This is a very nice facility. It's super clean inside. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We walked in and were greeted right away. They asked us who we were there to see and which room. We told them and they reviewed covid guidelines- we did have our masks on already. Masks are required in all the common areas and when walking around the facility. When you are in your loved one's room, you don't have to wear the mask. We walked through the entryway where there was a Christmas tree and decorations for the holiday. The entire assisted living facility was festive and fun. We walked past the dining area, which looked like a nice big space. There were several areas for gathering and socializing for the residents. One room had this giant puzzle in it. There is also an outside courtyard available too. They offer groups and classes and all kinds of fun things for the residents that live here. It's extremely quiet, which is nice so you can visit with your loved one. Please don't park in the resident parking along the side. There are plenty of parking spots for visitors nearby and lots of parking outside the stores in the same shopping center. read more

I can only affirm the negative comments that others who have given a low rating to the Brookdale Murrieta facility. The management of this facility are only concerned about how much they can charge the inmates. If you put a family member in this facility, demand a monthly billing statement from them and check it carefully. My brother was unable to stand or walk on his own. He needed help to do everything but eat the food that he constantly complained about. Even though he was paying $10,000 a month for care, he received very little help from the staff. He had repeated severe urinary tract infections due to the lack of staff attention, to the point that he was in and out of the local hospitals repeatedly. Even though he was in the hospital, Brookdale continued to bill him for "tray service" (taking food to his room). If you don't live close to Brookdale, find another care home. If you do live close to Brookdale, don't assume that just because you are paying thousands of dollars a month that he/she will receive the care they are paying for; check on your loved one frequently. In early 2026 while in hospice care, my brother died from a severe urinary tract infection. read more

Brookdale Murrieta is such a nice, clean facility. The care givers are wonderful, kind and patient especially Linda. She really makes my mom laugh and tends to her every need. She treats her like family and my mom can feel that. Everyone we come across there is just so happy and pleasant. So glad we made the choice to have my mom live at Brookdale. It is such a wonderful peace of mind knowing that my mom is in such good hands. read more

Alzheimer, Dementia, restricted mobility seniors steer clear of this place! Brookdale doesn't have the trained personal to take care of you! The limited overworked (mostly foreigners) are lax at doing their jobs (you might be in beds wearing a dirty depends in a filthy room for days!). If you don't show up in the dining facility you might go hungry, unless your willing to pay for their expensive room service (visitors expect to pay $30+ for a plain mediocre hamburger). They say their pet friendly, but the reality is their not. Also the building facility is old and showing its age (plumbing, electrical, HVAC problems). Brookdale is overrated and very expensive for a supposedly senior assisted care family/privately owned facility. After three months I moved out to another newer senior assisted care facility (corporate owned) All the employees are credentialed, well staffed, with a lot more to offer. Before you take up residence in Brookdale, do your homework! If your already a resident of Brookdale, believe me, there are a lot better senior assisted care facilities that can offer you more bang for the buck; trust me, I know from experiance. read more

Wonderful facility, we are so grateful. Our elderly aunt was in a nearby SNF and needed to be transferred to an assisted living facility as we were not able to care for her needs. We called around to all the area facilities, and Kellie at Brookdale was quick to respond. She was great and so helpful. She explained everything to us about the assessment and transfer process, costs, options, offered to go visit our aunt at the SNF and assess her, offered a tour (which we took)--just everything beginning to end. Hanofi is the director of nursing, and he too was fantastic. After assessing my aunt, they sat with me to review her case and suggest options and then took and answered my numerous calls and questions afterwards :) The facility is lovely, with lots of activity options, the staff are wonderful, rooms are great and available services (for different fees) are plentiful. In speaking with many other facilities that had availability; they are all fairly the same in terms of activities, care options etc but are more expensive overall. Other places you had to essentially "buy" care options in bulk but at Brookdale, you pick and choose what you need or want and can change whenever. They were so flexible. Most importantly, the care staff, nursing staff, activity staff are all so friendly and clearly care about these residents and take such wonderful care of them. Our aunt was well taken care of the last week of her life and they treated her with love, respect and dignity...just wonderful and we are forever grateful The residents here are so nice, and while my aunt passed away after about 10 days, she made friends with several residents during that time. We received a few notes from her new friends which was touching. This is a fantastic place and thank you to all the Brookdale staff for a wonderful experience. read more

Horrible place uneducated people ... I Lovec this place at first they all are so sweet . But my mom had mini strokes which I filled out a huge packet about specifics . They never offered to integrate taking Her blood pressure weekly etc ( I am young first time care taker , assumed they just did that ) I called my mom around 2 pm one day she didn't answer ... I assumed " she's fine in assisted living ... she's fine " fast forward 5 hours later . She answers the phone clearly facially paralyzed ( I could tell in her voice ) . They hadn't checked on her since morning she missed lunch and dinner . And someone was in the room when I called and they physically couldn't see she had a major stroke which ended up killing her . I could hear the paralysis in her speech ! She literally sat there all day having a stroke and they had no idea and when they saw her .... had no idea what stroke Symptoms where read more

This place seems lovely at first...once you sign your name on paper it is a different story. My mother has lived there for several months now and while the surroundings are clean and well maintained and the food is good, the way they handle expenses and charge fees for every single thing is downright criminal. My mother has come a long way since she moved in and for 2 months now she has been getting in and out of bed on her own, dressing herself, getting to and from her room on her own two feet and is able to be quite independent. Despite this fact we have been getting charged over $500 for special assistance that she is NOT receiving. Our efforts to get this resolved have been futile and we get excuses and the manager was rude and dismisses to my mother when she tried to complain. Make sure you RESEARCH and if you do tour the facility, get them to WRITE EVERY DETAIL down because they will tell you what you want to hear and then it all changes once you sign your loved one into their contract. Oh and if you have Brookdale assist with medication you will pay $800 a month just to have them contact pharmacy and walk the pills to the room to place into the pill organizer. How is this legal? If you have tons of money then this is the place for you, if your loved one is on a fixed income, your funds will run out FAST. Be very careful and pay close attention to the bill. read more

My mom got to the point where she needed assisted living. Unfortunately, our place didn't work out due to stairs. We checked out several facilities and were drawn to Brookdale. My wife and I took the tour and were very impressed. A few weeks later my sister and brother in law brought my mom down to check out the facility and she was very happy with it. Jean, the lady who was helping us, went above and beyond to make my mom feel right at home, including putting together a welcome booklet commemorating her heritage. Other people who were so helpful were Robin, Queen, and Raquel. Several of the staff people who were there during our visit introduced themselves to us and were so friendly. Even talked to several of the residents there who loved the place. More than one said that the food is excellent. Highly recommended checking out Brookdale Murrieta. read more

We have been very happy and pleased with Brookdale Senior Living in Murrieta, Ca. We moved my Mother-in-Law in there the weekend before Christmas. It was a crazy time but everyone was so great and helpful. We have been very happy with the care they are giving my Mother-in-Law, especially now with COVID-19. Even though everyone is on lockdown right now and we can not see my Mother-in-Law, I know she is in good hands and that they are doing everything possible to keep her safe and healthy. We have been so happy with Brookdale Senior Living in Murrieta. I was searching for an assisted living facility for my father-in-law, who had been living independently until he began needing more day to day assistance in early spring of this year. My father in law was alternately eager, then resistant about a move, depending on his energy level. He agreed to take a tour, but then said he wouldn't an hour before our appointment. I insisted he at least SEE Brookdale so he could make up his own mind. Their residential rental director, Jimena, met us, and was such a considerate and caring individual who gently guided my father in law through the facility, that he was ready to make the decision to move the same day. Absolutely no type of hard sell or pressure, just calm answers and real kindness were shown. Prices were upfront, along with prices for possible extra services in the future (bathing assistance, meal deliveries to the room, medication management, etc). It was nice having all that information in printed form, too. He chose a one bedroom apartment which came with a kitchenette. We subsequently met reception staff, among whom Raquel and Carol were our very favorites. The nursing staff also proved to be superb (I myself am an RN) as my father in law proved more ill than we knew. As his health declined, the RN director, Queen was always there for us, the family. Her communication and actual physical presence gave my father in law such reassurance, and gave us the medical realities that were ahead for both he and us, the family. Nurses Ana, Alison and Evelyn all went above and beyond their duties for my father in law. I know of several instances where Queen stayed late just to chat as she saw my husband and I leaving from a visit. It seemed like nurse Ana would often catch me crying after a visit, and made a point to be extra kind to me. You can't pay someone to pretend to care, she actually showed it day after day. The aides at Brookdale were the most gentle and sweet individuals. They helped my father in laws mood improve so much with gentle ministrations, rubbing lotion on his back and eventually assisting with showers. The last month of his life he had meal trays delivered to his room, and the kitchen staff were also respectful and worked hard to help him choose food he liked. I think a great testament to the type of staff working at Brookdale is that Zoe, a Brookdale employee, came to my father in laws funeral on her day off, and spoke with tears about how she was honored to help care for him. My own mother is an an assisted living apartment which both my husband and I think is maybe half as good as Brookdale. My only wish for the Brookdale facility is that the front doors and entry and staircase carpet are worn and need some updating. But the people working there? Stellar! read more
