blocked from having any conversation with an actual psy professional! Again Dr P is absolutely wonderful but you are no longer working with him. In short plan on getting your medical advice from the receptionist not the doctors at this time! I am deeply disappointed over losing my excellent relationship with this most wonderful doctor and I sincerely hope he is well. As of this date, several days after requesting a call from a doctor....I am still waiting! I have only had this bad experience once before from the same receptionist years ago and Dr. P addressed the matter promptly. I have worked as a mediator in the customer service field for 30 plus years and have never experienced this horrific customer service anyplace else in my life! If this review rambles a bit it is due to my being extremely disappointed in a professional service that formerly was a ten of ten and now is a one of ten. The one is Indicating the business is open. Individuals seeking comfort and guidance from a physician are now blocked from the doctors! Poor poor disrespectful service is what you recieve now. How ironic that a mental health professional office is now being handled by a rude receptionist seemingly in dire need of probation level counseling herself! Why did I write this long review over a phone call? Answer: after ten plus years of excellent professional care this office has now become the opposite! I counted on doctor P's excellent input and now I have l lost this. Dr P where are you? Please pay attention to what is happening in your former office. I paid the money and got looked at (minor flu/cold). About a month later I got a bill in the mail saying they quoted me wrong in the system and now I owe them more money. The lady in the billing department is so damn rude. She transferred me back to the lady at the front who was the nicest of them all. I was then transferred to Dr.Kerr who automatically cut me off saying that her workers already told her what happened. She didnt even let me finish what I was saying. Dr. Kerr is so unprofessional and rude to her patient. Please stay away from this place. U might get a bill months later saying u owe them money. If I could give this place a negative star I would.
