Can I give negative stars? Where do I even start. Perhaps, I can begin with the fact that we were promised a single family home (this is duplex - for those who do not want loud neighbors). When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was crap (literally feces) all over the deck area around the pool. Three separate spots before we even got to the pool. After that, we looked at the pool itself - which had cigarette butts and trash in it. We went into the house, which smelled like bleach - so I felt somewhat positive it had been cleaned - until I found food crumbs on the carpet and brown stuff (more feces?) on the toilet paper. Now, we called ValGal immediately on our arrival date (Saturday) and was told someone was coming immediately. No one did. My husband cleaned the pool but we waited for someone to clean the feces. When no-one arrived we called again on Sunday (and was told someone should be there shortly). We then called again Monday (after no-one showed on Sunday). Finally, late Monday someone cleaned the poop on the deck. Only for multiple iguanas to poop again in and out of the pool the rest of the trip. We just cleaned it ourselves. What was interesting to me is when I called (again) and asked to speak with someone about our stay, the woman who answered the phone said "this happens all the time and that the manager will not call back" - so there we go. We've rented from air B&B and in Florida before and never had issues like this. I know they will not respond (because they do not care at all) but wanted others to hopefully learn from our lesson. Super friendly staff! The place we were at was furnished nicely and overall well maintained. We were within walking distance to downtown Hollywood, so a walk for date night was perfect. Hot tub at the end of the day was lovely . They have multiple properties on their website which look great- definitely going to check them out if we come back with our whole family. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING THROUGH THEM! NO PROFESSIONALISM AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I had to cancel my reservation due to COVID-19 and they are refusing to give me my refund. I had asked about the cancellation policy before booking and Made sure of the refund policy and they said as long as it it 30 days before check in which it is well before the 30 days. I tried calling and emailing and just keep getting the run around and now no one is answering. When I called about the refund policy again, Gus confirmed it had to be before 30 days to get the full refund and they still haven't given it to me. My family and I stayed at the Blue Parrot Inn for only one night for what was supposed to be a 4-night stay but everything was wrong. The night we checked in there was no power to the laundry facilities but the next morning only two of the many machines worked when they had power (I suspect the laundry facility's power was related to the pool construction). The pool had workers on site in the early morning loud with their tools and machines. Instead of the nice pool deck with lounge chairs that was displayed on the Airbnb listing. There was sand everywhere for what I assume is for laying some type of foundation and the pool chairs were thrown up and out of the way, inaccessible and unusable. Also, the shower had hot and boiling hot water for whatever reason there was no cold water in the shower. There was also supposed to be a provided parking pass which we never received. We decided to leave the night after checking in, our family could not stay in these conditions for the rest of the trip; comparing it to what we were advertised and expecting. There were other things wrong too like a poorly equipped kitchen, the weird unit door that would blow open in the wind unless deadbolted, especially terrible pullout sofa bed, broken bathroom mirror, windows that wouldn't stay open, weak a/c. Definitely almost ruined our trip, and it cost us so much money needing to find other last-minute accommodations. Awful. read more

They will say the insurance has nothing to do with them.....rented, paid in full, airlines cancelled flights. Could not get another one. Had to change dates of the vacation. ValGal had no availability for the new dates. INSURANCE WAS PURCHASED FOR INSTANCES LIKE THIS AND IT WAS DENIED. They took the money for the week anyway and would not refund. They even admitted they could refund, but said they won't. This is a scamming outfit. Do not trust them. read more

We rented a very cute house in Hollywood FL. The house looked like it did in the photos, which was great great, and was pet friendly. When we brought our small breed dogs out in the fenced in backyard, there were breaks in the fence where they could get out. We had to keep a very close watch on them. There was no vacuum in the pool. Didn't matter because it rained anyway. There was a leak in the roof, so we put a bucket in the living room to catch the water so it wouldn't get on the tile floor. The mold caused terrible allergies so we had to leave a day early. We're not sure if the home owner is aware of the roof leak, however, the company will be contacted to inform him before we leave. read more

Reservation booked in late January was cancelled 48 hours prior to start of our week long reservation. "Owners" and "new reservation system" were blamed and an alternative property sourced thru AirBNB (not under their management) was proposed as an alternative, as they did not have any properties available to offer for our team. $13,000+ rental, paid in full and booked well in advance... and all we got was an apology and a promise of a discount off of a future reservation, neither of which solved our immediate housing need. We won't be giving this agency another opportunity to leave our team stranded and scrambling during peak season in South Florida. read more

As noted by others - can I give negative stars???? We booked a luxury home for a weeks long business meeting ($13,000) and TWO DAYS before they cancelled the reservation. No apology, no help and no alternative provided - only a refund. We have people flying in from all over the country and are scrambling as it is Spring Break in Florida. I am very disappointing with my reservation with VALGAL VACATION RENTAL at 1903 Ocean Bay Drive, Pompano Beach FL. 33062. I was annoyed to find a number of situations that i will describe with details. The house is infested of cockroaches that walked in the kitchen utensils and food that i have to trough it away wile we were using the pool. The ceiling is a shelter for vats that make so much noise during the day. Valgal Rental offered me a refund of $300.00 dollars for not writing a bad reviews which I did not accept. As some one who values family day and the memories created, I would hate to see another family's trip rental ruined by these invasive situations. Please do not rent this property and look at the pictures that I uploaded. read more

Recently stayed in their rental in Hollywood FL. It was infested with ants. Was supposed to be pet friendly yet the backyard fence is in disrepair and my dog got out. One of the bathrooms isn't functional. Wouldn't recommend renting any of their properties on VRBO. read more

When Covid 19 is over DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! We cancelled our trip in the beginning of March and I was well within the cancellation policy of 30 days for a full refund. It has been over 30 days and I have not received my refund yet of over $2000. The company stopped responding to my emails and when they were responding nobody could give me an estimate as to when I would receive my money. They said 10-14 days and then it was changed to April and now I believe the last date someone gave me was May. They claim too many people are requesting refunds at the moment. This company is not trustworthy. Made reservations at a Dania Beach house through VRBO and apparently this company partners with them. We sent the required deposit and received the contract with a date on when to send the remaining payment. Last week, they sent an email stating that the reservation was cancelled because protocol was not followed and sent us the deposit back. Called them but they cannot explain where is that protocol was not followed. They claim that 5 emails were sent to us which is not true. It is very apparent that the house was double booked and they were able to charge more and did not respect the rental agreement in place. They should not be in business. read more

Like some of the other complaints we had a signed contract, had already paid for the rental in full for Jan 2018 when we recieved a phone call today stating that the owner wants $1000 more for the rental. We obviously refused to pay more, and despite having a contract we lost the rental. We also now have non-refundable airfare to deal with. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company! I had not 1 but 2 bad experiences with this company when trying to book a vacation rental for my annual family vacation. First, they canceled my Airbnb booking because they claimed the owner is selling the house, when they probably found someone to pay more. They had offered me a 2-bedroom for 6 people as a substitute, which clearly was not going to work. I started looking up other options on Homeaway.com and I found another property they had for rent and luckily the difference would only be $90 more. I called and tried to arrange a swap and they had the nerve to tell me I was out of luck and that the price was being increased to an additional $280 as we spoke! Even though I had screenshots of the +$90 price from that day, they refused to honor it. This is horrible, unethical business practice. Stay away from this shiesty company if you want peace of mind for your vacation. read more

When I called them to find out why Rose told me that they didn't receive paperwork on time. Nothing I received said paperwork needed to be received by a certain time other than half rental payment 60 days prior to rental. I do not recommend this company for the sole fact that they accepted my reservation (keep in mind I have no clue about their contract, as it is not listed ANYWHERE), and then end up cancelling on me two months later. And have the AUDACITY to keep a fee, as I now have to find a new home and loose out on money! The advisors were very rude and mocked me as I am "young"! My husband, sister in law and brother in law stayed in the Maui house in Hollywood Florida May 2019. All we wanted to do was RELAX at our own private pool for a few days. I have rented through Val Gal in the past and never had an issue. I had always talked with the owner Valerie Galeski. This time was different. I made my reservation with an Asian woman who claimed Valerie was out of town. We arrived on a Thursday night. First thing Friday we went out to our pool. We noticed that the filter was not working. I called Val Gal to let them know again speaking to an Asian woman. She claimed the filter was on a timer that went on at night From 8 pm to 8 am. We thought that was odd, So we waited to see if the filter did in deed go on at 8 pm. It did not. I called Val Gal again on Sat same Asian woman and was told again that it was on a timer. I told her it never went on and the pool was getting dirty. I asked to speak to Valerie and was told she was not there. I left a message for her to call me. Asian woman said she would call the pool guy to come over but he never came. I called again on Sunday and told her nobody showed up and the pool water was getting muggy looking and dirty. We did our best to clean what we could with the net but it was not enough. There was a film residue forming on the wall of the pool. We were not comfortable going in the pool because we were worried about bacteria. Since it was a Sunday I was told I had to wait until tomorrow because the pool company was not open. I asked her to please send him 1st thing in the am. I also asked for Valerie, of course she was not available. The pool guy finally showed up at 1:00 Monday afternoon. He informed me that this was the first call he received from Val Gal and he had just received the call at 12:00 to come to our place. The filter was broke just like we said. He was able to fix it so We had the rest of Monday to relax at the pool. We left Tuesday. I had also left 6 messages with the Asian woman to have Valerie call me back and to this day I have not heard from her. I do not think that Valerie owns this company anymore. read more

I stayed at the Van Buren home in Hollywood for one month. Verry disappointed. The house it's very old, filthy, nothing it's updated. It doesn't look like in the pictures at all. The pictures gives you the impression that it is completely renovated. It is not. Beds uncomfortable all three of them, verry bad quality linen, dirty pots and pans extra small bathrooms..The pool is much smaller than it looks in the picture, but did the job. Back yard big but be aware, the greenery was cut off to 3-4 feet so everybody was looking at you from the street... It will grow probably. The house it's big, air condition was working, the patio in the back of the house was big and useful but with old patio furniture dirty pillows, poor quality. The neighbourhood is nice and proved to be safe. Be aware if you go with friends, the bedrooms are not well insulated you can hear everything. For us it was ok we were there with my daughter her husband and my grandson. Not a house for small children. Wires were hanging out of the walls, to many steps. Half of the windows don't open the handles were missing. It is a corner lot so it is very noisy, cars constantly passing by. If you don't stay a lot there it's maybe ok, but with the baby unfortunately we stayed in more... For the money we paid 10.000 Canadian dollars it was the most disappointing vacation. I can't recommend it to anyone. Sorry. read more
