I made a reservation over the phone two weeks ago for my daughter for today at noon. I spoke with a…read moremale employee who confirmed that everything was set for her appointment. When my mother took my daughter in today, they told her there was no record of the reservation and that she would have to wait. My mother explained that an appointment had been made and should be honored, but they were extremely rude and dismissive, insisting she would still have to wait. She called me to explain the situation, so I contacted the salon myself. The same male employee was rude and argumentative the entire time. He claimed he is the only male employee who takes reservations, which I know is not true. Because of how poorly this situation was handled, my mother ended up taking my daughter to another nail salon. This experience has cost them my business. If you are not going to honor phone reservations, then you should not be taking them in the first place.

My first trip there consisted of simple, standard offerings from a sweet older couple. The salon has changed drastically! They offer just about anything you want! I got a long, wonderful massage and a paraffin dip for my feet. Honestly the softest my feet have ever been post pedicure. I also got a set of crystal nails. The tips themselves have glitter and stars. I love them! The best part is, it didn't take forever, the nail salon I was going to would have taken 3 hours for a pedi and nails. This was just over an hour. I was thrilled with the results, too. Best part? They offer customer loyalty cards, so many punches and you get a free service. Awesome, right? The cuticles are not done correctly, my nails aren't filed smoothly, and the polish is messy and is all on my skin, and it's already peeling! Additionally, the first time I was at this salon, it was a great vibe, and everyone seemed happy. This time, it was tense in there to the point of being uncomfortable. Before leaving this review, I emailed the owners as soon as I noticed how bad it was and included pictures. They replied quickly and said they'll do it over. They called the next day to ask about availability, and said they'd check the schedule and get back to me. Two days later, and I have not heard back from them. I've followed up twice. At this point, I am no longer interested in a redo. I just wish it'd been done correctly the first time. I rarely spend money on pedicures, so I am very disappointed.

My mother-in-law has mobility issues and cannot cut her own nails. She tried local nail salons…read moreonly to be floored by the outrageous fumes from the treatments and the snotty attitudes from the attendants. Regal Nails, located inside the Leland Wal-Mart, is excellent. They cleared a path and were very patient and gentle with my mother-in-law. They do insist that if the customer needs help into the chair, they cannot assist due to liability issues (a.k.a what if they drop her) but unlike Lee Nails in Independence Mall in Wilmington, they don't try to charge extra for the nail trim just because she's disabled. For a mani- pedi- we paid $15. Not bad considering places closer to where she lived tried to charge that much just for a manicure. I usually do my own nails. But after seeing their treatment of my mother-in-law, I may let them take care of my nails.
