I've trusted Andy's Shoe Repair with my shoes more than once, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. I'm genuinely happy that neighborhood businesses like this are still around because quality craftsmanship is becoming harder to find. This time I brought in two pairs of lambskin ballet flats and one pair of slingback heels. Since lambskin is such a delicate leather, I don't trust just anyone with them. He resoled my older flats, added protective rubber soles to my new pair to help prevent wear, and polished my slingback heels until they looked beautiful. One thing I really appreciate is that he takes the time to explain what he recommends and why. I always leave feeling confident that my shoes are getting the best care possible. His pricing is fair, especially considering the quality of the work. I believe that if you invest in quality shoes, you should invest in maintaining them too. A good rubber sole can add years to the life of your favorite pair, and I'd much rather preserve my shoes than replace them. While I loved the shoes, the original heel was too narrow and uncomfortable for me to wear for several hours. I asked Andy if he could replace the heel with a wider block heel, and he did an outstanding job. The workmanship is exceptional--the new heel perfectly matches the shoe and looks like it was part of the original design. I took my Louis Vuitton for Repair in the past his father, Mr. Senior Andy did a good job but now his son took over and did a horrible job. He did not want to return my money because I prepaid. I trusted this man. It took three months to repair my purse and he Cut two area that wasn't there before when I try to bring it to his attention, he got annoyed. It was being very unprofessional. He did not want it. Give me my money back. He had a call his father and he only reimburse 150. The total of the Repair was 450. I'm stuck with the Purse that is no longer repairable. After my first trip to Andy's (after the owner did such a great job with the my previous customization request) I ripped the branded heel loop from forcing my feet into my boots too hard lol. So of course I had to bring them into Andy's to get them fixed. Andy quoted me and I picked it up later that week. I think it was a fair price and he would hook me up by cleaning the shoes for free. Each time he cleans them up they basically look entirely new lol. My matte boots look like an entirely new pair of Docs! There was a small hiccup when I picked up my boots, (it was not fully assembled just yet) but Andy was very polite about it and it was easily forgivable. My cat bit the back strap off of my kitten heels the day before I was supposed to wear them to a wedding! I called and they told me to bring the shoes and they'd see what they could do. A long time ago, I had 2 pairs of shoes repaired, one flat and one sandal. I loved both pairs and they don't sell this brand anymore so I got the soles repaired. It was pricey but worth it to me. Let me start by saying my mom has been coming here for years and swears Andy's is the best place around. I went in late Thursday to have the soles of my heels replaced. Thankfully he was able to get this done by Saturday before they closed . Great shop that looks well stocked and the people are friendly, but I would agree with previous reviewers that said this place is EXPENSIVE! I went in looking to add a protective sole to my heels, a service I do quite often and am in the process of doing more now that we're going out more, and they charged me over twice of what I usually pay! I didn't go through with the service so I can't attest to the quality of their work or checkout process. I was in the area to visit family and decided I might as well get my shoes soled here in San Jose as I thought it would be cheaper than where I live in the city. I've gotten my shoes soled at other places in the area that were pretty reasonably priced! Imagine my shock when I saw that the total came out to $140 for two pairs of heels. I asked for a refund (shown in the attached image, left receipt) and instead went to my usual guy in the city where he was able to do the same exact job for half the price (also shown in the attached image, right receipt). He does an amazing job and he picks up and delivers your shoes for free. But besides that, the employees are nice and explained that they price at market rate. They mentioned that it should be more expensive in the city (I thought so too) but as you can tell by my receipts, that's wrong. They gave me back my refund with no complaint which I'm super grateful for! read more

Really liked this place! Wanted to put some protective soles on my shoes and Andy was able to do them flawlessly. Though it was quite expensive, it's good to protect them now rather than try to fix them later. Cost was $70 to put them on my shoes. Was ready in about 3 days. I came in on a Saturday and mentioned they'd be ready by Tuesday. I never got a call on Tuesday so I just picked them up on the following Saturday.
