Michelle continues to exude professionalism and phenomenal service. Our experience tree was excellent with the best staff you can ever experience in any resort. From bell men Eian and Sergio to exceptional servers Elizabeth and Manny and the amazing Bartender Tim which go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied and happy. The food was incredible and just the beautiful oasis they've created is something special. The music bands were absolutely incredible in the restaurant and also on the boardwalk. Can I give negative stars?…read more Where do I even start. Perhaps, I can begin with the fact that we were promised a single family home (this is duplex - for those who do not want loud neighbors). When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was crap (literally feces) all over the deck area around the pool. Three separate spots before we even got to the pool. After that, we looked at the pool itself - which had cigarette butts and trash in it. We went into the house, which smelled like bleach - so I felt somewhat positive it had been cleaned - until I found food crumbs on the carpet and brown stuff (more feces?) on the toilet paper. Now, we called ValGal immediately on our arrival date (Saturday) and was told someone was coming immediately. No one did. My husband cleaned the pool but we waited for someone to clean the feces. When no-one arrived we called again on Sunday (and was told someone should be there shortly). We then called again Monday (after no-one showed on Sunday). Finally, late Monday someone cleaned the poop on the deck. Only for multiple iguanas to poop again in and out of the pool the rest of the trip. We just cleaned it ourselves. What was interesting to me is when I called (again) and asked to speak with someone about our stay, the woman who answered the phone said "this happens all the time and that the manager will not call back" - so there we go. We've rented from air B&B and in Florida before and never had issues like this. I know they will not respond (because they do not care at all) but wanted others to hopefully learn from our lesson. The manager explained to me the additional precautions that they're taking due to the ongoing pandemic. The location is prime--less than a block from the beach, and second-floor units even have a beautiful view of the ocean from the catwalk. The south end of the beach in Hollywood is great--close to the beach, close to bars and restaurants, but far enough from the center of the action on the boardwalk that it's still quiet and serene.
