It didn't seem like it was a problem that I was running late. Kelly quickly got started and showed me the menu so I could choose which type of manicure I would prefer. I really needed to relax and enjoyed the massage chair while Kelly worked on my toenails and feet They have a great selection of polish to choose from. Haven't had my nails done since I moved here three years ago. Looked and this place had good reviews. I had a male nail tech who was super nice but so fast... felt extremely rushed. Also sliced the side of my finger going so fast with a really abrasive Emory board. Very tender now. Didn't feel relaxing at all. I got the dip nails. They didn't even cut my cuticles so they look really ugly. Also, the nails are pretty lumpy. Took 30 mins from start to finish. Nails are all uneven. Probably the worst manicure of my life. I felt bad saying anything because he was very nice and that's the only reason there are two stars instead of one but definitely won't be back. *** day two edit: from the aggressive filing I actually have a cut on three nails next to my cuticle. On top of this being painful this is especially a concern for me due to the fact that I am a nurse and am frequently around infection and germs making me at higher risk for infection. read more

The girl that did my Pedi and brows was awesome. She did a fantastic job!!but the lady that did my nails was horrible. She had a nasty attitude and was very impatient with me because I was trying to figure out if I wanted tips on. However I still left her a $10 tip. I wasn't happy with how she did my nails because the polish was starting to peel off the next day and the polish looked like wall paint. No shine at all. I went back to see if she could redo them and she tried to tell me that it wasn't the polish and that it was my nails Lol!! She was very rude and was trying to argue with me. I don't know the names of the technicians, but a lady did my pedicure and manicure but she couldn't do the design on my nails. My natural nails are pretty soft, and she used a very abrasive emery board for filing that left my nails rather jagged with very sharp corners. I was passed to a man to do a design, I asked for a flower. I jokingly said, "I hear you're the design expert," and he said, "No but I'm going to try". He literally put five dots in a circle on my nail (as if to represent flower petals) and asked if that was ok. When I said no, he seemed a bit shocked. It was extremely obvious he wasn't trained to do designs, so I very politely said, "if you can't do anything more than that, I'd rather just not have the design." This is when it really went downhill. He then took a filing block and began sawing away at my nail to remove the design, and the nail block was very sharp and hurt my finger. I pulled my hand away and said, "that hurts," he then proceeded to do the same thing and the file cut my finger and began bleeding. This should NEVER have happened. I've been getting my nails done for 25 years and never had someone hurt me like this. He apologized, seemed very nervous (especially when I took a picture with my phone), and repeatedly apologized. He also put something on my finger to stop the bleeding - all this time, he was not wearing gloves. The owner Tina then came over and she fixed my nails - she gently softened the corners of my nails and also did a design. When I went to leave, she met me at the register, and the bill was $125. I was shocked. I just moved from Hawaii where everything is high, and this was even more than I spent in Hawaii. When I questioned the cost, I then learned that the advertised $60 pedicure was actually $75 because I got gel polish (this was not brought to my attention at the time of the pedicure, and the paper I was handed to choose which pedicure I wanted showed $40, $50, and $60 options. If there was fine print indicating the additional $15, I didn't see it. I was also surprised given the circumstance of leaving there with an injured finger that I wasn't afforded SOME kind of accommodation such as a discount. I even told her, very respectfully, that the man should not have ever been allowed to do designs; it was more than obvious he didn't possess the skills for that, and that my experience there is exactly what might make me never return. And I shared that I was new to the area and looking for a new salon where I could be a regular customer who comes faithfully every two weeks for mail services. The shame of it is none of that seemed to matter. I also think if Tina had done my nails from the get-go, NONE of this would've happened, and I would likely have been very happy with my services. She seemed to be very good , talented and skilled. Meanwhile my finger has been sore for 5 days now. :( read more

I was on vacation visiting south port and was in need for a mani and pedi for me and my daughter. I called ahead to make an appointment to make sure we didn't spend too much of our day in the salon, and to plan accordingly. We got an appointment for 2 pedi's 1 regular manicure with design and 1 gel manicure. Pedicures seem to be going accordingly until the lady doing my toes took an electric grinder and grinded the tops of my toes nails as if I was getting gel. Not your typical pedicure, both of my big toe nails are uneven and looks like the nail underneath the paint is broken. I waited 30 min in the pedicure chair for my gel manicure, because they told me only one person could do it, come to find out they assumed I needed a fill and I wound up getting the same lady that did my toes, after I watched her complete another customer in-between my appointment. Lastly, my daughter wanted a design and again only one person could do it. She waiting approximately 45 min just to get her nails finished. Listen I understand places get busy but when you blatantly overbook people and have people wait isn't fair, not for me and especially not for my daughter. We spend 2.5 hrs in this salon, and that was with an appointment. We WERE NOT just walk in. read more

Needed a gel fill and didn't want to fight traffic to Southport to my usual place, so decided to give Angel's a try. I called for an appointment that morning and was given 2:30. Arrived at 2:25 - and waited until 2:55... like every other nail salon in the area, they take walk-ins regardless of having appointments . Bea did my nails, she did an ok job on removing old polish, filling and prepping - but a very messy application of the gel polish... it was all over my cuticles and sides of my fingers. She used her own thumbnail to try to swipe away the excess , but it's taken me a week to get the remaining polish off my skin. One positive was the neck, shoulder massage while nails were curing... unexpected, but quite nice. The salon itself is quite small and kind of dark- all the furnishings are brown, which contributes to the dimness. The left side is a row of pedicure stations and the right side is for manicures with a narrow aisle in between. I'm not sure that I'd come here again. read more

They were so busy but I was in and out in about an hour and a half total! I was nervous that I was asking for something complicated, but she assured me that it was ok and she could do it. First time customers, and they did an amazing job! Called Saturday morning and we were able to come in same day @10:15 for 3 pedicures and an eyebrow wax. Pedicure chairs were wiped down and tubs scrubbed cleaned after each patron. They were busy (which is always a good sign), but worked efficiently providing service to all customers. Highly recommend! My parents will become regulars and I certainly will return when I'm visiting!! read more

Asked for a fill in, didn't get one but got charged for one anyway. What happened to the hot stone massage with the pedicures?? Guy left me to start another pedicure with someone else.. told me I was good to go and there's still dried wax on my legs. Was better off plucking my eye brows myself. I had an appt with angel but when I showed up (on time)she left me sitting for 15 minutes while she cleaned up her salon. Then she said that she would have someone else do my manicure. A man I did not know - but I needed to get started. Anyway I have ended up with a horrendous nail fungus. Been to doctors and am on a prescription but losing my thumb nail anyway. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! Straight from the door there was an unpleasant atmosphere as the nail techs spoke between themselves making the customers uncomfortable. I sat down and they started saying that my nails were "strong but dry" when visibly they were utilizing dull tools. Instead of getting a regular mani, they used a gel and did not use a UV dryer. They're the only nail salon close to our house and are conveniently located in a new shopping center (so if there's a wait, no problem, you can just shop the time away)! They are usually very quick but their work is amazing! They have low prices and many options for pedicures. I get the Spa Pedicure which is great for a "treat yourself" kind of day! I had an SNS manicure and regular pedicure - all chipped in less than a week! About 3 or 4 of my real nails (that I've been growing for months) all broke and the rest of my nails had chipped or peeled off. I waited for 40 minutes, they let two people go before who came in after me & had no appointment which really annoyed me. Then when I finally sat down, a guy was doing my acrylic bails & I asked for an almond shape & he did the shape completely wrong (he did a stiletto shape), so I asked him to make it more oval & not pointy. I have been to this salon 2 times. The first time I went for a mani/pedi. I asked for regular polish on my toes. I asked for the same color as my toes but in gel for my nails. When she went to dry my nails in the UV light the polish kept shrinking. The tech was not going to do anything about it till I spoke up. They ( a few of the techs) decided it was the polish and picked another polish for me. It was not the same color I had picked. So therefor my nails and toes no longer matched. A few hours after I left I was looking at my toe polish and noticed it was very smudged. It was a warm day so I had on flip flops the whole day. I touched the polish and it was very sticky. All my toes were sticky. So I went back to the salon, and let them know. They did have the tech fix my toes with a different polish. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and made an appointment for my next visit with a tech I heard was very good. I asked for a french manicure gel. I was under the impression the price was $35. She charged me $40 bc she said they added an extra coat for protection. 4 days later my white tips are already chipping.. What a waste of money.. NOT going back. I am not usually want to complain, but I think others should know before going in and spending their money. read more
