Came here to alter a bridesmaid dress... Asked the lady to hem the length a little and tighten. She KEPT stating that the dress could not be tightened..when the dress was so loose... She ended up cutting off just a centimeter off the length and charged me $50... Then got mad at me that I came late to pick up the dress... what kind of customer service is that? On the day of my friend's wedding, the other bridesmaids all came with their dresses tightened, said it was no problem...i was the only bridesmaids that had to worry about her boobs popping out all day because it was so loose on top.... due to the lady's laziness... Angel is a sweet lady and her work is impeccable. It's a small operation and can be difficult to find at first (its located in a small office complex that's not well marked and you'll have to search a bit to find her unit), but the results are worth the minor inconvenience. So far, I've had the sleeves on two of my blazers shortened and that cost me $50, plus $2 for using my debit card. I came in on a Thursday afternoon and she had my blazers ready by Saturday at 4pm. It's hard for me to find clothing that fits me right off the rack (I'm 5'5 and 130lbs), so finding a good tailor was important to me. Angel has earned my trust and I plan on taking my dress pants and jeans to her for a hem and maybe a slimming. read more

This review has been long overdue....I am seriously surprised that there are any negative reviews about Angel Alteration at all! Angel is amazing at what she does and she has the personality to match her talent. I first went to Angel in May of 2016 to have a long lace dress altered for a Gala. She adjusted the waistline and the hem for me. My boyfriend also came with me at that time because he too needed his tuxedo pants hemmed. We were both super happy with the results, and she had it done in less than 5 days for us, which was impressive. She's fast! Fast forward one year, to May of 2017. My sister and I needed two mint green long gowns altered at the hem. With our previous pleasant experience with Angel, i suggested we go to Angel! The problem here was that we got the dresses way too close to the event and now we needed it it done in one week's time! We told Angel about our situation and told her we understood if she will be unable to do it. Although she had already been really busy with several wedding parties, she agreed to do it anyway, and still got it both dresses done in 4 days! She also gives a lot of input and suggestions about how to wear an outfit and what alterations are and are not necessary. Her customer service is truly outstanding. Angel is wonderful and works magic with altering/tailoring clothes. I brought my wedding dress to her, and she altered it perfectly in terms of length and the fit. I was so nervous because I couldn't afford anyone to mess up the alterations but through the process she was wonderful. She was easy to reach every time I called. I didn't have to make specific appointments - just confirmed the date I'd be there and she'd be ready. I didn't have to confirm a specific time to be there that day, which was great because I was doing the fittings during my lunch breaks and needed the flexibility. I had about 3-4 fittings for the dress. The business is a owned by her alone. She herself does all the alterations. Her place is a simple "mom and pop" place so its nothing fancy. Her prices aren't fancy either which is great - she completed my dress for a fraction of what I was quoted at other places. She was very open with me and gave me advice, which I'm glad I took - I wanted to have her pull my dress more in, but she urged me to not. Glad I listened to her bc the dress fit great and it doesn't collect all my back fat and armpit fat hahaha. I also wanted cap sleeves added - she noted that the back was far down that if she adds the sleeves, it may look awkward in the back. That part i never thought about and she was right. I used to come here all the time for all my alterations and over the years it's gotten more expensive and worse. I brought 4 pair of jeans, 4 dresses and a jacket and she messed up 2 pair of pants, 2 dresses and my jacket sleeves. I'm so pissed off. One of my dress strap was so uneven that I can't even wear it anymore. I wanted her to shorten the jacket sleeves and move one of the bottom up higher and she basically just cut the jacket sleeve and sewed all the buttons shut so now I can't unbutton any of them. My 2 pair of jean legs were so uneven it's obvious. Thanks lady my newly u worn clothes are now ruin because of your shitty expensive alteration job. I will never ever come here again. After a bit of Yelping for a good tailor in the Anaheim/Fullerton area, I resolved to try this spot out. As a birthday gift to my little bro, I brought in three suit jackets, which needed to be altered for a slimmer fit, and one needed the sleeves brought up a bit as well. I also had three pairs of jeans I wanted hemmed. I came in with no appointment, and Angel immediately made time for us. She has got to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met.... Seriously, her smile is contagious, and I get the vibe that she loves what she does. I went into another room to change into the jeans to determine the right length, and she quickly got to work. Same with my brother's suits. She pinned them and made sure they were on the same page in terms of what he wanted done. She assured both of us that she would do a fantastic job and make us happy.... And after picking up the finished garments today, we are totally thrilled. Hemming jeans isn't rocket science, but still... She did a great job. She matched the hem to the rest of the seams, and the lengths were perfect. As for my brothers suits, wow. Angel does beautiful work. One jacket was a thick tweed, and I can't imagine that it was as easy as the others, but everything looked flawless. At $45 per jacket, her prices are very competitive, so I was over the moon. I can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work, and she was so happy to hear I'd be back. I already have 4-5 tops set aside to bring to Angel. Great customer service! And great work on tailoring! I'd definitely recommend her for tailoring. I gave her my work pants to be taken in (tapered) and hemmed. They look great. Gave her some more pants after she passed the test. I'm picky with pants but they look really good. Tapering is $10 and hemming was $4. Pretty cheap. I even had to come early one day for pick up because I forgot to pick them up the night before and she came in an hour early just for me! Such a sweet lady. She has a nice changing room also, very clean. PARKING: The place was weird to find. Just look for the building, it looks like an apartment complex, but on the side of it she has her banner. Once you park just find an opening from the parking area into the building and you'll see a lot of other businesses in there. A little weird but fine once you figure it out. read more

Oh my little legs couldn't be happier! I have been cursed with having shorter legs then most therefore, shopping for jeans is always difficult, especially if the store doesn't carry petite leg lengths as a option. After doing some Summer "spring cleaning" i found and I hate to admit it but a couple pair of jeans still with tags on them in my closet that had been sitting around waiting to be hemmed so they would fit correctly. However, not being originally from the area growing up i did not know who to turn to and whom i could trust with some of my more expensive pairs of jeans. So i turned to YELP and i found Angel, and let me say like most people say in their reviews she is one herself. She is the sweetest lady ever and is running what looked to me like her own little business all by herself and she is doing amazing at it. Angel Alteration's is located on the inside of the building structure, not hard to find, and is a very quaint and small place, she has two rooms in which you can change into your clothes that she is fitting you for. She also provides a small variety of shoes you can try on when getting your pants hemmed for correct measurement. (suggestion: for any alteration to be done correctly, i suggest bringing the shoes in which you plan on wearing with you to the fitting, however if you don't by chance Angel has it covered).When she was fitting me, she really seemed to know her stuff and i couldn't help but feel at ease and comfortable. I got three pairs of pants machine hemmed and a sweater vest in which the pockets were torn hand sown for $22. She greets you with a smile and you will definitely leave with one. I had never gotten anything altered before, but after losing 30 pounds, I found myself unable to find a dress that fit quite right. I ordered a dress online for a wedding that ended up being far too large, and I didn't have enough time to go find a new dress. I found Angel on Yelp and gave her a call to see if she could get my dress done by a certain date. She said yes, so off I went! She had me put on the dress, I showed her the problem areas, and she pinned the dress long the sides to get it to fit the way I wanted it to fit. I took off the dress and she quoted me $25 to have it done by Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon rolls around, and I go to pick up the dress. It fits BEAUTIFULLY! She was able to successfully hide an unflattering belly roll that I had pointed out during the fitting, and she got the dress to fit better along the waist. The seams were re-done masterfully. I was floored with what a wonderful job she did. I threw a tip on top of the overall charge just because I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was to have such a beautiful job done on my dress. She is a very sweet lady, and her warm smile lights up the room. It was a pleasure working with her. I very highly recommend her. I've had Angel work on 2 Ted Baker suits for me now, and both have come out amazingly well. I have an awkward build for most off the rack suits. My shoulders are about a 40 but my waist is more of 31-32; so plenty of work must be done to get it just right. My first suit was screwed up by a different tailor who brought in the waist of my coat too far in, causing a skirt-like effect. Not the dapper look I was going for. She was able to fix everything he did wrong and saved what would've been a huge waste of money. I learned my lesson and brought my second suit brought straight to her. It's important to note that her pricing is absurdly reasonable, and by that i mean she doesn't charge jack shit compared to most of places that will do the same thing. Seriously. She's so affordable I did a double take when she quoted me. She shortened the sleeves, brought them in, tapered the chest and waist, and hemmed the trousers; it cost less than half as much as the previous tailor I used. Not only that, she did this with short notice as I leave for a destination wedding soon. Tip: she's always really busy and ends up working 7 days a week. If you give her extra time to finish working she'll really appreciate it. read more

I came here because of all the good reviews, so even though the building and parking lot seemed a little off I was confident in the service I would receive. However, she ruined my dress cutting it too short and made me come back multiple times to "fix" it. However, it was never fixed and she yelled at me for her mistake. I opted for London style, inch up off the ankle to show the socks. This suit needed lots of work. I did not want to look like Steve Harvey hosting Family Fued. Angel was exceptional, she did not balk at any of my cuts that I had asked for and accepted the job graciously. Next day is come back, the suit is tailored to perfection. Despite this, I had to wait until 10:20am before anyone even got there to open the store. It wasn't the owner/seamstress who opened though, it was her assistant/apprentice(?) who didn't seem to comprehend that people show up at 10am because that's when they say they open. She then proceeded to call her boss (the owner) & informed me that she wouldn't be in until 12pm. I mean really?! Are you kidding me?! And if for some reason I'm not happy, I take it back and she fixes it for free (only happened once). Try her, you won't regret it! And because I like to know prices, 3.99 for a hem and $12 for tapper (bring pants in from the bottom so they dont look bell bottoms). I purchased a custom made dress from the Internet and when I received the item I was heart broken. The sewing quality was poor and the dress was much larger than the measurements given. It was a disaster. With only a few days until the event I took the dress to Angel and hoped for a miracle. Speaking with her I could tell she was experienced, she gave me spacfics on how she would need to alter the dress and took me back to try on the dress and mark/ pin it to make sure I would have a good fit. I went to the shop this morning to pick up the dress. It fit like a glove and she repaired the mistakes the original maker had made improving the quality of the dress.
