My mom's Alzheimer's had reached a point where she needed more care than we could offer her at home. My brother and I went to five different assisted and Memory Care Facilities around the Temecula Murrieta area, and all of their memory cares look like zombieland. Very few caregivers, everybody sitting around doing nothing, no music, no one doing activities no laughing and very very depressing. And then we found Vineyard Ranch. The facility is beautiful and very well-kept. When we walked into the memory care, everybody was out of their rooms and doing something. People were laughing, talking activities were going on everywhere, and staff were visible throughout the rooms. Completely different environment and that made us very, very happy. She has been there for 3 weeks now, and she doesn't mention going home at all. She tells everyone this is her home and that she loves it there. She's always doing an activity and keeping busy. She's made a lot of friends. The food is good and she finishes all of her meals. Staff are always there to keep an eye on everyone. After any exercise, the staff brings everyone protein smoothies. Every Thursday they have an excursion to someplace fun and stimulating. At a time when dealing with a situation like this, it can be extremely stressful and create feelings of guilt. Vineyard Ranch has made the transition smooth, easy, and very pleasant. We are so happy to see Mom happy laughing and involved. Couldn't ask for more than that. read more

I hust brought my 86-year-old aunt out of a skilled nursing facility into Vineyard Ranch recently. They made the process very easy and all of the staff is helpful, friendly and very accommodating. This business was recommended to me by a specialist so I visited and was pleasantly surprised. I only wanted a temporary respite for my husband and did all the paperwork which included his PCP. Upon dropping him off they whisked him away without any acknowledgment they said it was easier on him. It was almost lunch time so I prepared his room with all his clothes and bedding. I called almost every day to check on him with his med tech. They suggested I not see him because he might/could get agitated. Two weeks in he seemed to be doing fine according to them eating with others but not really participating. Five days before I picked him up, alas I was out of town visiting my son, they told me he had fallen and had a gash on his forearm. Since, paperwork was in place they called PCP ? 1st ? Then he was taken to Rancho Springs hospital ER. I spoke with the ER nurse and got more information and asked for a scan in case of a stroke or other condition. Five days later when I came to pick him up and pack his belongings, I was surprised at his condition. His stride was so slow & he almost didn't recognize me. The majority of the med tech's & house keepers are helpful & sweet and said that they enjoyed his "Irish" sense of humor. I feel his health has deteriorated and am concerned. In addition, his wallet is missing with his ID . Hope that this helps others. read more

A very nice place when all amenities are offered to Tenants. No Activity Coordinator since beginning of Summer. Family member is a depressed AND bored, stays in room only to leave for meals. * BEWARE - Since September 2020 several Tenants have been robbed of jewelry, cash and Designer handbag . Family members had to intervene due to Greg Chase lack of involvement and family not getting there phone calls returned from him. It took a Tenant's son from Chicago to light a match under Greg Chase keister And summons Police to take Police Reports from Tenants. A down right shame for my relative to lose Family heirlooms to a inside Thief. NOT ONCE DID Management CALL POLICE UNTIL OCTOBER 2020 !! Thank you Jason and Vanessa Cox for getting involved to get Police involved. How can a Employee whom has access to Tenants rooms do this terrible derogatory action to the Elderly?? I am so furious that my Family member has lost heirloom jewelry that has been in our Family for 154 years. Now Tenants are not comfortable in their own rooms which are $2,400 a month for a studio. I hear of no importance or action being done to find the Employees whom are stealing from my opinion. So PLEASE...THINK TWICE IF YOU CHOOSE THIS PLACE FOR A LOVED FAMILY MEMBER. Vineyard Ranch of Temecula is the best Senior Living facility I can always count on; I am a full-time caregiver for my 92-year-old mother. I recently left my mother a second time for respite stay during the month of April. She was so overwhelmed to return for a second time and spend time with everyone there who she refers to her second family and thinks she's staying at her Club-med resort. Tammy Carvajal (Community Relations Director) was instrumental in preparing and providing a beautiful room for my mother stay in addition to giving me occasional updates of my mother's wellbeing which gave me comfort knowing she was doing well without me. I am always amazed how clean and tidy the entire facility is maintained and how every staff member treats all their guest. In April of 2019, our family had to make a tough decision. We had to seek assistance with our mother's care, with dementia she was unable to care for herself and each of us had working household like most of America. You always see this challenge as sad for someone else, until you are wearing the shoes and having to make the decision to place your loved one in a care facility. My siblings and I debated on it for 2 weeks before we unanimously decided that placing our mother in a care facility where she would receive the care and supervision would be in her best interest. We visited over 50% of the various level of care facilities in the Temecula and Murrieta area, most were lovely places, but.... When we arrived at Vineyard Ranch, we immediately felt invited. The Staff were professional and courteous. The first person we met was Bailey, she was pleasant and professional. She answered all our questions while giving us a tour of entire facility. Vineyard Ranch was very energetic and clean compared to most of the places we visited!! My mother instantly liked the facility and felt very comfortable from initial meeting (which was a key point of worry for us). It has been a year plus that our mother has resided at Vineyard Ranch. It's a good feeling knowing that you made the right decision concerning your loved one. We know we made the right decision in choosing Vineyard Ranch for my mother's new home, they are a great Staff from Top to Bottom. We feel blessed to our mother in such an Outstanding facility. My mother was a resident here for several years. While there are positives in the primary caregiving staff being very dedicated and loving, there are too many negatives to recommend Vineyard Ranch. My mother had numerous valuable items and cash stolen from her room. There are no cameras monitoring hallway activity or key cards monitoring or recording who enters a resident's room. Management was reluctant to pursue an investigation, and my family and other victims ended up filing the police report ourselves. There always seemed to be an understaffing problem which, among other problems, resulted in routine long wait times in the dining room to routine long waits for delivered packages being brought to my mom's room. When she was confined to her room longer than promised for a possible Covid exposure (she was told it would be one day while they waited for test results --- my mother was kept isolated in her room for one week waiting for slow results), I finally ended up bringing our own rapid test. She tested negative and was finally able to leave her room. During this time, the food delivered to her room was cold. She had a larger apartment, so paid just under $5,000/per month. My mother passed away at Vineyard Ranch, and while expected, I was notified by a very impersonal, cold phone call. NOT ONCE have my family or I been contacted by management with any message of condolence. We quietly packed up my mother's apartment with no direction or visit from management. We felt my mother was merely considered a revenue source by management and can just imagine them calling out "Next!" to fill her spot. I understand this is a business, but Vineyard Ranch is in the business of caring. She had several wonderful med techs and caregivers who truly seemed to love her and went above and beyond. Unfortunately, that care did not extend to the management level and my family feels very disrespected. My mother mattered, maybe not to VR management, but to our family, and she deserved recognition that VR management seems incapable or unwilling to provide. read more

If you are in need of a Memory Care facility for a loved one, Vineyard Ranch is the place. The entire staff is the most caring and professional angels I have ever met. I interviewed and toured several other homes. This was the right choice by far. The dignity and care that is displayed on a daily basis is amazing. I visit my husband daily, never knowing when I might pop in...and they are always attentive, kind fun and respectful. I sleep well, finally knowing my Dear husband JD is in good hands. My family member was a resident here, we have moved since, but I feel like this review needs to be written. This review brings me anger and sadness, the lies Denise sold us on and the poor management. Denise the executive director is as Fake as it comes, from What We were told she was a sales rep with no experience in management and landed the position. We witnessed Denise put down one of their staff members and then turn around and put on her fake smile to greet us. While visiting there we could count on one hand the amount of times we ever saw her visit or interact with the residents. She gave us the run around plenty of times, an once she has your hard earned money and your family member is settled, she treats you like garbage. She is all sweet to get you in there, but truly doesn't care about anything or anyone other than numbers and it shows. We also witnessed the care staff gets turned around so quickly they don't actually have time to learn or for the train them. They state they have a nurse there 24 hours a day and that's a lie. Their care staff isn't all bad, some few actually give the attention to the residents but over all you can tell they are all burnt out, and lack training. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Our parents suffer from Dementia and with Covid we had no idea our options. I am extremely happy I chose Vineyard Ranch for my dad. My dad moved in to the memory care living, on opening day, April 7th, and everyone has been great in helping my dad adjust to his new home! I live close to Vineyard Ranch, so I visit my dad several times a week and at different times of the day, and I have NEVER questioned whether or not my dad was being well taken care of. Instead, I appreciate how everyone in the facility has really gotten to know my dad and how they make him feel special all the time. The care takers are sweet, attentive and very hard working! I have especially enjoyed my interactions with Rebecca, Kendra, Terry, Sarah and Canessa. JL, the activities director in memory care, is AMAZING! She works so hard to keep the residents engaged and creates new activities based on the residents interests. To give a specific example, my father is a huge Green Bay Packer fan and for his birthday, Chris, the chef, made football theme cupcakes and my family, the staff, and residents celebrated his birthday together. In addition to the caretakers, the receptionist and the directors have also been nothing but helpful and supportive at Vineyard Ranch. When I bring my three kids to visit their grandpa, they are always so nice and accommodating. They always include my kids on any activities even setting up a video game system (WI) for them to play with while the residents watch. My kids also enjoy Shasta, the friendly and playful dog, Vineyard Ranch has for the residents, who lives on both sides of the facility and brings enjoyment and smiles to everyone there. In is my strong belief that Vineyard Ranch is giving my father a great quality of life in the memory care unit and I am thankful that my dad feels at home there. read more

All I can say is wow! We are looking into assisted living for my in laws and this place is so nice. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We had an appointment and met with Cathie. She was super nice and answered every question we never thought of. The place was very clean, smelled good, and everyone said hi or nodded their head at us. They really care about all their residents. My father only lived here for 5 months due to the fact there were only 2 other men sadly. My mother has been in Vineyard's memory care unit for over a year and we couldn't be happier about the care she has received. During this quarantine period, no one has gotten Covid due to the protocols they have set up and that says a lot about their safety and cleanliness standards. Phone calls to the staff are returned timely, and any concerns we have are addressed and resolved. My mother has been at Vineyard Ranch since May 2018 in both the Memory Care and Assisted Living apartment areas. She is a challenging personality but all of the staff is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WITH HER!!! I shopped at least 8 other properties, and, though I selected VR for its proximity to me, amenities and cost, the staff and management made it an exceptional choice and the best I could have made. First, I want to state that the place is amazing. It is beautiful and has everything that you could not even imagine. Moving here is definitely a resort-style image. My problem is the staff. I have already brought this to the management's attention, and they are working on it. However, this is so important that for it to happen once is too much. Unfortunately, it has happened twice with me. When I was inquiring about the facility over a telephone call, my family member's dementia state of mind was laughed at. It made me sick, but I went for the tour anyways. I met with the same lady that I spoke with over the telephone. The tour was going great, and I was beyond impressed with all of their stations and activities. During my tour, I was introduced to the activities director. At that time, the staff touring me informed the activities director that my uncle, sometimes, thinks he is someone else. (Who he believes to be is not important.) In front of me, they both broke out into hysterical laughter. I stood there and started getting tears, yet they remained laughing at his health condition and what it might be like with him as a resident. I ended their fun with a stern comment that I do not see anything funny about my uncle's health condition. At this point, they apologized. This should never have happened to begin with. They are working at a facility for those who are memory impaired. The thought of having a loved one in there and having to wonder if they are being made fun of makes me sick to my stomach. Also, after finding out that he is insulin dependent, I received a very cold email: We cannot accept an insulin dependent diabetic in our community at this time. If you need some alternative suggestions for communities who can, please let me know and I'm happy to point you in the right direction. I am not going to post names here of the staff. The fact that they thought this was acceptable behavior has me question the ethics of what they feel is acceptable and what they can get away with at the facility as a whole. Obviously, we will look elsewhere, but my heart hurts for anyone who is being made fun of while being a resident there. read more

My mom moved to Vineyard Ranch of Temecula after living independently in her condo in Rancho Bernardo for the past 30+ years. One of the best testaments I can make is when my mother told her doctor that she thought it would be very difficult to leave her home but once she moved, she realized just how lonely she had actually been and she is so much happier now. She absolutely loves living at Vineyard Ranch and has made several friends there and is actively involved. The staff has been wonderful and the facility is beautiful and very clean. My mother is a resident at vineyard ranch. She is on the assisted living side. She has been here since the middle of April. They are brand new, and opened approximately a week prior to my moms arrival. Overall we have been extremely pleased with Vineyard and their staff. We had 1 or 2 glitches when she first moved in. My mom had broke her leg 2 weeks before moving in. She came to vineyard straight from rehab. She was completely dependent on the staff for all her needs. Considering how great her needs were, they really did an amazing job. Caregivers have bent over backwards to help her. I will add, my mother is quite demanding. I visit my mom at least 3 times a week, and stay for hours at a time. So I am very involved in all that she does and all that is done for her. Any issues we did have, I brought to the attention of Aziz, the Executive Director. Issues were dealt with and resolved within 24 hours, if not sooner. I would highly recommend Vineyard Ranch to people who are looking for assisted living for themselves or a friend or loved one. The grounds and the premises are beautiful. The food is very good. The staff is very nice and really tries to be on top of things. The prices are very good as well. Just like any type of services we pay for, you need to be on top of it and make sure your getting what you feel your paying for and what your loved one deserves. Like I said previously my mother can be somewhat demanding and is a perfectionist. She gives Vineyard a thumbs up. You can have comfort to know, the staff will try to please you. They have meetings monthly with residents to hear any suggestions or issues they may have that needs to be addressed. Another way that they try to keep the level of communication open.
