Andy's is a place that I always pay a visit to when I'm in Springfield. The custard is consistently creamy and delicious. When it comes to deciding what to get, there are so many "favorites" here that it is a painful decision to settle on one. Peanut butter cup concrete, Ozark Turtle Sundae (hot fudge, caramel, pecans, cherries), and the Strawana (fresh strawberries, bananas) are my top 3. The service is efficient and friendly with a drive thru and a walk up window. They even have heaters going on the colder months by the walk-ups. The only things that are an annoyance are the prices and the inability to purchase gift cards online. The closest Andy's to me is 6 hours away, so it would be nice to purchase gift cards for people when I'd like to. Though I now live in Chicago I'm from Springfield, MO and Andy's has been a part of my life for twenty two years...that's a couple of years longer than I've known my husband! This location is on the south side of town and easy to hit when I'm heading to my cousin's house in Nixa. The staff is friendly and the service is always quick even when there are hordes of people waiting in line. My love affair started with the Ozark Turtle and then I started cheating on the turtle with the caramel pretzel crunch and it kind of took over and became my main crush....we've been together a long time now. While people says Culver's is just as good, I'd say certain items are better there, but at Andy's the overall custard is better at a base level comparison.
