My brother and I went to five different assisted and Memory Care Facilities around the Temecula Murrieta area, and all of their memory cares look like zombieland. Very few caregivers, everybody sitting around doing nothing, no music, no one doing activities no laughing and very very depressing. And then we found Vineyard Ranch. The facility is beautiful and very well-kept. When we walked into the memory care, everybody was out of their rooms and doing something. People were laughing, talking activities were going on everywhere, and staff were visible throughout the rooms. Completely different environment and that made us very, very happy. She has been there for 3 weeks now, and she doesn't mention going home at all. She tells everyone this is her home and that she loves it there. She's always doing an activity and keeping busy. She's made a lot of friends. The food is good and she finishes all of her meals. Staff are always there to keep an eye on everyone. After any exercise, the staff brings everyone protein smoothies. Every Thursday they have an excursion to someplace fun and stimulating. At a time when dealing with a situation like this, it can be extremely stressful and create feelings of guilt. Vineyard Ranch has made the transition smooth, easy, and very pleasant. We are so happy to see Mom happy laughing and involved. Couldn't ask for more than that.

Eduardo and some staff are amazing but it seems their hands are tied by corporate. Since being taken over it has gotten more expensive, but the only money they put in is the updated lobby that people see first. My dad's hallway has been a disaster area since December with a "remodel". He had to be out of his room twice for 8 hours bc they were working on it. Luckily he had my place to come to, but what about those that don't? Had to be locked in their rooms or chill in the lobby. This was 2 months ago, the pictures are from last week. My husband was hit in the head by an alarm hanging from the ceiling that's been that way for 2 months. What if that was my 89 year old parent and he fell? So unsafe. Dad was having plumbing troubles and they came to look at it. Said someone near him flushed something they shouldn't have. Their solution was that he get a container to put all his toilet paper in and he can't flush paper anymore. HE PAYS $2,400 a month for a small studio with no kitchen!! He can't even flush his toilet paper. When they came to check it they left the bathroom a mess and left the dirty plunger in the shower floor. This is unacceptable. The residents deserve better.

While the beautiful upgrades and wonderful amenities were impressive, what made our experience exceptional was the kindness and compassion of Edoardo, the marketing director. From the moment I arrived I was able to observe his interactions with the residents and the staffs interactions with the residents. Edoardo's passion for the community was evident and his kind caring heart truly shows. While observing He greeted everyone and knew all the residents by name and people lit up with happiness when they would speak to them. He had a genuine connection with the residents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When I brought my grandmother for her tour, he went above and beyond by holding her hand and assisting her on the steeper slopes, showing incredible patience and care. He took the time to engage with her getting to know her on a deeper level even , remembering details from our previous conversations that I had months prior. The way he treated her and her interaction with the other residents made her feel loved cared about and wanted which was so important for me. My grandmother expressed that, out of all the places we visited, Sun City Gardens was her absolute favorite--not just for its beautiful facility , but for the loving and accepting community atmosphere. It's clear that people like Edoardo make a significant impact on the lives of residents and their families. I wholeheartedly recommend Sun City Gardens to anyone looking for a supportive and friendly environment for their loved ones. I feel grateful knowing my grandmother would be part of such a wonderful community!

My grandmother has lived at the murrieta Sarah's assisted living for 7 months now. We are happy... she is *mostly happy. She has dementia. First of all- she is safe. Her safety is the priority. They have locks and door/window sensors and They have around the clock care. They do the cooking and cleaning... all the things a bigger facility does except all the social things. My grandma is a little lonely. The other seniors kinda keep to themselves- or they are more progressed into their dementia. She's a talker... so she has befriended the caretakers. Actually, my grandmas thinks she works there too! not a new story, just a new place! The caretakers seem to be good sports about it. They have called me when she needs to see a doctor because they notice! They have called when she's upset- because she gets upset at times. They have called when she's out of supplies- because they take note. When your loved one is losing who they are... it's so hard to take them to strangers and expect them to care- but I think they do! We are also on a tight budget- the whole family chips into my grams care... and these home places are less expensive than the bigger facilities- and we haven't been nickeld and dimed here. We Had her in a bigger facility and they tried raising her care costs every couple of months- they don't do that here! Gram complains a little about the food. It's hard to cook to please everyone, I get it. But my grandma would also be happy with hot dogs and beans every night... so... ‍ All in all- it has been a positive experience. Seems to be Run by good people... Highly recommend!

They asked us who we were there to see and which room. We told them and they reviewed covid guidelines- we did have our masks on already. Masks are required in all the common areas and when walking around the facility. When you are in your loved one's room, you don't have to wear the mask. We walked through the entryway where there was a Christmas tree and decorations for the holiday. The entire assisted living facility was festive and fun. We walked past the dining area, which looked like a nice big space. There were several areas for gathering and socializing for the residents. One room had this giant puzzle in it. There is also an outside courtyard available too. They offer groups and classes and all kinds of fun things for the residents that live here. It's extremely quiet, which is nice so you can visit with your loved one. Please don't park in the resident parking along the side. There are plenty of parking spots for visitors nearby and lots of parking outside the stores in the same shopping center.

The management of this facility are only concerned about how much they can charge the inmates. If you put a family member in this facility, demand a monthly billing statement from them and check it carefully. My brother was unable to stand or walk on his own. He needed help to do everything but eat the food that he constantly complained about. Even though he was paying $10,000 a month for care, he received very little help from the staff. He had repeated severe urinary tract infections due to the lack of staff attention, to the point that he was in and out of the local hospitals repeatedly. Even though he was in the hospital, Brookdale continued to bill him for "tray service" (taking food to his room). If you don't live close to Brookdale, find another care home. If you do live close to Brookdale, don't assume that just because you are paying thousands of dollars a month that he/she will receive the care they are paying for; check on your loved one frequently. In early 2026 while in hospice care, my brother died from a severe urinary tract infection.
