She knows what shes doing, but make sure you're clear in what you want because she knows how to style/wear certain items. She might adjust it to how it's supposed to be worn if you do not specify how you want it. I am Korean so I was able to converse with her in Korean, but she understands enough english to speak in it. Koreans are usually 'efficient' but it can look hasty (just fyi, it's nothing personal). Price depends on what you're asking to be altered, but it was worth it! read more

I requested the jean hemmed with original hem. Prepaid $15. When I get back there, I found my jean shortened without original hem. WTH? The owner apologized and look for the cut parts. Luckily they found the bottom and I came back few days later. The way they shorted was disappointing. The side line of the jean was crooked. read more

I've brought this flannel in twice now because they initially hemmed the length too short and had to re-sew the fabric back on. But when they did, it came out uneven. I mentioned this to the owner and the she gave me attitude and snatched the clothing away from me telling me I shouldn't complain and to come back another week to pick it back up. I took the item back because I didn't want to deal with her attitude again. Secondly, this was not finished by the designated pick up date (which was 3 days ago). In my opinion, if you're going to do alterations on someone else's clothing, do it correctly so that you don't ruin their apparel. I will never return here again and it really took all of me to not tell her off in her store. read more

Greetings- Been getting my alterations here for years and never had a compliant. I do thank the worker that helped me with my jeans. My wife has always complained about my oversized jeans and how long it always was. I dropped off all my jeans this past weekend and asked for my sizing which I hope it turns out good. I came to pick up my dress and from the start the lady was rude. She handed me my dress and as i was walking out she yelled out "wait". I went back to the counter and she tried to tell me that it wasn't my dress and i explained to her that it was. She didn't believe me because they put the wrong name tag on my dress. She then went to get her phone and the whole time she was looking back at me like if i was trying to steal the dress. She then calls the number on the tag and when she found out it was my dress and she messed up she didn't even hand me the dress or say anything she just looked at me and slide the dress from the counter to me. If you are taking an expensive piece of clothing for alteration, please do not go to Gina's Alteration. I made the mistake of bringing my clothes here because I had just moved to Orange County and did not have a local alteration contact. Their work is not reliable - they destroyed a perfectly brand new piece of luxury clothing. It was a frustrating process where they made the dress' shoulder too short to begin with. They refused to rectify the situation until I found a solution for myself and found extra fabric from the factory where the dress was made. I let the owner of the shop know via telephone that I had wonderful news - I was going to bring the extra fabric in to correct everything! She agreed that this was a great solution and she would wait for me to bring in the fabric. Then, when I got there, she claimed that her employee already cut into the bottom seam of the dress without my approval. Still, they refused to give me a refund, so I was forced to "fix my dress" there. I threw the dress away when I brought it back home after the 3-month long process. Save yourselves time, money, stress, and a dress! read more

But you didn't center any of my labels on the pants and you didn't even care to match the stitching with the pant color. When I showed up you only showed my the black pair of pants you did and sent me out the door. Disappointed a small business couldn't take my business serious for whatever reason. I made a mistake of going here to alter a pair of slacks pants and a dress. They did such a half ass job and I cant even wear the dress because they altered it way too short. I even gave them the proper dimensions of how i wanted it and they did not follow any of my directions. My pants too, they tailored it way shorter than I had said to them and it isn't even overlock seemed nicely. so disappointed and I wasted my money and my clothes. So just don't risk with your nice clothes and head somewhere else for your alterations. Unless your clothes were cheap and risking it isn't that big of a deal, I would not recommend. read more

I had to order a bridesmaid's dress online for an out of state wedding and when the dress came in it fit perfect except for the bust which was about 6 inches too small (I'm top heavy and have a really hard time with sizing). I panicked because it was too close to order a new dress and alterations take time. A friend had mentioned Gina's and how she said they had luck there. They were fantastic they had my dress done in a little over week and it's perfection it looks like the dress was custom made for me and the stitches are impeccable. It was pretty much a whole overhaul of the bodice and a 3 inch hem deconstruction. It was under $100 for all of the alterations and now I have a beautiful dress that fits. I come here to get my scrub pants hemmed. For 4 bucks a pop it's perfect for my basic needs. They also do alterations for suits dresses and other things but I haven't done any of those so I can't review those. There's no dressing rooms but there is a curtain in the corner where you can try clothes on. read more

A day before the wedding I decided to try on my bridesmaid dress one last time but the zipper of my bridesmaid dress got stuck and wouldn't zip up and eventually ripped a part of the dress. In a panic, I called every alteration place I could find in my area, explaining my situation and none of them was able to help me (happened around 430-5pm) until i found Gina's alteration. I gave them a call explaining my situation and that it was a rush. I told the lady that I needed the dress the next day n she was so helpful and told me to come in an hr before the store closed. She took a look at the dress and told me she can take care of it last minute. I was worried bc I need the dress by 12pm the next day and she said she will have it ready by then. I wish there was a zero stars option. Came to this place in hopes to support local mom and pop business. I requested pricing to have my dress pants hemmed. The lady stated $10. I agreed and the lady took my measurements and marked the length to cut off. I changed out and placed my pants on the counter. The lady was in the process of punching in my order on the register, then suddenly stopped and looked at me. She asked, "Wait, do you want both sides [hemmed]?" I looked at her and was dumbfounded by the question. I answered, "Yes, I would like both sides hemmed." Then she replied, "Oh, ok both sides $20." I shook my head, took my pants and walked out of the establishment. She was clearly trying to up-sale and take advantage of the situation by assuming I would agree to the increase. Sad part was she looked at me like I was the rude customer refusing their service. No thank you! This establishment lacks customer service and needs to be better aware of customer needs. Did a pretty awful job with my shirts. The person at the front measured my shirts, but one ended up way too small and one was way too long even though they were measured together. When we went to pick up our shirts the woman in the front didn't speak English and we had a hard time getting our clothes back, and an even harder time getting her to understand that the shirts weren't done correctly. Eventually we gave up and came back a few days later and talked to the owner, who helped us out. They might be fine for pant hems but don't bring any dress shirts in. read more

Amazing price $4 to hem pants. They shortened my hiking pants that are a slick fabric. They also lengthened my work slacks that shrunk in the wash and were a touch too short. Pants hem look like they came that way. read more
