I called Andy's for a minor repair and a salt cell clean. They immediately sent Kyle out to give me an estimate. 5 days after the estimator came out, I had to call the company to get the price - estimator hadn't called. The company had him get in touch me with the price which was reasonable, but he quickly added it would be 3 to 5 weeks out. It was April 27th, so no worries. I asked him to put us on the schedule and then for a quote to see if they did stain removal on vinyl liners. Again, no estimate, so I called the company and Kyle emailed back, we don't do that. I asked if we on the still on the schedule and he said yes for Thursday or Friday of the week of May 14th. We haven't heard or seen their people yet. The service is terrible. They are dishonest. More to follow but I've spent over two thousand dollars to repair the damage and negligence from their work. It will cost me even more over time. They charged me to clean filters that needed replacing. They charged me for pump service on a pump that needed replacing. I switched to Pool Pals and all my problems were resolved. I was a pool maintenance customer for many years. but within the last few months,, service has been awful. Andys is fine with the weekly pool maintenance, but when things go wrong ... they are unorganized, seem to have staffing issues, and lack accountability. I literally had to call or text them every day for over a month to ask when my repair would be done. They only finally did the repair when a VIP friend called the owner. I have been with them for maybe a year. They are slow with repairs, not very good about following up. My Polaris was broken for almost 7 months. They do not vacuum the pool every service visit even though they are supposed to and they let algae grow in my pool and allowed my pump to break even though the tech is out there EVERY week. The technicians tossed chemicals into my pool and stained my pool floors. Now Richard will be meeting me on Monday to see how he will remedy this so I will keep you updated. This might be the worst pool company we have ever used. This was their last opportunity. We told them on Wednesday were we're having a party on Saturday. We expect our pool to always be clean and usable since we pay them for that! What a joke! But we gave them a heads up anyway. Pool is green and gross. Saturday comes. They said it was unsafe to swim because filter needs to be replaced and other guy does that. Are you kidding me. So on top of everything, we started heating the pool on Wednesday so it would be perfect for our kids! read more

We have used them for more than a year for regular weekly service. They do a good job at that, but I would not recommend them for equipment repair services. We have not had a working pool heater for seven weeks now, after multiple visits and repairs. I have spent a lot of money on new parts and have been assured many times by their techs that, "it will work fine this time." But each time, it doesn't. And then they do not get in a hurry to come out and fix their mistakes - it's always, "we will put you on the schedule to come out and take a look," which basically means we'll see you sometime in the next couple of weeks. I'm going to have another company come out and just install a new heater - because I really am not confident Andy's techs could do that the right way based on our experience with them. read more

I've used Andy's for more than 10 years, and they were tremendously helpful in working the kinks out of my new pool. For most of that time, they were very responsive. Out in a couple days; same week at worst. But over the last year or so, their response times have become longer and longer. As long as three weeks. They won't give you a specific day when they are coming out -- "we'll try to get somebody out there next week" -- which doesn't happen. Average visit time is down to 20 minutes to half hour -- often addressing the symptoms, but not the cause. Have found myself fixing the same problems over and over. Seems pretty obvious that they give priority to weekly maintenance customers -- with people like me, who maintain their own pools, fit in as they can. So, with regret, have had to move on to a new company. read more

Andys pool service purchased my original service and continued weekly servicing of my pool for approximately two years now. My son was swimming in the pool when he noticed things were in the water he had never seen. At that point there was a greenish tint to the water. I called Andys and explained the situation. Each week I get test results saying all chemicals are perfect. I questioned this and requested someone from the company other than the weekly service person come test the water which they agreed. I called again a couple days later. They said someone would be there that day. I asked who and they said the same person. NOT happy as I specifically asked for another person. I collected a sample from my pool and took it to Atlas to test the water. It turned out the water had almost no chlorine or salt. Also other chemicals were way off and pool was growing algae. I called Andys and terminated the service. I contacted another service company that came and corrected everything. He also discovered dirty filters as well and many neglected items that should have had attention. Very frustrating! My suggestion is have your water tested independently and double check their work. read more

Andy's does a FANTASTIC job. Admittedly we have a difficult pool that is hard to keep clean. Since Andy's has taken over there has no been a day the pool wasn't sparkling. Their customer service is great. We had a small leak in one of the pumps and they had someone out there to take care of it within 30 mins with a follow up visit the next morning to replace the part. Andy's has serviced our pool for years. I tried the one man shops in the past, but really prefer the service levels and the attention to detail Andy's offers. There's more to keeping a pool in tip top shape then just having someone clean it. Great service and I highly recommend. I used 3 different companies before I found Andy's. As someone else noted, if you are not their weekly customer, they don't really want to work on your pool. It's getting with the pool services like these guys that unless you sign up for a year of weekly pool servicing they have no interest in assisting you. I guess the pool business is the place to be now that everyone refuses doing any repairs now except for their weekly customers. At least they were up front about it. read more

Very disappointed in this company. I hired them to maintain my pool last spring and they did a decent job. This week I called to tell them that I'm ready to close down my pool for the year and my account rep Lauren told me that was no problem and that someone would be at my house the following Monday or Tuesday to shut down my pool. This afternoon one of the companies managers called me and tried to twist my arm into keeping my pool open for the year and keeping them on to service it. When I explained that I wasn't going to continue to pay $250 a month to maintain a pool in cold weather he flat out told me they don't close pools down and that they would no longer be my pool maintenance company if I decided to close my pool. What kind of company does this? I'm stunned that I'm even writing this post other than to warn others about doing business with with this company. Bottom line is if you want a mediocre and very expensive company that forces you to keep you pool open in cold weather go with Andy's Pool Service otherwise please choose someone else. read more

Andy's was already servicing the home that we purchased in March. The previous homeowner spoke well of them and since it's the first home I purchased with a pool, thought it was best to stay with the current vendor. One of the owners came out to personally meet me and made me feel comfortable that staying with them was the right way to go. We finally found a resoanbly priced, highly customer service driven pool company who is honest and up front about our pool needs. I have been impressed with the quality of service received. We moved to the Atlanta area about a year ago and wanted a pool to enjoy. The first few months we tried to maintain it ourselves, but with 2 small kids, full time working parents, it was just too large a task. I attempted the first pool company which turned from a weekly rate into additional expenses each visit and when I questioned why we needed more "work" there was a fee associated to tell me why. It felt like a money grab. So, I tried company number 2, who did a great job, but when my pooled turned green I never could get anyone. They had an answering service and never returned calls. I wanted a pool company to maintain the pool, answer when there is an issue and allow us just to enjoy the pool. Thankfully, like their logo says, we do the swimming and they do the rest!!!
