While visiting town, I was craving something sweet before heading back to my hotel, and Yelp led me to this spot. It was easy to find, and there was no line when I arrived. However, I did experience a slight delay at the register as the cashier caught up with a friend ahead of me--it actually took longer for them to finish their conversation than for me to place my order and receive my frozen concrete custard. Because of that, I have to deduct a star. Aside from that, the customer service was friendly, quick, and efficient. I ordered a small "Ooey Gooey," which included almonds, caramel cream, and Heath bar pieces. I also added banana, as I love it in both ice cream and smoothies. The portion size was generous, and I finished it before I even made it back to my hotel. It was well-mixed and delicious. My total came to about $8, which is on the higher side, but I can see why this place is so popular. I'd definitely visit again the next time I'm in Bossier City! read more

So we decided to come to Andy's after a night of adventure with the kids. When we arrived there was another family with kiddos on the outside finishing with their order. Now the gentleman at the window wasn't very welcoming from what we could see talking to the other family. Unclear if anything happen before we arrived but his attitude and lack of came over to our family. Ken K or Kim K should take a class on customer service. No greeting, no smile, no thank you nothing. He just stood there in complete silence, head half down as if we were bothering him or disturbed his peace. We allowed the children to order they were chipper and to the point, polite, basically knew exactly what they wanted no issues. We stood off away from the window to give others their space to order and just not crowd the area. After a few minutes i noticed the young man standing Ken K at the window with cups in front of him yet he didn't say anything . After a few more minutes I said he i think that's ours. Well it was , so i politely asked him hey how do you all go about letting customers know their order is ready. I expressed to him i seen him just standing no single or call out to let us know. No biggie but i asked the process being it was my first time so i would know the next time. He just looked at me for a while and i asked again. He then says oh he was talking to me so thats why I didn't say anything to you all... ummm you were facing us the entire time when i noticed the cups. Anyways I said okay thank you after he handed me my ice cream.. the then slammed the window, walked to the coworkers in the back said something to them and they all looked directly at me and one young lady started laughing. I then signaled for someone to come to the window. A pleasant gentleman whom said he was the manger by the name of Rio, was very understanding, graceful and actually listened. As i told him, we didn't give the young man a hard time, was respectful, paid , no argument or issues. Yet his customer and lack of was distasteful. Thank you Rio for your amazing customer service. It had nothing about getting anything free or giving someone a hard time it's treat people the way you want to be treated and if you don't like people or allow one situation to cause you to cast judgement on others please find another job. read more

A new arrival to a town that surprisingly does not have frozen custard otherwise (in neighboring Mississippi it's quite common). This place has a drive through, but I parked and walked up to the window. After all, I wanted to eat at one of the tables there, rather than get in my car and try to find somewhere decent to eat in a sea of strip malls with a rapidly melting dessert. They have a detailed menu, including (somewhat scarily) calorie counts, and I selected a banana split. One tip of the banana was a tad bruised, but other than that it was an impressive creation with plenty of fruit and a sprinkle of peanuts. The custard was pretty straightforward; it soaked up the flavor of candied cherry well but didn't blow me away by itself. The place does offer some flavored ice if you can't do dairy or egg. Yes this place can get expensive if you go very often but their frozen custard is soooo good. Personally, I have found that for the best experience you want to keep it more simple. In my opinion they always use high quality fresh ingredients for their mix-ins and add-ons but be sure to let the custard be the star. For example, we recently got their limited time canolli concretes and we were all disappointed in them and didn't finish them. Everything was ok it it but they had so many big canolli pieces and ground pistachio powder that they were barely cold and not smooth and creamy, very little custard in them. I guess they were made right. Be careful adding marshmallow creme to something because you may end up with a huge glob and not much concrete. Limited time peach dream is good with fresh-tasting peach in it, not the expected blah canned stuff. I think their summer key lime is ok but needs more lime flavor.They don't carry all the soda flavors at this location but they have the standard ones. Coke floats are yummy. I'll often get a simple vanilla concrete with a little hot fudge. So good! I really like the snow monster too which has strawberries and bits of chocolate. I have always been very happy with the friendliness of all the employees and they produce the orders at amazing speeds. I have noticed varying amounts in the serving cup levels as well as how much addins they put in...which as I previously mentioned can sometimes to be too much for me. Bottom line though, best ice cream/custard type dessert in this area. Try them out! read more

My husband and I frequent Andy's often. However, the employees can't seem to get things sorted out when a customer has a loyalty card and then puts that card on the Andy's app. There's been two disconnects in the past 3 weeks, one with my husband and now one with me. Our cards would say we have enough points for a $5 reward but then the check in code will say "inactive" on their POS. So we've had issues with that. Then last week both our orders were wrong. The excuse was that they were training a lot of new hires. I was given a couple treat cards due to that. However, last night was the final straw. At this point, I'd say this is our sign that we need to no longer be customers anymore. Employees were nice but it's just been little inconvenience after another lately. We never had issues like this before in Oklahoma. Do what you will. This was just my unfortunate experience at the Bossier City location. read more

Five stars are rare for me, but after experiencing Andy's in Missouri, we were excited to hear they were coming to Bossier City. It's an unusual setup, with folks coming to your car window to take your order. A menu board is visible in the drive up line. Inside seating is unavailable at this Andys, but other locations do have indoor service. Tired of in house dining due to the Corona virus, this was a beautiful day before Easter and a mental and spiritual lift. Judy ordered vanilla Frozen custard mixed with strawberries, size medium. It is a very rich, delicious combination that will not and did not disappoint. I normally order a medium or large butter pecan, but this trip I did not as I had just ordered and eaten from the restaurant that shares a driveway. I regretted that choice as the butter pecan custard is soooo rich and delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, you owe it to yourself to try this place out.
