It's been two years since the installation and everything was and still is beautiful and working well. Given the 2 years lapse in time is the best quality indicator and greatest testament to this truly wonderful cabinet company. First and foremost, the family and crew are professional and wonderful. The total experience from design to installation left nothing to be desired as they were proactive, timely, competent and clean. Every interaction showed why a family run business is better than an impersonal box store. They asked questions for clarification rather than assume this is what we wanted. They had a "can do attitude" verses one full of excuses. The contractural agreement and payment schedule was straightforward and painless. I certainly would use them if I had to do it all over again but there is no need. Like I said, 2 years have passed and all is still very good! This is a truly custom shop doing amazing work! We had kitchen cabinets made and we were very impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship, the exceptional attention to details, and the superior customer service delivered by Casey, Ray, and their talented crew members. Lines and reveals are tight, uniform, and proportional. Paint job is superior to many others! It has held up well in the last year year and a half. As with any custom build, there were some unique challenges, and we had a request for a minor change here and there as our design evolved. Casey was attentive and creative in helping us in the process. He was always available to verify measurements to make sure our other trades could put stuff in the appropriate place (plumbing lines, outlets, etc). We are now 1+ years into living with the new kitchen, and even though it is of fairly modest size, we feel it has every amenity one could wish for, and facilitates ease in workflow as if it were much larger than it is! Andrews Fine Cabinets made this all possible, and they were easy to work with. We report zero problems as of 1.5 yrs of use. Doors and drawers still square and smooth. We recently purchased a home in Thousand Oaks and wanted a custom, built-in cabinet/bookcase for our living room to display books, family pictures and decorative items. Using Yelp as a guide, I contacted 6 local, custom cabinet makers to bid on the job. Five of them asked me to send pictures and dimensions of the space and told me they couldn't come out to see the job but would instead send an estimate with diagram if I provided measurements of the space. One company made an appointment to visit my home and discuss the project in person. Just a few days later, Ray and Casey Andrews came to my home, took pictures and measurements of the space, and discussed my project in great detail. These gentlemen are craftsmen and finish carpenters of the highest caliber. They submitted drawings and a cost estimate within two days after our meeting. Their pricing was fair -- a little more than some, less than others. Because they came to my home and expressed a genuine interest in the project and were easy to talk to and work with, I gave them the job. And was I ever happy I did! The project was completed in less than 3 weeks from estimate to completion. The team working in my home was very professional and highly skilled. The finished cabinet/bookcase required customization and they perfectly matched nearby cabinet doors in my kitchen. Beautiful cabinets at a reasonable price! Ray and his team helped us to design the cabinets for our kitchen remodel and the results are wonderful. Our old house had lots of issues (not square, not level, not straight), but this was not a problem for Andrews Fine Cabinets. Since the cabinets were custom, they fit our space and appliances precisely. The price was quite reasonable and there was no change at all from the price on the contract. I had the pleasure of working with Ray and his team on a full kitchen renovation and I whole-heartedly recommend Andrews Fine Cabinets and Millwork. From start to finish Ray provided insight while also making sure I was happy with the design, which included some special touches like floating wood shelves and bun feet under the cabinets. We were referred to Ray by our contractor when we recently completely renovated three bathrooms and our kitchen. The quality, configuration and functionality of the cabinets was extremely important to us. Ray had to work with the odd angles in our kitchen floor plan in order to give us maximum storage by adding carousels and a double pull out shelving unit utilize the space that was previously blank space. He was so patient and pleasant in working on this. He has a great eye for space design. The kitchen cabinets, drawers, and trash bins are perfect! I don't usually take the time to write reviews unless it's for outstanding work or really bad service. In this case, it was outstanding awesome work at a fair price. We started the kitchen remodel going down the Lowes/Home Depot route and then got Rays name from a friend. Glad we did.. for just about the same price... just a little more we got a better product. What I liked is that his help is trained and thinks just like Ray does. I never had to worry about his help if Ray left or I was not there. Most contractors will sell you thinking they will do the work but then send in a sub contractor that cares less about you and your house. Just slam and Jam get it in and get there money. I'm pretty picky and hard to please guy that only wants the work done right the first time with top notch results at a fair price.I don't care if nobody will see it. I know whatever was covered up or hidden will still be there. I also like that i didn't have to stand over Rays help making sure they have the same vision as Ray. That is hard to find.. no short cuts, if something is not right he will ask before making that change. Most contractors will just change it and hide it or hope you don't notice until they leave. I had a lot of contractors come into the house for a whole house and backyard remodel and not once did i worry about Ray. He is the one of the good guys that does what he says he will do. He will be doing our front bathroom vanity and more work to come. We purchased new drawer fronts for our kitchen and bath remodelings. We asked Ray if he could do the replacement for the kitchen drawers as the entire drawer-box needed a new front (more than a standard DIY project) he gave us an inexpensive bid and turned them around quickly. Ray helped us design and build a beautiful kitchen in our new home this Spring. As a son of a GC who has built multimillion dollar buildings to high end homes in the heart of Hollywood Hills, the attention to detail and finish of the work is one of my most important buying decisions and Ray and his team knocked it out of the park. A very honest, transparent and successful experience for us...where for some it's a total nightmare. We did our research...we ran away from those that were "too good to be true," and steered very clear of the commercial contractors who simply pump and dump (which I have at my disposal). I have already referred them to a neighbors home and they are extremely happy, so our home wasn't the one that turned out well, it's consistent, a huge plus. Cabinets and millwork in general have been commoditized by big retailers and China-facilities alike, but true carpentry and handwork cannot.
