A more common scenario is for the server to ask if you want these additional ingredients when they take the order. They will charge you extra (on top of their already high prices) if you pay with a credit card. This same bartender didn't share this detail with me until I asked why my bill wasn't the price listed in the menu. When I expressed disappointment and asked for a receipt so I could go to the cashier to pay with cash, she made the comment "I don't make the rules". Both serve AMAZING prime rib. But tonight we thought, "You know what? Let's branch out. Let's try the Windmill again! It was GREAT a few years ago!" That was our first mistake. We didn't have reservations and they were packed, so we sat in a booth on the bar side. Fair enough. Busy restaurant, Saturday night vibes, whatever. We can be patient. Ten minutes go by before we get WATER. Another ten minutes before anyone comes over to take our drink and food order. Then we wait. And wait. And WAIT. Nearly an HOUR later, our food finally arrived. At this point I assumed they had gone out back, located the cow, negotiated the terms of its surrender, processed it, and THEN started cooking our dinner. Surely after an hour, this prime rib was going to absolutely SLAP. Friends. It did not slap. It barely tapped. I ordered the prime rib, but what arrived tasted like a ham steak wearing a fake mustache trying to sneak into the beef section. The texture was bizarre. The flavor was bizarre. The entire thing was having an identity crisis. I kept looking at it like, "Sir... are you SURE you're prime rib?" Meanwhile, my son ordered the "Prime Top Cut Sirloin."
