With the Adelson trials going on, my Nightmare comes back to me. I was a patient at the office of Angela Berkowitz, when Charles Adelson would be brought in to her office to do implant surgery, my experience was a nightmare, Charles adelsons work was more than terrible. I lost 20,000 dollars from the work failing and never could go back for the implant itself. I believe Angela Berkowitz hired Charles Adelson as a favor, his work was terrible, he screamed at me in her office, and absolutely no follow up from Berkowitz why her patient was not coming back for the finished product. A debutante conned me to come with her to Dentistry of South Florida, she was just coming for teeth cleaning, but that's enough to get me to clasp my cross of Christ. I've been coming here for a few years. It was easier when I lived closer to the office but I didn't have any complaints with them so I kept coming back after I moved. I had a cavity filled a few years ago by a male dentist on staff. He's no longer there. Fast forward, I needed another cavity filled and Dr. Berkovich did it herself. The filling had to be corrected because there was a spot that was, for lack of better word, gritty. She fixed it and that was that. Last week, I had two cavities filled and I will concur with the reviewer that said you need to watch them closely when it comes to billing. I came in for a cleaning that day and stressed that was the ONLY thing I wanted when I made my appt. I knew I had cavities to be filled but I also know that takes a bit of time so I wanted to tackle that at a later date, when I knew my schedule could accommodate. When I got into the chair, the assistant comes in with the billing sheet for the fillings since THEY decided I should just do them at that time. I wanted to walk out but I was already there so I decided to just get on with it. While being numbed, someone came in and asked me if I wanted to stay and get my cleaning done after the fillings because "something just opened up". NO! Not sure why you have to explain to the staff that you don't have time to be at the office for 3-4 hours on a weekday but I, again, had to stress that I didn't have time for that. The cavity was filled and the woman who worked on my mouth was not very good. I left with that same gritty feeling and now I can't floss in the spot they did the filling because my two back teeth are virtually plastered shut with absolutely no opening to floss. On the bright side, I probably don't have food in there either, but having to take time out of my work schedule, again, to drive back to the office from up north to have this fixed is the final straw. If you're going for a cleaning, go for it. But, if you need serious dental work, I'd think twice about coming here unless you have time to run back and forth for corrections to their work. read more

Watch you bills closely. They charge you for things after you leave and 3 months down the road. Most expensive, up selling Dentist I've ever used. No explanation of prices. Tried to push through things to my insurance I did not need. As far as the services , I had to come back three times due to the 900$ crown they ordered did not fit after doing three impressions. The dentist does very little work herself. Mostly done by her assistants. Referred me for root canal and that doctor questioned did I need one only after this Dentist drilled entire tooth out. I had to have 3 root canals done. I got 2 done on Monday from 9 till 1. I had Dr. Buoy who is the most amazing Dentist ever!!! This Dentist office operates with only dental hygienists almost every day. The dentist only comes in two to three times a month, which is when they schedule new patients. They use scar tactics to make patients get work done that is not needed. The secretary and the hygienist tried charging me $176 for a cleaning that my insurance covers 100%. I was told that I did not get a regular cleaning and I was very specific that I ONLY wanted a cleaning several times. I refused to pay and they started negotiating with me, I would not pay anything extra for a cleaning. They knew they were wrong and when I disagreed with paying they didn't argue to much after I told them I only wanted a cleaning. Then the lady said ok, then just pay $35 for something, as I still refused. I canceled my wife's appointment and my next appointment and I will never go to this used car salesman dentist again. $$$$$ You will never get away without extra charges no matter how good your insurance is, I was overcharged and never got a refund. She recommended a root canal or to be pulled, I elected pulling it, price was $279.00 insurance covers 80%. I request nitris last year I had a crown put in I was charged $50.00, this time she wanted $125.00 the entire canister costs her $50.00. All of a sudden my out of pocket fee was to be $500.00, I walked out. I called and left a message requesting the x rays they did on the day I was having it pulled and never got them. I went to another dentist who had to perform the x rays again which probably won't be covered because Berkovich had the nerve to bill my insurance company and not forward the x rays. It turned out I needed 2 teeth pulled due to bone loss and she was recommending a root canal. I felt like I was going to a car dealership entering that office, they try to sell, sell sell. Last year I needed endodontist work done on my gums but this year that was never brought up on 2 occasions, I needed 3 crowns after the hygienist was digging on them with her tool, which the insurance company denied saying they couldn't see good cause. Smoke and mirrors. While the offices and waiting room are beautiful and clean the feeling I get from this place is not what I'm looking for in a dentists office. Half the time I'm there I feel like I'm at a used car lot with them trying to sell me on everything from unnecessary procedures, follow up cleanings that my insurance doesn't cover to caps on my teeth for a gap that I've repeatedly told them I'm completely happy with. I'm sure this office works well for some people, the staff is pleasant enough. Not awesome but acceptable for me though. One plus is that I had to get some oral surgery and they brought in a Dr. from a separate office and he was excellent, though the staff at the office failed to inform me of the terrible pain that would follow the procedure and also didn't proactively give me any after care directions. read more

So. I went for a cleaning met the male dentist. Found him rude insensitive and unprofessional. Came back to get a cavity filled and they goofed on which one to do. Then when they were done the dental assistant asked me if I can feel that? I said I'm not sure what should I be feeling? She said "you don't feel anything sharp, well don't worry about it". I have had cavities before and had no idea what the hell she was talking about. Fast foward a week later and my tooth is bothering me and it feels like they left something in there.
