As a property manager I recently had the opportunity to remodel two similar rental unit kitchens. I really wanted to put in durable, attractive, reasonably priced countertops. For the first unit I used a company out of LA that had advertised low prices and good stock. Only problem was they sent a substandard piece. They agreed to bring another but of course it was another few days to get them back n forth from LA meanwhile everyone else was waiting on the countertops. Our awesome designer, Rachel Laney, of Penny Lane Design, referred us to Pacific Stoneworks. She has worked with them for years and highly recommended them. Our cabinet contractor, Calif Designer's Choice, also praised their work. We recently used PS to fabricate and install our master bath, guest bath, and kitchen countertops. The countertops fit perfectly and are flawless! My only note of caution is to make sure your contractor cuts out and sets your sink(s) and cooktop in the cabinet sub-tops before PS comes to your home to make their template. According to our contractor, not all fabricators require this, and because we were not told this and it is not in their contract, neither you nor your contractor would necessarily know this. Our contractor did not, and when PS came to make their template we were told they would not make it without the cut outs done even though we had our sinks and cook top. We then had to reschedule which caused a delay in the completion of our projects. In hindsight, I think I understand why they require this, but if its true that not all fabricators require this, they should advise their clients up front so there's no confusion or delay. Other than this issue, I highly recommend PS. read more

I met with Pacific Stoneworks before, during, and after my most recent project. I was very impressed with the professionalism and the quality of work of the company. Each step of the way they were extremely straightforward and helpful. I was especially impressed by the fact that they called and requested I come in when they had a concern with the granite I had chosen for our project. The stone we selected was a little more rustic and did not have the smooth as glass finish that some people are looking for from granite. Knowing stone we intentionally chose this particular granite for the unusual colors and finish I was happy that they took the time to bring their concerns to my attention because it's important to be frank with clients. One of the other things I found impressive is that Pacific Stoneworks uses the latest digital templating technology. We were able to do the entire granite layout in the comfort of a conference room. The results are amazing! For example, the electrical outlet boxes in the backsplash came out in the "exact place" they were supposed to be, and our sink is exactly where it's supposed to be! Our finished project looks magnificent!!! I highly recommend Pacific Stoneworks to anyone looking for a reputable stone fabricator. read more

It's been a few weeks since Pacific Stoneworks installed our kitchen and bathroom counter tops for our remodeling project, and I am happier and happier each day with the outcome. The company's customer service is top; clear communication, careful listening to needs, and good scheduling. Their products, two different colored quartz, are superb. The kitchen and bathroom are completely transformed. The installation was perfect, the seams near invisible. They even gave us for free a slab of travertine for an outdoor table top extending from kitchen window to make full use of window sliding screen, although of course we paid for polishing and installation. We met David in the showroom where he was able to go over all the options we had for bathroom counter tops that would work w our design aesthetic. He had great ideas and we were able to move forward quickly w the next steps. The guys that came out to create the digital template were awesome. Measured both projects quickly and accurately. When it came time for install everything was perfect and the guys did a beautiful job. Left the bathrooms spotless and gave us info on how to best clean our stone. I have never written a review before, but my experience was SO BAD that I feel compelled to let others know. I ordered 2 identical master bath countertops and 1 guest bath countertop (remnant). When they came to measure they did not bring the sinks, so they said they couldn't measure. Weeks later they brought 3 identical countertops instead of the different guest bath countertop, then tried to blame us for an incorrect order. When we produced the order, they then tried to blame our interior designer. The workmen told us they were told it was an internal mistake. They found the remnant which clearly was marked with our name. Instead of immediately correcting their error, we went to the end of the line and waited WEEKS for the new countertop that was their error. When they finally arrived to install, there was no backsplash which was clearly ordered and they (after all that time) forgot, they once again were more interested in who was to blame than fixing the problem. Meanwhile the installers gouged the newly painted wall during installation. Once again we waited WEEKS for the backsplash! Our designer said she was having similar problems with another client's order. I've done at least 3 remodels before and was never treated as egregiously by anyone else. These folks MIGHT be $$$ gougers. Wanted to buy rem, an irregular 30"+/- by 30"+/- possible countertop, nothing special slab. They would not be coming to the site. I would take the plywood cut out to them, and I would do all the transportation. Understandable, it is a small job. They would only bid the complete fab originally at $730, after discussion reduced to $660. Eventually got the price rem contributed to the fab $175, $28 PSF. An entire useable slab, which is typically 9' by 5' of same material, $995 elsewhere, $22 PSF. The upshot, if this is what they charge for a jagged 30" by 30" rem, I would watch out. read more
