I have been a patient of this practice for three years, but a recent incident of severe medical negligence and a complete lack of accountability has forced me to leave. During a routine 6-month physical, staff performed an EKG. Shortly after, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) informed me that I was actively having a myocardial infarction (a heart attack) and ordered me to rush to the ER. In a state of total panic, I went straight to Baptist Health ER, where they initiated full cardiac protocols, including blood work, x-rays, and monitoring. After a terrifying 45-minute wait, the ER physician reviewed the paperwork brought from Dr. Stein's office and discovered a glaring error: the second page of the report explicitly stated that the EKG leads had been placed on the wrong side of my body. It was a false positive caused entirely by staff incompetence. When I called the practice to report this, the NP was incredibly dismissive, stating, "My bad, I don't read those interpretation notes." I spoke with the Office Manager, who promised that she and Dr. Stein would follow up with me. It has now been two weeks. I have received zero follow-up, no apology, and they haven't even called to give me my routine blood work results. As a cancer survivor, regular blood monitoring is critical to my ongoing health. To completely ignore a patient after a traumatizing, costly, and entirely avoidable ER scare is unacceptable. Please be warned and protect your health--avoid this practice. read more

Dr. Stein is a pretty good doctor, but his is now a concierge practice. No payment; no respect for the patient. He might take you on, but your waiting times will be endless because every concierge patient, including those he visits, will be taken ahead of you, regardless of any appointment you might have. read more

Absolutely the WORST PATIENT SERVICE ever received from a Medical Professional. Arrived 4 MINUTES after the scheduled appointment and the staff said "he just walked out!!" Are you JOKING -- he has made us wait hours in the past to get in for the scheduled appointment. As a matter of fact, recently had an appointment and didn't get in to be seen until an hour later. Then, he actually left and didn't even do the appointment --- he pushed us off on a "nurse practitioner!" WHAT! I could not believe it. Then for this appointment arrived 4 MINUTES after the scheduled appointment and the staff said, "he just walked out!!" Asked, "Can you please call him on his cell as we drove over 30-minutes to get here and changed our entire schedule?" They did call him on his cell and he told them to tell us to reschedule!!! ARE YOU KIDDING! He wasn't even out of the building yet and he still left!!!! (to go to lunch!!!) Needless to say, immediately requested all of our medical records as will not stay with a Doctor who doesn't care about patient service. This is NOT the first time his TERRIBLE PATIENT SERVICE has happened. It has happened numerous times over the past few YEARS!!! That's right, been paying him for a few YEARS and he still treats patients this way. And we've heard from several other patients who all claim the same TERRIBLE MISTREATMENT and who have all left! This guy NEVER apologizes, NEVER admits he made a mistake or is at fault and always attempts to spin it with excuses and BS while always blaming patients! (Yes, the walls in his office are very thin and you can hear the way he talks about patients!) And just learned one of his former employees (who was great!) left him as she could no longer tolerate the way Jeffrey Stein chooses to run his business and mistreat patients! What does that say about him if patients and one of his top staff people leave because of his conduct? FYI - Yelp Reviews makes you give a 1-5 star review or it won't post. We DO NOT give Jeffrey Stein a 1-star review. We give him a big NEGATIVE ZERO (0) REVIEW!!! PS: Watch out for his BS "VIP Concierge Service" he tries "pitching" you on to get you to pay $1,497 to have what he calls "Priority Access." What a bunch of BS --- Nothing but a money-hungry way to attempt to con patients into paying for Patient Service that he is REQUIRED by the State Medical Board to already be providing! Total BS he tries shoveling!!! Can't believe he tries "selling" his patients on this total BS service that is NO DIFFERENT than his regular service! And what's sad is that he has many elderly patients who probably don't know any better and get conned into paying him $1,497 for NO REASON!!! (And it is NOT covered by medical insurance either!) A total CASH GRAB -- that's all he cares about!!! Think about it --- if 100 patients get manipulated into paying the $1,497 "priority access fee" he is putting an EXTRA $150,000 IN HIS POCKET EVERY YEAR!
