Virginia is amazing and fun to talk with. Pedicure and dip nails are perfect every time.read more

I enjoy supporting local business, but unfortunately Noire Nail Salon is one I can't recommend…read more I've been 2-3 times now and decided to give them another chance, but I left disappointed. Several of the massage chairs were broken during my visit, which was disappointing but certainly not a deal breaker. My bigger issue was the pricing and lack of communication. I was charged $55 for what was listed in the menu book as a $35 pedicure. I did later notice that there is a sign near the front register stating that gel polish is an additional $20 to any pedicure service. However, that additional charge is not included in the menu book they provide when you are seated in the back of the salon, where the sign at the front is not visible. I think something that significantly changes the advertised price of a service should be clearly shown on the menu customers are actually using to choose their service. The final issue for me was simply having gel polish removed. I was asked multiple times if I wanted a manicure, and each time I clearly explained that I did not want a manicure or polish -- I only wanted the existing gel removed. The technician used a grinder to remove it, and once my nails became sensitive, I asked if we could soak the gel off instead. They soaked them briefly and then continued grinding. I was very surprised to then be charged $30, essentially the cost of a full manicure, just for gel polish removal. If I had been told beforehand that removal alone would cost $30, I would not have agreed to the service. The staff was nice enough and my nails ultimately look fine, but between the pricing, unclear charges, and lack of communication about the services being performed, I won't be returning.

I've genuinely never been disappointed with the service at Wilmington Nail Salon. In my opinion,…read morethis is one of the best bang-for-your-buck nail salons in the area. It's a cute, quaint little salon tucked away in The Cotton Exchange, and they offer a parking pass for the lot behind The Cotton Exchange, so parking doesn't have to be an added expense. The staff is always professional, talented, and clearly skilled at what they do. I especially appreciate that the nail artists seem to truly specialize in their craft. My shaping is always on point, and the leg massages actually have good pressure and technique without ever leaving me bruised or irritated afterward. The salon itself is always clean and welcoming. I'd honestly love to keep this place on the DL so the prices don't start creeping up, but they deserve the hype. I've tried other salons closer to me and usually leave disappointed because the service just doesn't compare. Wilmington Nail Salon is a little farther of a drive for me, but it's absolutely worth it.

I really dislike writing negative reviews…read more I had a gel pedicure and while the technician was very nice and gave a great leg massage, my nails are a mess. The cuticles are not done correctly, my nails aren't filed smoothly, and the polish is messy and is all on my skin, and it's already peeling! Additionally, the first time I was at this salon, it was a great vibe, and everyone seemed happy. This time, it was tense in there to the point of being uncomfortable. Before leaving this review, I emailed the owners as soon as I noticed how bad it was and included pictures. They replied quickly and said they'll do it over. They called the next day to ask about availability, and said they'd check the schedule and get back to me. Two days later, and I have not heard back from them. I've followed up twice. At this point, I am no longer interested in a redo. I just wish it'd been done correctly the first time. I rarely spend money on pedicures, so I am very disappointed.
